Thanks for the review. I've a question: Can I connect a dynamic mic having TRS connector to the line input (i.e. Input 2) of this Scarlett Solo to record vocals?
Thannnk you very much! I had so many problems with USB Interfaces, and now I'm getting myself the right one for my Shure SM7B I'm ordering! This helped me a lot!
That's what I wanted to hear! You could record a mic with guitar at the same time right? Would you be able to have 1 mic track and 1 guitar track or is it layered together?
Someone PLEASE help me. This horrible little box that everyone is praising ONLY sends audio to the left headphone, not to both headphones. WTF is going on? This is the biggest waste of $110 dollars for a product that doesn't work

I have installed everything. But my Neumann tlm102 getting no signal with v48 on even head phones nothing. I’m using max Catalina 10.5+ and input output has already selected in system preferences. Someone help please
I have a couple questions for the instrument side of the interface: under the gain knob, there's a button that says "INST" -- what does that mean and what does it do? Also, what do the "Direct Monitor" button and monitor knob do?
I use the beyerdynamic dynamic mic & my singing voice is distorted terribly. Can I check if the interface works with my mic- dynamic mics or it just works with condenser mics?
Yes it does work with dynamic microphones too of course. Check your gain settings. Does it distort with very low gain settings too? And you're using an XLR connection?
Mine lags like a mother fucker. Even with direct monitoring it prints lagged. I have 6 other interfaces that work perfect and I can record 10 mics at once. Wtf
What type of latency does this have? I need it as low as possible. I play fast and intricate music, so any bit of latency becomes an issue. Is it good for this?
im trying to set uo my at2020 to fl studio and i changed my speakers on my desktop to usb focusrite and do the same in fl studio and my interface doesnt pick up any vocals, how do i fix this? my xlr cable is brand new, the light doesnt flash over my line but it does on my instrument and yes i have the phantom power on
do you know why i can only heard my self on one ear only. I try to remove the software and i does not seem to work. I return one unit already and the second keeps doing the same
Towards the end of your video you mention that you can record on either side of the Solo, so if you want to add a preamp, can you plug in your mic on the “INST” on the Solo with a TRS instead on the XLR? And also I’ve noticed you didn’t press the green button on the far right to turn it on. Can you please clarify this? Thanks a lot!
let me first say that I already have the fiio k3 that I use for my headphones, do you think it is a waste to buy an audio interface, for example, scarlett solo only for the xlr microphone?
Hi! Thank you for this video. I am new to voiceover and I have this whole set up with the mic. I am having so much trouble with using it. specifically - right now it records aaaaaalll of the outside sounds (outside of my voice), like all of the hissing, all of the cars, all of wind whistling and so on. I am having hard time finding any information on how to take care of this problem. Does anyone know where I can find some resources on this? Idk I thought I set it all up when I received it by following all the steps, but the sound is horrible =( Please help! Thank you in advance!
Hey Anastasia, the mic able to record all the sounds is kind of a good thing - you know it picks up detail! Sounds like you have to find a quiet, sound insulated place to do the recording.
What XLR cable did you connect to it? The one that came with my microphone has a small hole to connect to a latch inside the socket. I almost broke the interface socket trying to remove the cable!
Hello Reuben. First of all, thanks for the video. Hey, do I need to download the software in order for the device to work? I am using Fruty Loops studio.
Thank you for the review ! Does anyone know how you get the free software ? I am thinking about ordering one from abroad so not sure whether I need a code for the software download or not?
Can you confirm whether or not you’re able to listen to your monitor and headphones at the same time or does plugging your headphones in mute the monitor output?
Do you know if this interface can support having a DAW opened and at the same time playing a video trought Google Chrome? I Guess it's called "Multi-Client"
@@reubenchng Hi! I just got one of these and while it gives clean audio through my software (Guitar rig), it gives me terrible audio when just listening to things like youtube. I know it isn't the product it's something I must troubleshoot - but am running out of ideas. Any suggestions? :)

Hello! I just bought it and I would like to have it connected to monitors and when I go to record deactivate them when I connect the headphones. The problem is that both outputs sound at the same time. That is normal? or can it be solved? I mean the headphones and monitors are playing at the same time and it is not possible to separate the signal.. I want to record voices and if I want to have a reference with the headphones, I don't think that it should be necessary to manually disconnect the cables from the monitors or lower the volume manually, I should separate them directly as other cards do
This gave me goosebumps imagining how the vocals will sound with effects omg
I just bought it, i heard its very good.

No, not directly like that. You'll need a pre-amp before you run it into input 2.

@@vivekayush Plug the dynamic mic in the mic input, as shown in the video. No need to turn on phantom power, thats only for condenser mics.

What is air mod, its better for voiceover or podcast? Which is better with air or without air mode for podcast?
The difference between the air mode and without air mode it's gonna be different with the mic you're using right? Air mode sounded really good
It's gonna boost the high frequencies regardless but it will sound better with different mics.
Does Scarlett Solo have the same preamps / sound than 2i2?

What is the software your using for recording in lap

it's actually only usb 2 speed in a usb-c shape, not usb 3 speed
