I loved the Dark ages trailer music!
The trailer music was awesome!
Had to grab my guitar and play that riff myself lol.
Can't wait to hear more from the soundtrack.
I cant say the trailer music was bad. But it was far from awesome compared to Eternal's music.
Ngl, i was a little scared due to the fact that there was no mick gordon but once i found out about Andrew hulshult being the guy who did 2018 dusck i know everythings going to be fine rip and tear mate, rip and tear
Andrew just confirmed he isnt the composer
I can't find a single source that Andrew is actually the new composer. The best I've found is Reddit posts along the lines of "It sounds like him, so it must be him!".

Sounds more like classic doom. I like it.
I like both. I really like David Levy's too. I hope he helps to capture Mick Gordans style in this though. Obviously I want him to do his own thing. But, Mick helped to define this new Doom sound and make it something unique.
Sound nice too, but I will miss Mick... He knew how to create perfect riff/mix for 2016 game :)
Looking back, I think Andrew might be better for the art direction for Dark Ages anyways. Mick seems more power fantasy like Doom Eternal
It’s confirmed by Andrew he won’t be doing the music, he is scheduled with other contracts at the moment as well, whoever made the trailer music has a talent and I’m hoping that theme will be there when the dark ages comes
Time to takedown this video. Andrew has confirmed on Twitter that he is not working in the new Doom game.
Andrew is a fantastic technical musician. He's just not terribly creative. Dark Ages will suffer but it's a fitting title for where the series ended up and gaming in general.

Exactly like myself: At full price I couldn't buy DOOM Eternal when Mick Gordon was shamefully defamed with the approval of the idBoys (fanboys of id Software) I vouched to only buy DOOM Eternal 75% discounted, and that's exactly what I did and even better: I only bought the Standard Edition!

@@QCPro Where? I just checked and there's nothing about it. He retweeted the trailer without any statement and that's the only thing related to The Dark Ages I could find
@@p_a873Ask yourself why he retweeted. I don't know what their contract says, but he is the one doing music for DOOM: The Dark Ages, as he did for DOOM: Eternal DLC after Mick parted ways with id.
I found the trailer music for DOOM: The Dark Ages mediocre, and it pains me to know Andrew Hulshult is the one behind it, and if the rest of his score is at that level, the OST will Suck. Perhaps Andrew Hulshult has lost his edge, and *David Levy* should have had this opportunity instead... I hope Marty Stratton didn't harass Andrew Hulshult as much as he did with Mick Gordon.

its just regular metal, it's far far away too far from Mick sounddesign and approach, dark age of doom it's when gamedev became moneymarketingmakers instead of doing great games for gamers, bad management and capitalism ruin contracts with great artists, now they trying compensate their lost by replacing Mick, and it's sounds so cheap, it's like exchange 15pro to poco f5
