Deadbaiting is doing very well for me around a depth of 1 meter. My friend and I have caught 13 pike in this weekend alone. Also I hope you will be doing more deadbaiting this winter. Keep up the good work😁!
Great taste in music 🤘 love deadbaiting for pike. Rivers, rezzies, anywhere. It's usual for them to run and not sink float on small rivers. Mackerel, Smelt, sardines are my favourite baits.
Started watching your channel a few month back. I normally fish for barbel and carp but after watching you I went and brought some piking gear last pay day
I am lucky enough to live on a lake and when it turns cold and the boat is out the water (Canada) I like to dead bait from my back yard. I have tried the single hook thing, had many pike hang on fighting all the way back to shore then let go. Now I only use two treble hooks. Great video as always. Stay safe and merry Christmas.
Never had a pike on a deadbait. Just can’t seem to get the ones in my area to take them. Or the Zander pick them up before the pike can get to the (which in that case, I’m not complaining)
Is it me or is lure fishing more fun, tend to get more adrenaline and a good snatch. Only just started luring myself always used bait before and bait seems to be so much more sedate type of fishing...
Please, don't wait to long to set the hook! Because the pike can swallow the hook. If that happens the pike will die. You have to set the hook after 10 seconds.
If he smashed the deadbait and it stayes longer than 3 to 4 seconds underneath the surface, you can set the hook too. Maybe you already knew, but just in case I wanted to tell you this😁. Otherwise the fish will also swallow the hook.
Always much harder during these colder months, I had a session on Sunday ‘lake’ 6 hours one pike on lure and one on deadbait ‘mate’ most important you didn’t blank😉
I’m surprised you lost that first one too, if I left my runs that long I’d be expecting to extract the hooks from its arse. I prefer to set the hooks almost straight away, I work on the theory that if it’s got the bait in it’s mouth then surely it’s got the hooks in there too, sure I drop the odd one but it’s extremely rare that I deep hook one too. And ide rather loose one than kill one..
Killing fish for bait. Deadbaiting is good and i found on rivers if the water is clear dead bream about 5" is best by far, lip hook with a small size 4 micro barb Drennan specimen on 2ft wire trace, You think the hook is too small? see were the fish gets hooked and you will figure it out. No more deep hooked fish. Unhooking is rapid and no hooks in nets. Well for water with colour a Jack herring is fantastic on same rig
Top video as always mate and any recommendations on dead bait rods & reels for beginners pls Dan 👍🎣👌 Dan go check out Blaster Shad you could do top content with that mate 👍

Hope you enjoy all comments from the full on dead bait crew. Nice vid. Not a blank. Good man 👍🏻🤓
Loving the fact you're fishing all my local drains.
Where?
Funny deadbaiting is the only pike fishing I do. I do have lure rods but never seem to catch, ledgering dead smelt though gets me fish.
Love the fact you was rocking to Megadeth that early in the morning great video
I’m not knocking megadeath but not that early man 😂
🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻
Been waiting for a dead baiting video for ages mate!! 5 .minutes in throws a lure out 😉 good video man keep them coming 👌

Thanks for the videos 👍
Merry Christmas mate 🎅
Why is it so easy to weigh fish? Because they have their own scales!
Another great vid DB ,I actually look forward to your uploads 😂😂 top fisherman 💪💪

@Tony Robinson because I am free already.
Love you're vids keep them up
I swear every video is the same: hooks pike, ‘ I don’t even have my net ready yet’

First view like and comment 😉
Theres an award for that

Horses for courses I suppose... at 65y.o. now and with dodgey knees, I prefer static deadbaiting... 🙄😂

@@Phreon149 yeah, that is what I actually mean haha
Have a good Christmas mate 👍, merry crisis and a happy new fear lol
Is that the torne at sandtoft if it is might see you down there some cracking fish in there
Nice could you tell me what hooks you using for your rigs? Single ones
Blanked the last 5 times in a row dead baiting, but iv caught on lures.. Very strange, i used to always dead bait but have had no luck this year.
Im the exact opposite blanked on lures caught on deadbait 😂 same frequency
Great video. Get that wrapping off the cork though please lol
Very cool! Such a big predator in a small creek! 👍
I’ve been using smelts a lot and it’s non stop runs man can’t even get the bobbin on sometimes before the rod starts bouncin
How do u find using circle hooks?
What kinda fish your using to get these big pikes
Good taste in music as well mate🤘
Try the other side of the road bridge down towards the concrete bridge or closer towards the motorway there's some big girls in there
do you prefer deadbait in the winter or lures ?
Always much harder during these colder months, I had a session on Sunday ‘lake’ 6 hours one pike on lure and one on deadbait ‘mate’ most important you didn’t blank😉
Float ?
Hey Dan, would you mind giving and overview of your setup? do you fish your deadbait on the bottom of the water or fixed distance under the floater?
Could you do a tutorial on how to set up a dead bait rig thanks 👍🏻
Nice video, just found your channel, subscribed!🎣
Where are u? We need some content or I’ll go crazy in the house :)
Anyone know where to acc get deadbait from like mackerel idk where to actually get it?
Is it an old vid not using ur new forceps lol
Not a fan of single hooks I still use trebles and take the barb off two and leave one for holding the bait
Where is this and where do you find good pike places?
Yess Im gonne deatbait tomorrow thnx for the tips!!

I leave them a long time also .., I’ve had a few die on me but I never lose any 😉💪
The moment you said the float was just traveling along not going under I thought it was a meter pike. Probably was dude ^^
What was water clarity like Dan? Think I’m off on Tuesday. One bait rod and small lures
@Steve Appy I’m no novice mate. That river doesn’t flood too bad. It’s the water clarity that matters there.
Clear = shit
Coloured = good
How are you catching fish really easy
We fish also à pike with this technic lol thats exellent
You sir have a new sub.
Messing around with the tension on that first fish made yeah loose it hope yeah learnt you lesson
Exactly right!
He’s a metal head 🤟🤟🤟🤟

Carp rods are actually great for Pike fishing ...
Megadeth. Yes
ayyy here early
Megadeth class
Single hooks no good on dead baits my friend . Need barbless trebles or micro barbed , will improve your hook to land ratio
River torne?
More impressed with the Megadeth haha
MEGADETH!!!
I'm shooting a fishing video in Korea
🐟🐟🐟🐟🐟🐟
Good vid but just can’t stand head cams/GoPro’s etc...
❤❤❤❤❤👍👍
Megadeth, hell yeah
Omfg your not using a bait aster
maybe your hook is to small,I think.
👊🤟
That ain’t a river mate that’s a streak
🙌 🇺🇦!!)
Welcome to deadbaiting! where you only land half the pike you strike into!
