Do you have a bunch of old photographs you don’t know what to do with? When I inherited the family photo albums and all the pictures, family tree information, and paraphernalia after my grandparents passed, I felt an overwhelming desire to preserve it all.
Ever the optimist, I thought I could easily scan every picture myself but I forgot to factor in the time!! I’ve had these items for YEARS. When we decided to move to Germany and the thought of putting these precious items in a container to ship across the Atlantic for two months approached, I panicked!
I asked the masses here and someone recommended @photoarchivers based out of Maryland. When I tell you I JUMPED on the opportunity! I set up a meeting with the owner, Rachel, and she graciously walked me through the process.
I shipped everything I had via UPS. Everything arrived in good condition and Rachel and her team got to work! They carefully handled all my items (gloved treatment!) and within two weeks I had everything shipped back to me and organized! It was the greatest gift!
I forever have these pictures to hold and the copies are beautifully preserved digitally just as I always had hoped! Making it easy for me to share with family across the ocean!
