One year Update: Still using this method. Haven't bought ogi since I discovered your video. Thank you! I used ur method to make this combo ogi....although I couldn't find red sorghum. I made do with white sorghum. I was half-afraid the daily washing would hinder full fermentation but I'm happy to report my fears were unfounded. The ogi came out superb! Now my family want it for breakfast everyday! Save me! 😎😎😎😎😎 Thank you so very much for sharing your knowledge with us! You are much appreciated.
Wow! Great work you put in here, the processing is quite complex. Does this also have the tart/sour taste of the famous corn pap.? I actually tried that one few days back and mine didn't come out with that taste, I followed these your steps religiously but just with yellow corn alone. I didn't get that pap taste, it was more like 'agidi' taste. Just plain. Any remedy?
@@Philtabit49 oh that's nice to know. The juice is it before grinding the corn. Or after grinding the corn or when you have finished the whole process. My question is at what point exactly do you add the lemon or lime juice. Thanks
@@adaezeezeh8508 After you have finished the whole process i.e. when you want to prepare the pap for breakfast. After you've added the hot water and it's become pap, simply add the lemon or lime juice. Mix well, then add your sweetener. Enjoy. If it's for babies, I add butter or coconut oil because little brains need the saturated fat and it elevates the taste to another level.

Thank you very much. The corn is normally mor than the others. But you can make to your preference
What could you use the chaff of it for?
What milk can I get for my 6-month bby so he can take with the pap pls
Can a 7 month baby take it because of the ginger
Yes of course. Ginger is a natural spice, so you can add a little.
Ginger stimulates digestion i.e. it helps food to be properly digested. Baby's body will appreciate it.
thank u. I m Sure going to try it
Can I try this for my 3month plus baby
It is always best to start solids for babies from at least 4 months if they are ready but not before. The recommended age is actually 6 months.
OK thanks somuch

Adaeze, I guess it should if you allowed it to soak for up to 3 days.
Add the juice of half a lemon or lime. It'll taste sour like ogi. I've done it and it works.

@@Zokiknot For full fermentation. Grains need to be fermented to be easily digestible by human beings. Read the book "Nourishing Traditions"
