i own the GLB 250 4MATIC now for 2 years (5 seater) ... i put in there two ! 29 eBikes and one normal mullet Downhill Bike only removing the front wheels. (3 bikes!!!) Its unbelievable how much space for sports and outdoor fun the GLB offers. the front wheels of the bikes can be placed between the frame and the backdoors so the space in the middle is free for suitcases or a third bike. happy with the car and can recommend it 100 percent.
I own the glb200, same engine option, since last july year and heres my opinion. The bad: interior feels cheap inside, feels way behind infinity qx50 at same price point. That screens reflects too much light on a bright day. Dont like the run flat tire, too harsh ride. A bit too much sway on cornering at 30kmh and up at no load. So i changed them from 19 to 20 inch wheel and tire combo. Now the good: this car is agile. Love to drive it in tight space. Turn radius is small enough to do u turn within 2 and a half lane width. Enough power to carry 5 to 6 adult. Smoother ride with 6 or 7 people. Visibility from driver point of view, can be adjusted to almost as tall as X5 (the feel, not actual height) and as low as qx50. Space inside is good for 5 adults and 2 kids. Steering is awesome, light and responsive for daily driving.
You convinced me to buy one - (second hand) GLB 220 4 matic Premium Plus with Night Pack - 3 grandchildren under 7 was the motivation for the additional iso fix seats in the rear. I already also own the A220 AMG line premium and the identical dash means my wife has no issues jumping over into the GLB and being confident to drive it. (just wish it had memory seats -grrrr). No frustrations really and the ride is fine for an SUV although the A class is much sportier to drive. Space in the boot is limited with child no 3 in one of the back seats but we still managed a picnic box plus all the usual child accessories. I am happy with this car.
The UK version is crazy, I just bought this car in the US three months ago (5 seats with no AMG line, has power seats and lumbar and is 221 hp petrol). I test drove the GLC as well, and the tech in the GLB is what convinced me, the ride and cabin noise were pretty much the same. So far I love it, with only one complaint the sun visor doesn't extend, can you believe that, I didn't bother to check cause I thought of course it will, its a Mercedes..but no....

5 more inches in the wheelbase and 5 more in the cargo area will do wonders for this thing. It would fit 7 passengers with ease, and at 192", it'll be loads shorter than most SUV's and way more than most minivans.

The trigger word needs to be changed - and it’s meant to be ‘Hey Mercedes’ - not just ‘Mercedes’ which is what happens. Or they need to fix it - again given the retail price point this shouldn’t be happening.
The windshield glass of the GLB250 cracks easily with any small flying object that hits the glass on the road. I have a 2020 GLB250 and so far The windshield has cracked 5 times in less than 2 years. I believe the cause is attributed to a flaw in the upright design of the front windshield. No recall has been announced and MB has not admitted any wrong.
I find the GLB far more appealing than the GLC. Regarding the 1.33-l turbo engine, I feel it gets a lot of hate from people who have never driven it. My father got a new B200 earlier this year with that motor and I am impressed with the smoothness and silence and the power. It’s powerful and torquey and definitely not underpowered. The fuel economy which my father achieves with his B200 is also incredible. With a soft foot and intelligent driving (in ECO Mode), he can get as low as 4.8 L / 100 km - impressive for any modern car, and this also includes some Autobahn driving (but he never drives faster than 120-130 km/h anyways).
I test drove the 1.3 and thought it a bit harsh and you need the revs up for the power. I also drove the electric which was fine - however the residuals are terrible - settled for the 220 diesel and its much nicer to drive than the 1.3 turbo, in my opinion
Bought a brand new GLB but broken down twice in two months time (in repair center for more than a month). Only drove for less than 500km and its still in repair center now. Whats more ridiculous is that they asked me to trade in the current faulty car and buy another new one from them. I was completely blown away! Think twice if you still consider Mercedes as your family car (mine was suddenly dead on the road) since the gearbox problem has been a major issue in the past few years, friends of mine also having problems with their Mercedes.

Had one of these back when they came out in 2020. Had FOUR recalls in 12 months, first model made in Mexico at their new factory.. avoid the early cars. Also after one winter the exterior chrome detailing was etched by road salt. The best or nothing, I’m not convinced!

Hi Mat. First of all I would like to say I love your reviews, they are not boring and cover all important aspects when you choosing a car (for me at least) As for this car for me is an “avoid” option, for one simple reason, I have Mazda 6 10 plate and it has a bigger boot space then this 7 seater when you fold last two seats😂. Reason I’m looking for a 7 seater is purely for a boot space so for me this is a no no. Thanks 😊
BMW's IDrive is way better and I'd get an x7. However, if it were between the GLS and GLB, I'd go for the GLS (obviously). But I still think that BMW's x7 is the best full size luxury SUV.
GLB is sacrificing boot space for 2 pax in the rear. If u are doing Cross Country with 7 pax, it's not possible unless u have a doraemon pouch or without luggage at all
Id pick skoda kodiaq over that, its just the tech, praticality and price is much more. Only thing i like on glb is it comes with third row anchor point for kids.
I have the 2020 version and it’s a lovely car. My only qualm is with the gearbox which revs up excessively when you brake the car a lot more than it should. Overall very happy!
Amazing car I have a 2020 model (AMG Line Premium) and one problem keeps coming back after a third visit to the garage- windscreen whistling! If you are driving above 170 km/h (Autobahn, Germany,) you may hear it
For this price I'd get a fully loaded Mazda CX-5, and if u don't like that, a refresh is coming this year and a full redesign next year. Always better to buy a loaded cheap brand than a base luxury brand in every aspect.
Great review as always Mat. I think the GLB is a fantastic car, very well thought out, and only minor negatives really.. How I wish you moved the second row of the GLE forward in like manner to give the third row a 'fair chance' 😢😉.

