Love this board just got mine and don’t agree with any of your complaints, been riding skateboards for over 45 years I’m 62 and still riding and love everything about this board
I just got mine after owning a Meepo V2 Plus for a few years and the V4s feels much more premium. The wheels especially provide a much smoother ride. And I don't think the board looks bad at all. The battery and esc enclosures have that curvy design that's totally unique in the e-skate market. And the graphics look much more grown-up than most others. I'm not a fan of the bushings, though. I had a set of orange orangatang nipples on my V2 Plus and those felt much better. Much better rebound and they made the trucks feel like you could always keep turning deeper whereas the stock meepo bushings feel like there's a limit to how much they can turn.
Love Meepo, have ridden their entire lineup and this budget board is a bit too budget at this stage in the industry. Meepo has been challenging the competition with their prompt innovation but this new model seems outdated yesterday.
Great review, surprised to hear the negative reaction towards the concave deck. I personally have rode the V4 Shuffle since release and love how much control it gives me. Buying a V4S ER soon and am very pleased they kept the deck shape, no matter how unique.
⚡ *Still lovin the henchmen* 🤙🏼⚡ 1.5A is so slow 😱 feel like it's just an upsell to fast charger tactic 😂 Great edit 👌🏼 "Much beh'er" in the London accent was great! 😂 the jokes were great haha. Those microphones need to carry on gettin more and more ridiculous lol. *Prana in the back* 🤩🤩
I've had this board for a couple months and the extended range version is fine. Basically everything about it is stiff. I rode a backfire g2 recently and realized how different mine was. Turning is so strange and the weight combined with the wheels makes it stick to the ground in a way. By no means is it bad, the weight makes it so you can run over anything. Extended range works better than advertised. It just might give the wrong impression to someone who has not rode many boards. It's like the semi truck of E-boards.
Thanks for this review! I am liking the wheels and trucks on this but the range and warranty seem disappointedly out of date. I am curious about how this compares to the other hub options around this price point, say under $600? Tynee, Possway, Wowgo, others? Would you consider doing a 2022 update side by side for this class of boards? What I am looking for: much better range, best flexible deck for carving, a better warranty (six months for a cutting edge tech product like this is confusing and a little disheartening). I think there are many other riders like myself who are looking for a good value quiet e-board that is comfortable, fun to ride for long range carving, which can be trusted to last longer than half a year.
Hello there i got meepo mini 2 and i been using more than 10 months i nearly finishing 1000 kilometres and everything is fine and quality also nice so meepo nice if you want go but if you have any more company in your mind than you can think
For 5/6 km per day, in town, with some paved areas but above all good coating, and a fairly hard climb of 200m, do you have a board to recommend to me? A not more than 500 euros if possible. I was thinking of going on a scooter but for my stairs I quickly forgot. Thank you in advance if you take the time to answer me! (PS: for the moment the choices turn more towards the possway t3)
Assuming you are still looking, I got the extended range version and I actually have trouble making it go dead. Has voltage sag and percentage isn't accurate but it still takes forever.
Just be aware that Wowgo has one of the most questionable aftercare and QC service. They forgot one of the pulley bearings in my 3x, but still did their 100km QC test without it, so it damaged the pulley before even arriving. Their reply was to go buy some on Amazon as they're cheap, and they gave a $15 generic coupon code only applicable on boards (not parts/accessories) to make up for it. I have also one of the belt motors that blew up, and they've yet to reply to the enquiry after a week, and the warranty is running out this month.
@@ova1960 I think most of these new Chinese companies are a hit or a miss with their products. The support and after sales services can only be better with an in house brands like evolve or backfire that have been around for some time now
WowGo’s after care is excellent. I bought the 2s pro and max. They sent me a replacement battery for a recall on the pro without me even asking. They went out of their way to contact me for weeks through phone, text, and email to let me know they were sending me a battery. I’ve had no problems with the boards. They are very reliable.
Personally I would recommend the wowgo 2s max, I have the backfire g3 as well. But in my opinion the wowgo 2s max is the best budget board in my opinion. Can’t say anything about the merlo v4s though
@@josiahmoss9422 Ended up going with the V4s, cant complain too much . Kinda wish the board was just a bit longer and softer, but it get the job of commuting done
I've 100 miles on a V4S ER and it's budget for sure. ESC for me is the biggest let down. Power and brake mode 1 are entirely useless (I'm 85kg). No real power until mode 4 however both brake and acceleration are not smooth no matter how gentle you are with the remote. I've had a few wobbles due to esc jerk.
@@andrewpaschall8992 I sold the board on as it wasn't something I could live with. I discovered the front wheels were also rubbing against the deck during hard turns so I suspect some of the esc jerk was actually the wheels fouling. I've since bought a Tynee Explorer and it's a world better in every way.
@GeeKIller I don't think there's various versions at all, I just think their quality control is lackluster. I have a standard shuffle and it got me up to 25 within about 3 seconds on a slight incline. I weigh around 100kg as well.

Compared to the meepo v4 shuffle standard this has been a major down grade for me. The motors have decreased in power compared to the meepo v4 shuffle that sucks because that had a lot of torque and felt amazing all i have to say is this board looks better same layout though.

No more Meepo. They INTENTIONALLY bring two versions (based on battery) of the same board. The actual budget version (< 500$) is always a shitty low range, sagging board forcing you to buy the more expensive version (> 500$).
Absolutely shady, there is wheel bite, the battery indicator is inaccurate, and why would they send the lower tier version for reviewers to review if the extended range and the fast charger is its selling points? Unless it doesn't do what it claims right?
@@stephen0406 backfire disappoints me I'm ngl, 600 dollars for a board with decent range, relatively week motors, and an uncomfy controller. I love my meepo 4 but if I were to get another I'd prolly go for a wowgo 2s or a meepo 4s er.
Something is very wrong with these videos. All the riding shots made in this video feature some of the greatest paths I’ve seen (been riding for 4years). But nobody is seen there, even when riding through the blocks just nobody is around. The main streets are wide but hardly any cars are around…. What’s up with that?
Not sure what this video recommends, but DO NOT BUY MEEPO. I have been a customer for 5 years, there ESC randomly stops working, causing extremely dangerous situations when you suddenly cant break! They used to be good with customer service, but after telling them about this issue they completely left me out to dry. The company has gotten too big it would seem, the days of dealing with a passionate skateboarder are gone. Completely profit driven with no support, and faulty dangerous boards.
