The wider mold . Great DIY. Thank you
Nice resin ring
Awesome thank you for sharing.
Great video
Muito bom adorei seu trabalho parabéns
How do you know how full to fill the mold? Everytime I do these, it leaves excess on top of the ring when done
Hi Tif, while the mold is empty and you look at from the side, you can see when the "lip" of the mold starts and then you can mark it with a marker/pen. It could help to stop going past that mark. Usually though, I fill and then just sandpaper excess. Good luck!
where did you purchase your resin from that it came in a squeeze bottle?
Hello, most uv resin you buy in stores would come with nozzles. I buy uv resin from Amazon but you can also buy these online from Walmart, Wish and AliExpress.
which resin brand do you buy off amazon?
Hi Joshua, Thank you for watching and I hope you've subscribed to my channel. I've only used 2 brands so far but would recommend the Frenshion brand which I've bought again as it is really no odor, unless heated with the heat gun and cures better than the other brand. Good luck!
Hii what sandpaper did you use for the rings ?
Hi Chantal, Thanks for watching. I hope you've subscribed to my channel. For this video, I used 400 grit sand paper.
@@PollyArtsCo Okay thank you so much, also which polish brand would I be able to use as I am starting out with resin rings as well. Loved the video and your rings btw💕
Lately, I've been using uv gel top coat (nail polish) to polish pieces that I've sanded. I just find the top coat application easier and also cures very well. While I still use the 400 grit sand paper in my work, I have also been using the nail file for easier handling. Good luck!🍀
where do you put to dry and do you put any top coat
Hi Andrea, I use uv resin so I "dry/cure" it using a uv lamp or under the sun. If you use epoxy resin, it does take a while to dry but you can wait for it to cure just as long as it's not exposed to anywhere where it can get wet.
I sometimes paint a thin layer of uv resin on top of my pieces to make it shiny but try to avoid painting as it can leave streaks.
Where is that open mold from??
Hi Angelica, here in Canada, I bought it from oomomo, a physical store. The store sells mostly Daiso products so if you have a Daiso or Japanese dollar type stores near you, you might find it there.
Hi Charley, the link I'm putting here should be similar to the molds I've used. www.amazon.ca/dp/B08M33R3D3/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_glt_i_CT7YDSESD0DM4WKGMJXX
I am not associated with Amazon nor the seller but I think you can start out with something like this. It's Canadian Amazon though so you'll just have to find something similar to your country's Amazon.
Wish I'd seen this before I bought molds. I'm just starting out. I tried the mold that is open in the middle. What a disaster. I decided I wasn't going to do rings ever again. I do have the other mold and having watched this video, I'm going to try it. Other than that, I learned a good bit just watching this. Thanks so much!!!
