I'm so glad that you showed the failure with the wire, I've had so many failures with clay projects that I've been seriously considering just going on with my painting portraits and landscapes, and especially now with my weak left arm and hand; but you've inspired me not to give up just yet. Making trinket trays, I thought would be so easy, but they're not so easy as you show; you're such an expert at this and I am in awe of your mastery over it all. The trinket stand is awesome, CC; simply beautiful! But then everything you create is! :)
