Theres way too many. I have over 100 unique worldwide releases from BT and love everything this modern day master has ever created. Been a massive fan since 2001 when I was 16, and been collecting his work since 2003. I finally met him this past June on tour with All Hail The Silence, and I have to admit that Christian Burns is my favorite vocalist paired with BT. Paralyzed has always meant a lot to me because I was paralyzed in a hit and run accident in 2008, but before that This Binary Universe, Giving Up The Ghost, Godspeed, The Emergency, Suddenly, and Loving You More, and of course Flaming June have always been some of my favorites! He new album is incredible as always and been dream fuel for me every night since it was released a few weeks ago!
My personal favorite is "Always." Flaming June is legendary and is IMO right there at #1 with Always. Exceptional remixes by Andy Moor & Funkagenda! Check them out of you have not heard them.....👍
I didn't like one BT album and gave it to my sister... she told me it's brilliant. So I just hope BT you keep doing whatever you want, it's probably genius anyway, even if I don't always comprehend it. :)
I was so pissed when i saw one day a comment bellow one of the BT yt videos from this younger generation noobs - "wow this guy is like Skrillex", wtf. Some people need a good slap 😅
It's only for the old school big dogs who find their way here, only we can appreciate what he is talking about and especially if you have produced yourself.
Can’t stress enough how important BTs sound was for that genre of clubbing in the mid nineties, his mix of Graces It’s Not Over , is still one of the most beautiful tunes ever in my opinion
I got to interview BT back in 97 before he really got big before a rave he was performing at , dude was so humble down to earth and cool just like this interview video. They don't make 'em like this anymore, 100%
muzikxpress yeah I was just running a Saturday night techno mix show on college radio and he agreed to meet with us, I have it on cassette somewhere. Your series is awesome, I’m new so I haven’t listened to everything but you should consider tracking down Gerald Becker aka Virtual Symmetry from Eye Q , get Sven Vaeth and Ralf Hildenbeutel to talk about Harthouse and Eye Q and Maik Maurice from Resistance D and co author of the first Frankfurt trance album done alongside Pete Namlook of Fax! I just subbed your channel is dope dude! Peace
Senator Wax Davis thank you! And I can only do interviews with people that live close to me or people that are here for gigs or so. Unfortunately I have no travel budget for these vlogs, so I can’t really travel far. But.... I have a lot of stuff coming up and I’m also talking to some really cool names for new interviews that I will record in 2020. Thanks for subscribing!!!
I met him once after seeing him do a live show back in 2000 I think. I brought my MISL vinyl album with me and was lucky to get a chance to talk with him and he signed my record. Extremely nice guy and very humble. He even asked me some questions about myself which was unexpected.
keith wozniak haha yeah! I would absolutely love to do another interview with him in the near future about another classic if he’s up for it! What a legend!
How could there have been NO audience for this track and music in his country!? BT thank you for carving your own path bro, it’s been a great ride since this piece! Record stores, yyeeehh
back then stuff like limp bizkit (nu-metal) and mariah carey pop/rap hybrid songs were popular. trance never was a thing in MOST places. at most, people were familiar with cheesy electronic songs like darude - sandstorm and Ian Van Dahl - Castles In The Sky
Flaming June is probably one of my most favourite pieces of music of all time.. and I cannot believe it was recorded in my hometown of Manchester! Unbelievable!
BT was one of the first tance artists I was into and it was all thanks to the Digital Empire compilation which had Flaming June. Being a late 90s raver I consumed alot of X and this track (along with just about anything from BT) could almost bring me to tears. But after the build up and the beat drops back in you instantly get so hyped you can't help but dance. I saw him twice and to hear this, Remember and Blue Skies live is AMAZING and BT would get SO energetic while hammering away on the synths that those shows will never be forgotten. I also got to see him play a remix of Smells like Teen Spirit which was bad ass. When you sit in the dark and really open your ears and your mind to absorb just how much is truly happening in his compositions. There is NO other electronic producer that can match him on the technical side of production. Try to name a song that is as memorable as Flaming June, Mercury & Solace or Godspeed that is also as complex yet flawless...I'll wait. And lets not forget his more funky tracks like Love Peace & Grease or NEver Gonna Come Back Down.
