Today, I visited Little India in Singapore, a unique neighborhood where Muslims and Hindus share the same street! This fascinating place is home to both Halal and Hindu cultural stores and restaurants. I was captivated by the blend of cultures-hearing Hindu music from one house and Quran recitations from the next. In today’s vlog, I’ll be sharing some incredible sights and experiences that were entirely new to me 😅🇮🇳🥹. Firstly, Singapore is centrally located in Southeast Asia and historically it has always been a busy port of call. There’s a melting pot of culture, race and religion here. It’s has always been bustling with people and trade. For Singapore to be efficient and cutting edge, the Govt welcomes foreign talents and workers, and as you walk along Little India, there are Indians that are from India, Pakistan, Malaysia and Bangladesh. As a local here I can tell the difference. I can also tell if they are foreigners or local. And as you walk along, there are many tourists as well.
With regard to place of residence, the tall apartments that you pointed or what we call flats here, are the public housing. We also have condominiums, luxury apartments, bungalows and others.
The two-storied, sometimes three, long building structures are what we call the shophouses. This was the building of old, some as old as mid 1800’s. These shophouses used to house people and for trade purposes. That is why they are called shophouses. But now, under law it can only be use a commercial purposes and not for residences.
As you have wandered into Little India, China town and Arab Streets, these were the demarcation areas or sectors that was design by the British, as we were under their Occupation. So we have, near Raffles Hotel area, that was the Govt area, like City Hall, Post Office, Police Stations. China Town was the sectors for the Chinese coolies and merchants. Little India was for the Indian communities and the Arab Street were for the Arabs. The Arabs were placed together with the Muslim communities, that include natives and immigrants from neighbouring countries like Malaysia and Indonesia.
But now these buildings houses no one and strictly for commercial use and the residents mostly are placed into the flats, and each flat we have all the different race living together.

Mostly it's shop houses, maybe there are a few people living in them as far as I know most of them are shop houses I'm a Singaporean 😊

Indian population should be more than 2 billions, 1.5 billion live in India and rest lives outside India. I am not sure how many Indians live on moon.
India population 1.4 billion people and from Singapore same it's Indian visited Street more 1milion
