Thank you for watching! Which left hand patten from the ones introduced in this video is the most challenging for you and why?
I am a long time piano player but trying my hand at dueling piano gigs. Working on stronger left hand. Videos showing left hand patterns to drive rhythm of popular dueling piano songs might be cool. I will watch some more of your videos to seek tips. Thank you, Tom.
@@tsutphenfeel free to visit us one day for some piano duelling. We have two pianos in the studio! You've been warned (it's a great joy btw!)
Great left-hand workouts. Thank you!
The patterns with root octaves.
As always, another great lesson.
From now on, I am your student! Brilliant ! Wat I need!
Even MUCH MORE AWESOME 👌 👏 👍 THANKS SO MUCH 😊
I'm thrilled to hear that you enjoyed the video!
Thanks Tom…
I started learning piano just about a month ago… as a life long lover of the Blues, I am so glad I found you and this channel 👌🏻
I just “lost myself” for over an hour learning and practicing these bass lines. I am sure I am going to be returning to this one many times 🍻
Thank you for your comment - and we are honored to be a part of your piano learning process, and excited to see where your blues journey takes you!!
It is so encouraging when you talk about things like taking the time to build up left hand strength. Your videos are so inspiring.
Thanks so much for giving these left hand grooves. I have been like two years self learning. Trying to make my left hand do something on her own was like starting to write or to draw again from scratch. I have made good progress improvising with the right hand but I'm stuck in the usual rock 'n' roll patterns with the left hand. I even tried to figure out patterns using 7ths but it came out really poor. So your video really means a lot. Glad to be a subscriber!
Merci beaucoup for this, even though I felt sad. Wait a minute, it's the blues.
On the bright side, if you ever need some musical accompaniment for a good cry, I'm your guy....
Oh wow. What mastery! I'm speechless 🤩
Thank you so much for your kind words! I'm thrilled to hear that you enjoyed the video and appreciate your support.

Hi Tom, could you please tell me which right hand notes you play in the first example in CFG? I’m a natural lefty but need a lot of practice for my right hand. Thank you for a great teaching video.
Please make more tutorial about jazz Bebop Piano..thanks
Noted!
Hi Tom Just ran into your channel tonight ! Im newbie I wish you had thé chordie app to show thé noté you are playing check piano with Nate hé has à link to that app gumroad, it would be so much easier for beginners Love your playing Thank you so much for your Amazing talent indeed 😅cheers from Québec 🎼
I've been coming back to this often since it's a useful video. But as someone who is colour blind, I find it difficult to see the dark blue on the black keys. Could you start using a bright yellow which would make it easier to see the contrast?
I appreciate your feedback, and I'm sorry to hear that the dark blue on the black keys is difficult to see. I'll do my best to make sure that the colors I use are more visible for viewers with color blindness in the future. Thanks for bringing this to my attention
@@contemporaryschoolofpiano That would be great. I can't see it so well either. Maybe, if the digital representation of the keyboard would be bigger, that would already be a solution. The window is very small. Cheers.
Nice! Is there a name for Pattern 1?
You could call it a Boogie
if you are right handed, that's the way you are and you just need to put some extra work into your left hand. And it is worth putting some extra effort on you left hand.
starts 1:28 folks
I'd say it start around 13:09 when the video ends and you walk straight to the piano!
@@contemporaryschoolofpiano Yes, I might do that.
Cái đầu tiên được, cái thứ 2 và 3 chưa ổn.
Really useful and well explained.