Same here. I first heard of BT on that Digital Empire compilation in the late 90s with Flaming June. I credit that track for introducing me to trance, which is still my favorite genre.
I found BT at a time of my life where I was looking for music to help ease the depression I was suffering. I fell in love with "Flaming June" instantly. It's part of my life and I listen to it almost everyday. Thank you BT! From a fan in Australia ❤️❤️❤️❤️
I 100% agree with the comment about how timeless the track is. I was 1 year old when this track came out, i first heard it in 2015 and i thought wow, this is literally better than any trance release i have heard since i started listening in 2009.
‘Dreaming’ was amazing. Vocal trance juxtaposed with breakbeats and early ‘breaktweak’ effects, acidic bass lines, lovely orchestral elements like the strings section - it had a bit of everything. I think I recall Brian saying this was recorded in the Mac OS9 and probably Cubase days. The mind boggles at how he did something so amazing with the tech at the time. Total nostalgia for me, yet it still maintains a sound of an optimistic future... Love it
What an amazing song. Even till this day i still listen to this. I remember listeing to this during my high school years. Brings back so much good memories.
I remember him playing in the afternoon at Tribal Gathering 1996 or 7 and the sheer glee on his face to be there was wonderful. What an event that was.
BT is one of the most musically gifted human artists in existence today. Especially if you listen to This Binary Universe and These Hopeful Machines, you will know how much it is.
BT is also one of my first artist I found in the Pre internet era. I was here in the United States without peers like him. That’s why I named myself Trancextend during Yahoo chats. And my goal was to extend my love for this new music that was making waves in Europe. Yet at home there was the typical American music.Thank Twan and BT for your video. Huge studio bro!! Wow.
You can feel how this man love what he is doing, hearing it talk about all of his projects and talk passionately about each one is just freaking amazing... what a such inspirational man... I just love this man he is amazing... thank for the interview was great as always!
When people say the words iconic and classic Flaming June immediately springs to mind, it still raises the hair on my neck ..... a lot of emotion for me in the dance scene back in the day
My God that an absolutely insane list of synth put into making Flaming June and it shows. It's literally like an electronic/Trance synonym of a classical piece of music. It's so rich in sound and texture, so brilliantly balanced where the various sound complement each other. No matter where I go with what kind of device for listening music Flaming June is ALWAYS there in the ultimate favorite list, I could literally turn on my every phone/mp3 player since last 15 years and there would be Flaming June on it. Thank You Brian for your wonderful music, thank You Twan for this episode, thank You black cab driver in England in june 1997 for the title!
Love BT's music so much. Flaming June is one of my most favorite song. I can't count how many times I've been listening this masterpiece for these years.
I don't really follow anything BT has done since 2003. But everything he did between 1995-2003 and hearing it during those years was very special. He has created a great world for him now, and I like how he can clearly remember all that detail from those times and how great it still is.
Kids, stay in school, and keep your heads in those books, this guy started out as a nerd for music with very few friends, and now he has become a legend in my book, the love for learning is how legends are born, props BT.
Flaming June will always be linked to my Husky Achilles and I. As it was the first song he heard at my home and sadly but joyously Godspeed was what I played when I brought his ashes home
BT has been a musical inspiration and influence for me for two decades. He's contributed so much to electronic music and paved way for so many other artists out there. I remember calling in to request Flaming June to play on our university's local radio station one time, and my friends were in awe when they heard it for the first time. Interesting to hear how some of my favorite classics come about. I hope we get to hear those demo versions of Flaming June someday; also curious on what video game that is he's composing for. I know he had done the soundtrack for Tiger Woods PGA Tour 2005. Thanks for these great interviews, Twan. Now let's interview that black cab driver in England that gave the track title! 😄
Great and timeless song from BT! It just has a wonderful and unique feel to it! Words can't describe it! I'm 40 now and I listen to this song with just as much pleasure as I did back in the day and will continue to do so until the end of my life! He created something amazing for the world and I wish him the best!