The PRND stalk on steering looks very flimsy for a premium car. Why don't they do it in center console? Also Mercedes needs to up their game on paltry 3-yr only warranty.

I'm going to buy one..but not with low profile tires..we have too many pot holes in NE..good job Mate!
From what I can see, this car is great for families with small kids they can move to the back if they have some visitors you need to give a ride to.
Mat: This is the best infotainment system in the market
BMW fans: (argument starts)
I cant believe it but that looks like an mercedes bens thats actually bang for buck
This content lately is absolutely awesome! Great job to Mat and the whole carwow team!
Aaaaaaaàaa
Content has always been great. But you can tell they have stepped it up a notch. Great work!! Even the editor is doing bits
Lencal Yup!
Looks like the carwow stick of truth is in quarantine these days! Lol 😂 😂 😂 😂 😂 😂 😂 😂!

7:55 “ ooo Elo trapped “ 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
I’ll pass it looks like a funeral car 😬
Lmao it doesn’t
This one comment alone can kill the future of GLB😂
How does this looks like a funeral car. And what is a funeral car? Just say you don't like it
@@patrickamponsah679 a funeral car is a long bodied car that is big enough to fit a coffin.
@@rumyan7126 So the right word is a hearse. Which it doesn't have any resemblance with
blured image of the 18 inch alloys, GLA text instead of GLB....I could go on. Some of these more recent reviews look very thrown together. Output clearly more important than quality !
Looks stubby and cute. Wish it came it fun colours boring black, silver and navy are thing of the past.
The Mercedes GLC and the Mercedes GLB should swap names. Otherwise it makes no sense...
the GLB interior looks much better than GLC, but, there are more metallic parts in GLC which make GLC more luxurious
Wait for the new GLC and it will make sense again
@@raphaelkaufmann2078 but when the new GLC will have 5 seats only then it wont make sence. GLS GLE and GLB have 7 seats but the GLC in the middle doesnt...🤔
@@raphaelkaufmann2078 then probably 3 more years cuz we just have the new GLC facelift
Tuấn Anh Phạm yeah 2022 I guess. New C class in spring of 2021 I‘d expect it one year later

How could this happen🤦🏻♂️😂😨
Doug DeMuro be like: Small crossover from Mercedes
Which he likes
he's kinda missing a lot on his recent reviews
Nikola Zivanovic Doug : Why the GLB 2021 is the coolest Small SUV ...... proceeds to give it a cool factor of 1
@@RAKITHA9With the value score being a typical 6/10
@Dylan Jacobs he became a dealer adboy as he got bigger really. he never presents any small criticisms anymore and doesn't do unique older cars as often as he used to. he just does the new releases from his dealer mates that are close to where he lives.
Matt's spot on., just gonna say London Taxi, or possibly a Cullinane, close up though, looks very cheap & tacky!!
Another complete winner from Mercedes. I had a GLC, this looks as good.
Can you include a short review of the sound system in you reviews? I feel like that’s important for quite many people.
3:46 this isn’t a gla matt
Maverick I know
🤦♂️
I love this new GLB ! ❤️
I looked at one, but didn't get to the point of driving it. I hated the interior and that was the end of it...lol! I do like the size and look if the GLB, but the interior is where you spend your time.
In America, the GLB comes with power seats on the base models and we have the 5 seat as standard, the extra row is a upgrade lol
YES.Mercedes like a bit lies..I really love this part of the video😂😂😂😂😂
Looks like a 4x4 Hearse. 😗
Who else has the habit of guessing the verdict ✋🏼
I had one of these as a loaner a few weeks back i liked it.
Mat, do Tesla Model X vs Mercedes GLS vs Range Rover sport vs Audi Q8 vs BMW X7 Race
2:15 not London taxi its fake taxi
Search on Google Chrome
I'm a simple man. I see mat in the thumbnail and I click on it.
Looks like an suv version of a Nissan Cube
The PRND stalk on steering looks very flimsy for a premium car. Why don't they do it in center console? Also Mercedes needs to up their game on paltry 3-yr only warranty.
Just a small discrepancy on the video during engine explanations, on petrols you put GLB on Diesels GLA not confusing just for fun. 😂😂😂 you are the best, im huge fun from 🇦🇱 Albania😉😉😉
