Very nice and easy to understand video! I started with Wemo (junk) several years ago. That didn't last long and switched to Philips Hue. 2 hubs went bad within the first year so I then switched to TP-Link Kasa and couldn't be happier. Price, color and responsiveness are are all without issue. I now have 40+ Kasa devices including bulbs, switches and outlets.
This is a great review! I like how you compared the bulbs in a split screen. It is interesting to see the comparison especially given the appealing price point! Keep up the great work!
Out of all the smart lights I have the Kasa lights are my favorite. They are easier to setup than the other smart lights. My other smart lights go offline too sometimes. I try to use my Lifx bulb and it says it's offline sometimes. But my Kasa bulbs never go offline. They always work. I like being able to turn on my porch light while I'm doing my grocery shopping. And being able to dim my lights when I go to sleep. No more walking across a dark room and tripping on things to find a light switch. Or being blinded by a lamp on my night stand.
Asking the same question as some others... can this bulb cycle through various colours? There are conflicting responses everywhere online. The first 5 seconds of this video clearly demonstrate a cycling effect. Looking for a more user-friendly option to the govee product/app. Plus, I've had really good experiences with Kasa's other products.
Thank you for this excellent review especially the part about power outages. I just ordered a KL-125 from Amazon. I would like very much to see a comparison between this and the new Wyze color bulbs.
you probably dont give a shit but if you guys are bored like me during the covid times you can stream all the new movies and series on instaflixxer. I've been binge watching with my brother for the last few months =)
Looking into getting into smart lighting. Looking at the KL135 model, can KASA lights sync up as i was thinking about using 3 bulbs in a ceiling fixture?
Great coverage of the TPLinkKasa bulb Karlo! I actually use the HS-300 throughout my house for the sense integration! It’s been solid product and definitely worth the $. 100% gold advice. Your ISP’s wifi router IS garbage!
Good question, after doing so much research, Philips hue is simply the only smart lights/system that works best and has everything needed. It ticks every single box except for the price of them
Guests do tend to make smart homes a bit tricky. Typically I will have a smart button that can control these devices, so they don’t need to learn any voice commands etc. there’s no specific guest mode though
I just purchased this light and I have worked to try and connect it for two hours and nothing. My WI-FI is excellent and I even checked with my provider to make sure I was set up to connect this smart device. I even tired connecting using my IPhone and Pixel. All in all, I am highly disappointed and will be returning tomorrow.
Beware of TP-Link products. If the product fails within the warranty period you will be required to pay for shipping the defective item to them before they will send a replacement.
i have had one of the tplink kasa lights for about 6 years now and in several different houses and they are still going strong great review

Thanks Brad! I was really pleasantly surprised at how good the colors were on this light. For only $15 it’s going to be hard to beat
I think I might get these - thanks for the solid review!
Thanks! Hope you enjoy them

I like the Kasa products. They work well.
They’re great I’ve had good experiences with them
Had Lifx bulbs they suck, just ordered these bulbs to replace them since they no longer work. I'm excited
The video helped me to get the light working, good job. No mention of sharing with other household users.
Seems a solid entry smart bulb for a lot of folk out there! Good job!
Thanks! Yeah I think for the price it's a really solid option, and anyone starting their smart home would really enjoy it
Good Stuff TT&MT! Keep it up
Thanks!
Thanks for the review. I hope they will be available in Europe soon! Already very satisfied with the white Kasa light bulbs and wifi plugs! 🙌
I hope so too! I think people will be very satisfied with them

@Brendan Alijah definitely, I've been using InstaFlixxer for since november myself :)

can it cycle threw colors like rainbow RGB

Thanks Chris! Glad to hear you’ve also had good experiences with them
Hey bro, great review, with this smart bulb can we cycle the colors? According to the music for example
Thanks Luis. You can have it cycle through different colors based on various scenes (in the Kasa app) but it can’t sync to music or video
@@TechTechMoreTech I have these bulbs but can't figure out how to do this. I can only set a color for each bulb. Any advice?

Great video. Thanks! Just curious, what gen was that Hue bulb? The green looked more like a gen two bulb.
who here was paying more attention to the milka chocolate than everything else starting at 3:10
Good eye ;)
Q: does it need internet, or just wifi?
You showed color cycling at the beginning, but it DOES NOT HAVE THIS FEATURE!?
Hello! Could you tell me if this kasa supports 240v?
Would you be able to control it remotely or do you have to be on the same wifi network to control the light
Can it cycle through colours?
Had to return them . 2 out of 4 malfunctioned within 7 days of installing.
Nice review. What happens if the bulb is on or off and the wifi goes down? Can you turn it off or on manually?
Yes, just flick the switch like with a normal bulb
If you have guests staying at your place, is there a way for them to control the lights with a guest mode or something?
Guests do tend to make smart homes a bit tricky.
Typically I will have a smart button that can control these devices, so they don’t need to learn any voice commands etc.
there’s no specific guest mode though
Do you know if this can be voice controlled through Siri?
Not natively. Needs to be done through homebridge
Thanks.
Is KASA the same as TUYA? I am looking to replace my tuya smart plug. It is unreliable. I want to make sure I am buying something different.
They are different
Just one question if you have these in a normal light fitting do u need to switch the light switch on and leave it on or does it not need power switch
Great review! I’ll buy this bulb
Great review! Thanks!
If you have multiple bulbs in one room can you control them as a group?
Yep!
I giggled at Amazon Alex haha
This looks like a really good smart bulb, but I'm at pains to work out why it is so expensive.
does anyone know if you can save colors on this model outside of the presets?
They are a little difficult to connect for me
Looks like a good light, nice review 😃
Thanks!
I recently changed router and can't get my bulbs reconnected. The bulbs blink but I can't find the to link wifi? Any suggestions?
Did you keep the same name WiFi name and password?
You may have to factory reset the lights
@@TechTechMoreTech thanks. I kept the same name but Capitalization was different. Got it now. Thanks!

Because you don't need a separate hub, yes, it's better.
Beware of TP-Link products. If the product fails within the warranty period you will be required to pay for shipping the defective item to them before they will send a replacement.
did he just say amazon alex, who is alex
I say Alex instead of Alexa so it doesn’t trigger viewers Amazon devices
How bout that text message...
Amazon “Alex” lol. Good review though.
I’m not gonna pay $100 a year to be able to use my fucking lightbulbs it’s ridiculous in there app
Tp-link Kasa multicolor = garbage