I am a long time fan of Brians incredible music! He's an incredible pianist [Suzuki Method], an amazing producer, and composer! I love this dude! God bless you BT!
Twon, I closed for BT in the late 1990s in Buffalo, NY, USA. Before I went on, I got to interview (I still have it on mini-cassette and need to transfer it) him and just generally hang out. It was around the time Flaming June came out. Anyway, after the show he invited friend and I on his tour bus and gave us what were supposed to be a 'few beers'. My friend not being very gentlemanly, proceeded to drink ALL of the booze he had on his tourbus and it resulted in BT kicking us OFF his tour bus! Haha. Anyway, I've bumped into him a few times since and he remembers that time well. We always chuckle at 'That time in Buffalo'. I'll never forget just how passionate he was about music and technology as well. He comes across as arrogant in interviews, but I could see it was just him truly expressing love for the craft and his peers that inspired him. Years later I handed him one of my own productions and after bumping into him a year after that, I asked him what he thought. He completely started flipping out about a certain sample I'd used from Tears For Fears and how I managed to make it the way I did. It was a huge compliment because that technique was a direct lift from what BT used to do with editing breakbeats. There's very few times I've been in total awe from one of my production heroes, but that was the ultimate compliment to a person who could barely string two notes together (me)!
Really interesting to hear from BT. One of my favourite producers of all time. Great to see how humble and grateful he is for how wel his records are received and you can just feel the passion for what he does just oozing out of him. Great interview.
I loved hearing him talk so passionate about everything, big fan of his work, I have most of his work on CD / vinyl. What a legend! So I think you can imagine how happy I was when he said "yes" to my interview request :)
By far one of the best trance tunes made from late 90’s/early 2000’s and brings back so many great memories of playing it out in the clubs. Still sounds timeless today
It’s the one, to this day the one tune that’s perfect. Great memories, I was always excited and impatient to drop it.. Happy days, #oz #warehouse #Plymouth.
Since its release “Ima” has been in constant rotation on every playback device I’ve owned. It’s in my top three “if I were stranded on a deserted island and could only have three albums to listen to….”. Amazing amazing work.
Absolute legend. Back when you had to use a physical room full of gear 😂 glad I was there, including having met BT a few times in the 90’s, but I don’t miss those days at all 🤙🏽😎🖤🕺
BT talks about how Flaming June speaks to people who weren't even alive yet. I was born in 98 after this came out and this is my favorite trance song of all time. I am also from the US so even though it's gotten better, it sucks not growing up with the classic trance scene because of my age and my location. I am a big fan of Tori Amos too and love some of the remixes of Blue Skies so it was cool he worked with her when she is not really known for doing dance music
To accomplish something this magnificent during the pre internet era shows pure talent. BT is a great personality. Thanks Twan. This interview is very inspirational👍🏼
Release the planet 4 version please. One of the best to ever do it. Changed what i thought electronic music could be. So many great compositions. Rare and remixed is a masterpiece.... Many great nights to your work
@@muzikxpress exactly.. Another one like this for me is Legend B lost in love.. Same beautiful vibe.. I remember thr days when listening good music on walkman and cheap headphones :)
Such a down to earth person. His personality is also in his music and that's why people love it so much. Again a great interview as always. Keep it up.
I have listened to his tracks and mixed them not knowing how awesome this guy really is, such a humble yet passionate person.! Thank you for this wonderful interview, I still play this track in my car In Australia today remembering the great times of the early 2000s and going to clubs and festivals back in the UK. Top track and top bloke!
