I so appreciate how authentic you remain. I can imagine the pressure to “create” for the sake of posting something new…. But it always leads to a compromise, and eventually veering away from the true meaning of your channel. I refuse to watch so many others on this platform for that very reason. You have a great style, and you are a breath of fresh air to watch!
Love your colour sense, Shaunna, and love the retro, warm feel of the kitchen, that hasn't tipped over into kitsch. The narcissus painting is the icing on the kitchen cake.
thanks janel, I did feel like it could have gone there at one point and tried to bring it back with more organic touches. nice to see it was observed :)
An artist’s home if I’ve ever seen one-beautiful! We have similar style and approaches to our homes (I’m also an artist), which makes me realize how labor-intensive it must be to record and edit all of the tinkering, creating, and arranging. Thank you for taking time and energy to share your interior world with us! It’s inspiring.
i really love your channel, you put so much thought into every small detail and it's really inspiring!! most other interior design channels i found eventually slipped into consumerism and just focus on buying things- where to buy things- what to buy (even if vintage), but your channel is completely about design and styling things which i love! i feel like, even if someone gave you a trashbag, you could style it so well that it'd look like it was pulled straight out of an AD issue
I just stumbled upon this video and I absolutely adore your style. I'm an artist on the side and I would love to make something unique (and affordable) for you! I create cut paper art and my main subjects are food/drinks. A piece with your color palette would be so cool!
I absolutely love you and adore you. I break things all the time or buy broken things not realizing that they’re already broken. I’m glad you have meltdowns because I do too. You’re not alone. Have a great day.
Delighted that the algorithm introduced me to your channel today, Shaunna! 😀 Thank you bunches from your newest subscriber in Minneapolis, Minnesota! We are in the ninth year of an extensive remodeling project of our 1924 Storybook-style cottage (that project was only supposed to be 18 months at most) & so I am happy to find you & see/hear of your beautifully nuanced design adventures. Although I weary of living amidst construction, I have come to embrace the gradual, organic process of creating a cozy & artful home. Your video brings cheer & hope to my heart! Thank you so much!! 🙏🌿💐🌿😊💚😘🌿💐🌿🙏
Hi Sarah! lovely to hear from you and your adventures! haha I relate to feeling like life is always 6 steps ahead of you, atleast we can find the beauty amongst it all :)
Love these touches for your kitchen. So beautiful and I love the thrift ethos you embody. Life shouldn’t be focused on consumerism and newness, and you show how we can honour the past and keep it alive. Also great to see your art! And I have a huge crush on your green kitchen drawers.
Instantly subscribed 😊 I really love the way you work with color in your spaces and in your art. Also a huge fan of small changes making big impact. So well done!
I absolutely love your painting, thank you for sharing some of the process, it was riveting. I also drop things all of the time. When I was a child my grandmother used to say that I had 'dropsy' which I know is an old fashioned word for edema (which I don't have,) she was just teasing me with the term as I dropped things all of the time. I still do at age 66. Your decorating is so lovely and thoughtful. Thank you, Laurie
I love your print and would absolutely be interested if you make some. This is the perfect design channel - you're such a thoughtful, innovative creator.
I'm part of the breakage sisterhood. 😂 I'm excited to subscribe because I too have an old-school rental (1940s we think) in Australia. You have inspired me.
❤this kitchen is unbelievably gorgeous! You did such an amazing job and now I want a lavender/ periwinkle kitchen for myself! 😊 I am finishing remodeling my guest/ main floor bath and my kitchen will be next, so your video has absolutely captured my imagination. I also love the wooden flower fruit bowl you found and your picture molding and the way you repainted and reused frames for your own beautiful art. So dreamy! Can’t wait to see your next project!
I’m so glad I found your channel! I am also a breakage-prone lover of vintage items. I love the matting you made with watercolor and I hope you don’t mind if I steal that idea!
Hello I just discovered your channel and subscribed but I have a suggestion. It would have been awesome if you had spent much more time slowly panning the entire kitchen so we could really take it all in by video. That part was SOO short! Looking forward to future videos. Love your artwork.
Shawna, I relly love your channel. The unique mix of creativity and hodge-podge make it work additude is inspiring. I'm looking forward to your next video, whenever it may come (=^ェ^=)
The moment you talked about breaking stuff while balancing a glass on your palm was the moment I subscribed to your channel.
haha I noticed that when editing too 😅
I am obsessed with how many things that broke after you talked about it!!! Also a print of that painting would be absolutely lovely!!
haha I swear I try to be careful but it seems to make no difference ! fantastic, I will update in my next video about the prints

One of my favorite artists is “Leigh Ellexson” her art prints are so beautiful. Also your style is so so beautiful!💖💖
your daffodil painting is wonderful! And watching you paint calmed me down after all the broken glass stress.

Everything came together very nicely!

Where did you end up finding that wall shelf? So much better than the options I'm finding
