What's the history on Mid City? I remember I saw mid city tagged in a creek (Rio seco) but I think it was mid city from LA. BRS used to always tag in that creek, and they say their name means dry creek. So I think it's a homegrown name as well.

Im not arguing because i dont have a way to reach the vetes i know from the first gen, but i have a couple questions. What was the name of the hood that was by the airport that got torn down by taylor and coleman where all those empty streets are? I grew up in some projects by first and gish on those dead ends on a street they tore out called guadalupe parkway that is under 87 now back when it had stop lights by juvenile hall. We called our selves "deadend red raggers" but we were little kids, there was a real hood right there but i dont remember the name. We used to beef with a scrap hood thats not there any more either called 5th street, its all business parks where their apartments were near 101.

VSL was the first Sureno hood in San Jo but they didn't have a neighborhood, just on the weekends they had Tropicana only but no hood. VST was the first Sureno gang in SJ to have a neighborhood then SSP then Poco Way. All the small Crip hoods that were around and faded out the Surenos took them over. Poco Way was SOS so was Kolmar. Then they pop up everywhere in the Eastside in small neighborhoods apartments complex, and dominated those areas. Your Hood list was pretty good was laughing when you throw mine out there, SSSJ Seven Trees area, a lot of history I got a lot of good homeboy from Alma I even known the original Mobsters the brothers a lot of history in the West. You were on point with a lot of the information and off a bit on some but good over all. I don't promote the lifestyle or encourage it but is part of my history.
The first sureno Hood was on 33rd Street and San Antonio varrio Sol

I was told that whole Cholo style came from Juarez and El Paso. I know Pachucos came from El Paso and took it to LA thats why that bus is El Paso to Los Angeles because migrated from Juarez for years El Paso is called El Chuco.
And that style "Zoot Suits" came from the African American culture 30s and 40's... it was made popular in Harlem in the Jazz night life.

That's what makes the Bay Area different from the south. The Bay Area is diverse and the Mexicans and blacks live amongst each other. I live in Texas and my buddy said that he could always tell when a Mexican was from Houston because they talk with a black accent.

San Jo Bad Boys was an gang of around 20-25 dudes before it changed to Varrio Little Town ( Mid 70’s to early 80’s )
Vato’s like Headstone ( Jerry Menchaca ) and “Chuco” Antonio Guillen were some of the members. Varrio Siete Arboles (VSA) had notable vatos like the Lugo family.