This has always been one of my favourite tunes. The Perfecto Fluoro triple CD album I bought back in the 90's had this on it and many other of my favourite tunes. I need to find that orchestral version right now. I also didn't realise I'd missed so much of his music. Those ambient albums sound very appealing.
Incredibly captivating interview Twan. Brian was so candid. Flaming June is 1 of my GOAT's for sure. I'm also going to make a case for Loving You More. That is another masterpiece if listened to properly. Force of Gravity & Skylarking are both still on my playlist too. Brian is a nothing short of a legend in our industry. Love how incredibly humble he is too.
Thank you very much! It was so interesting for me as well to hear all his stories! I was very surprised to find out that he still remember everything so well. Also one of my own personal favorite interviews!
Thanks so much! And BT told me a while ago on Twitter he would love to do another interview next time he's in The Netherlands (where I am based). Unfortunately I don't see any gigs etc planned for him so far. There's at least 3 or 4 tracks I would love to talk about with him. Fingers crossed!
Why don't we see his music being remixed and played by the old skool underground djs these days?? The 90s was amazing for him..he was a god! Sasha was all over him. Global Underground was all over him. Flaming June, remember, mercury and solace, fibonnaci sequence, dreaming, Godspeed are some of the most amazing tracks (remixed tracks) ever made! I miss 90s BT!!!
LEGEND! Movement in still life changed my life. Top 5 best electronic music producers FOR SURE! Been a fan since 99' Weather it's his trance, progrssive, breaks, ambient or pop productions. I can not describe in words how much respect i have for his music. The guy is and always has been years ahead of the game. What an absolute fantastic musician. LOVE YOU BT !!!!!!!!!

I loved hearing him talk so passionate about everything, big fan of his work, I have most of his work on CD / vinyl. What a legend! So I think you can imagine how happy I was when he said "yes" to my interview request :)
@@muzikxpress wow can't imagine interviewing a hero about the music you've listen to for decades. Amazing . What a job you have!!
Samsx Plus haha it’s not my job, this channel is a hobby for me, so I do all of this on my spare time hehe 😉
BT is such a dude. An he makes absolute face melting bangers. Thanks Brian for helping to make my 9ps so special.
Flaming June is polished perfection. It was THE track that got me into trance and, still to this day, is cutting edge sound that takes you to euphoria
It’s so good after all these years! 🙏🏻
Since its release “Ima” has been in constant rotation on every playback device I’ve owned. It’s in my top three “if I were stranded on a deserted island and could only have three albums to listen to….”. Amazing amazing work.
He's amazing isn't he? All his older stuff still sounds so fresh, love his work!
What a cool humble guy - flaming June to this day is one of the best melodies
One of the tracks that takes a special place in my heart, thanks Brian!
Absolute legend. Back when you had to use a physical room full of gear 😂 glad I was there, including having met BT a few times in the 90’s, but I don’t miss those days at all 🤙🏽😎🖤🕺
Mercury and Solace was magical when that hit. Everyone was playing it and it was perfectly placed in GU Ibiza.
Oh sh*t I was thinking about this song just now and then I saw this video coming. Talk about coincidence
One of the greatest records of all time
Thanks for this interview 🙏
BT talks about how Flaming June speaks to people who weren't even alive yet. I was born in 98 after this came out and this is my favorite trance song of all time. I am also from the US so even though it's gotten better, it sucks not growing up with the classic trance scene because of my age and my location. I am a big fan of Tori Amos too and love some of the remixes of Blue Skies so it was cool he worked with her when she is not really known for doing dance music
cannot wait! Flaming June is one of personal favorites of all time
To accomplish something this magnificent during the pre internet era shows pure talent. BT is a great personality. Thanks Twan. This interview is very inspirational👍🏼
Thank you Jon! Glad you enjoyed the interview!
love that song, he should release what he recorded in the studio!! Love the quick echoy part
Hearing this at Cream Amnesia a few years ago when Paul van Dyk dropped it is right up there...what a tune!
