Hi @michellesharp3369! Thanks for watching and for your kind words. If you're coming through the M8 motorway, be sure to check out this video: ua-cam.com/video/dhg7KPcpsU8/v-deo.htmlsi=YjBmW800t6CTvuom . If you're taking the non-motorway route and live in Renfrew, you can follow the route in this video. We have more videos about Glasgow Airport on our channel, so feel free to explore them. Don't forget to like and share with your friends and family. Thanks again!
On my next trip to the airport, I'll take this route and leave the M8 at the Renfrew turn off. I don't like driving over the Whitecart viaduct as there is no hard shoulder and the on ramps there are very short which increases the chances of a collision. Thanks.
Sorry for the late reply! Your message ended up in the spam folder. 🙏 I'm glad you found the route helpful! The Renfrew turn off is a great alternative if you prefer avoiding the Whitecart viaduct. Stay safe on your trip, and kindly share your experience with others once you've tried the route. Thank you for watching! 😊
@brucebell1809 Thanks for your question! As of our last visit, the low emission zone didn’t apply to Glasgow Airport, but I recommend checking for the latest updates. Typically, the low emission zone mainly affects the city center and surrounding areas. Safe travels! 🚗✨
@@HZFamilyShowOfficial Aye...as you mentioned it's restricted to the city centre. Doesn't include the M8/M74. My journeys were for an airport drop off then pickup from/to Carlisle via M74. Be aware, road maintenance may occur during early hours within the city with certain motorway sections closed. 😱.
@brucebell1809 Cheers for the heads-up! 🚗 I appreciate the info about the road maintenance and restrictions. If there's maintenance work and you're directed into the low emission zone, I’ve noticed the signboards clearly say it shouldn’t apply to you during that time. Best to keep an eye on the signs, Hope your future journeys go smoothly.😊
This is great and very helpful. I'm there tomorrow picking a friend up 😊