Speaking of BT... 1.168 is a musical masterpiece. Chills all day
I've always loved Flaming June. The Chicane remix has always had a special place in my heart, too.
Release the planet 4 version please. One of the best to ever do it. Changed what i thought electronic music could be. So many great compositions. Rare and remixed is a masterpiece.... Many great nights to your work
YES YES YES Please release the full version. To have this track in its entire glory and have it up to modern recording standards would be amazing.
Thank you mister BT for giving the world what is arguably the greatest trance tune of all time.
Amazing! BT is such a humble guy.
Flaming june... One of the most unique pieces created... One of my musical inspiration
I love that over 20 years later this track still sounds so fresh, what a beauty!
Keep it up.
Thanks so much!!
5:50 OMG please, please, please release that full original version of Flaming June. I think so many people would LOVE to hear it :)
MyStiCstudios777 Yes, I agree!!!
Woohoo...at last,BT is here😍🙌😇🕺🕺🕺😁Thank You BT sir and Muzikxpress...You're just Fantastic
flaming june is one of my favorite tunes of all time
One of the greatest trance tunes ever. The song that started it all for me and the song that'll be played when I depart this earth ❤️❤️🌎
He sounds so gentle
Proper Ibiza classic! Trance classic that will still be played in years to come full on belter 🙌
Thanks Scott, glad you enjoyed the interview!!
Yo BT, this song is in regular rotation in my writing playlist. Thanks for the inspiration!
Flaming June is amazing! I've been listening to flaming June over 10yrs and bt is definitely a genius.
So good right? Still after all those years this one still sounds fresh!
Great Interview, I loved BT Flaming June, in Clubland 97
Incredibly captivating interview Twan. Brian was so candid. Flaming June is 1 of my GOAT's for sure. I'm also going to make a case for Loving You More. That is another masterpiece if listened to properly. Force of Gravity & Skylarking are both still on my playlist too. Brian is a nothing short of a legend in our industry. Love how incredibly humble he is too.
Leonardo 45 thank you!!
Legendary! Genius! Versatile! One of my favourite people out there
Thank you very much Angélica!!
Flaming June - one of my all time favourite trance tracks
Good choice 😉
Great interview! One of the most interesting I’ve watched on this channel, I’m surprised it doesn’t have more views. He is a great communicator
Thank you very much! It was so interesting for me as well to hear all his stories! I was very surprised to find out that he still remember everything so well. Also one of my own personal favorite interviews!
Really makes me cherish my FJ12" even more! Thanks Bri!!
...and of course, MuzikExpress for bringing the video 🙏🏽
BT's 1995 essential mix got me into underground dance music #bow 👌🏽👌🏽
Great interview. Please update us with a new BT interview about "Mercury and Solace!"
Giving up the ghost is another one of his from back then but that went a bit under the radar since it was never a single. Absolute belter of a track.
@@willy3toes thanks for the tip, cant believe i missed this one. top track
Happy happy joy joy Birthday Brian!!
Imagine having this melody in your head for weeks....
typically when I have a melody in my head for a long time, it's from another song
Genius, thank you for the class tunage BT.
Great interview, such an intriguing man.
God I love BT soooooo much
BT is a legend, love his stories! I would love to sit down with him again for another interview. He did soooo many great tracks and his stories are awesome :) Hope you enjoyed the interview!
@@muzikxpress Thanks for this interview, i enjoyed it alot! (Bedankt, volgens mij hoor ik een Nederlands accent bij jou) BT is just a genius and i don't have enough words to express my gratitude for his music and what he did for electronic music. You should definitely try to get another interview with him, that would be great! Groetjes
@@marcussebastian1437 haha ja ik kom uit NL idd! Een BT interview stond al een lange tijd op mijn wish list, helaas is hij niet zo vaak in het land. Dus ben nog steeds super blij met dit interview, wat een held!
