I can't believe they got Streeter Piefell on the show. As in... a pie fell in his mouth... and he pretty much loved it.
Cool vest
And at the end of the day you were like “good job”
Aaron Iveson it’s jeans..
The editor in cheese 🧀 himself!
Nice
The way streeter just grimly goes, “Yeah. It was fun for you guys...” God I’d love to read a tell-all about 2007-2013 peak CH and the decline someday.
+
Yeah I've always been really interested in that too. Not just because I'm interested in CollegeHumor specifically, but also because that was such an interesting time of the internet where CH was one of the pioneers of internet comedy shows and it was this new evolving thing. Would love to read about all that stuff one day from someone who was there.
Please
This a 1000x this
@@balls261 good point. It was a bubble in a very insulated point in time that can’t be recreated due to the size and awareness of the internet today. Very unique era.
The “ nice hat, no hat” joke Streeter refers to is from Hardly Working: Step Dad episode. David said to Pat “hey mr. no lunch, no lunch?”
C-Snap was always there when we needed him the most.
Lots of overlap between J&A and Hardly Working, so it makes sense he thought it might have been from J&A. I always thought of Hardly Working as being the Jake and Amir extended universe.
its from the simpsons

I'm glad that the Jake and Amir fandom has ruined multiple guest stars' lives.
I remember middleditch was just blocking people who calling him doobs and tbf I agree with him
@@DendyJungle PENIS did that?
@@DendyJungle It's more he blocked people calling him "Penis" or "Penis Anthony Dubline" in comments when he'd post like a family photo or innocent life photos, and it was pretty inappropriate.

I love the way in these how Jake seems to remember more. I can see that the series really means a lot to him.
Streeter was basically the only reason i watched CH. I loved phantom of the office so much I dressed up as him for Halloween in HS. nobody knew who tf i was lol
Mad respect
Weirdo
Man.. when he realized this was the episode that introduced the streeter piefell line, dude his face did a 180 and he instantly became filled with years of torment. I mean he honest to god HATES that line and you can 100% see it. Really feel for the guy that must really suck. Like being called doobs or something on the street is one thing, but this one really takes the... pie.
When he said he had no recollection of the episode I immediately said "wait for it..."
the boiling hot spum episode is loved by every j and a fan i have ever met. how much of a weird outlier it is only makes it funnier
the apple juice really makes it so much funnier
I think if the start was less graphic and Amir was more descriptive it would be an A+, I like the long silence.
boiling hot spum is one of the most upsetting things I've ever heard.
It is genuinely hilarious
I still remember how hard I laughed when I first heard it and that would have been like 7 years aho
You know it's amazing comedy when you've watched the episode 100 times and you still wish they'd stop talking over it because you're missing jokes
For me it’s more like I want them to hear the jokes!
Can't believe they paused in the middle of "I killed a child? Well you killed a franchise!" My favorite line of the episode that's pretty clever and brings multiple jokes together
Sammy Wohl this is what I’m saying! I’ve seen all of these they’ve put on UA-cam, and there have been several where I’m pissed that they didn’t pause because they missed one of their jokes I wanted them to comment on. I honestly need more of these..
They completely glossed over the line "I killed a child, you killed a franchise"
Jake and Streeter giving Lunch Conversations a C+ is hilarious because it’s genuinely one of the funniest episodes in my opinion
Absolutely, it's an easy A+.
it's actually a lot better than the vast majority of SNL skits
My favorite Streeter J&A moment is in Jake and Amir: Daughter when he starts yelling at Jake in an Italian accent for insulting his “niece”.
Wow wow wow who’s talking about my niece over here
Boozy dad was his greatest role ever but I think that was hardly working
Christopher Marlowe Boozy Dad is good but it doesn’t beat The Phantom
@@ilikeemerica9619
Yoooo, I will regularly say this to myself when no one is around out loud.
WOAH WOAH WOAH WHO'S TALKIN TO MY NIECE LIKE THAT?
Or was Streeter’s flannel in every J&A vid NOT STYLIN’?!?!
I feel like no one from the old CH cast remembers half the stuff that the fans remember. Its a very trippy thing
Like how George Lucas remembers less about Star Wars canon that he created than millions of fanboys remember.
Its like what m bison said to chun lee something something it was just Tuesday for me
I never interpreted their old videos as offensive, I’ve always looked at it like Always Sunny or The Office where part of the humor is how godawful these characters are
100%
It is truly sad to see people respond naturally to a joke, laughing and giggling, then rush to denounce and defend themselves so pathetically.
Yea the woke apology drives me nuts. They’re in a bubble of leftism.
@onmy computer2020gal Not really, you kind of grow up after a while. It did remind me of that Beastie Boys thing on Apple, where it just came across weird. I don't think they mind if people still find them funny or not - I mean it's frat boy 'college' humour - just more that they wouldn't write like that now. Stuff you found hilarious when you're in your teens/early 20s just feels a bit low-level and maybe they were actually a bit like that hence the element of shame.
THAT'S EXACTLY RIGHT. Im so tired of people saying shit like “can't even make a joke now with the PC culture.” nah dude, calling someone a racial slur isn't funny. Making a character use racial slurs to pin point the stupidity of bigotry, is funny. Good comedy can reference anything and it will still be funny without any offense
It’s interesting watching these guys be borderline ashamed of these videos we all hold so dear lol
I think they're concerned about being 'cancelled' by today's online culture because they have some jokes which could be taken as offensive by particularly 'woke' people. It sucks
@@strawberrypencl Nope, you've made that up as something to be upset about
@@samtrotter7177 Nah, I've picked it up from stuff they've said in their other videos about the old ones, they've spoken about wokeness and how they couldn't get away with certain sketches in current year.
We live in a society lol
@@samtrotter7177 Uhuh, not like they were laughing their assess off while watching and then afterwards have to pretend to be all ashamed. Where do you gaslighting drones even come from?
@@strawberrypencl It's pretty obvious that their actual opinions of how ok those jokes are has shifted, but some of their "problematic" jokes are still funny to them and us
"Hey Mr No lunch . No lunch?" Is something David and murph say to pat during the stepfather episode with Chris gethard
Hugh jackman you mean
Actually I do believe that in that episode, he identified himself as C-Snap, Pat's step-dad. He just happens to look identical to Hugh Jackman.
8:13 Streeter internal dialogue “OH so this was the moment Jake and Amir ruined my life.”
It was also an external dialogue
The delivery of "boiling hot spum" is the single best delivered line in the entire series, and their reactions are as if this was 100% real life. Stunningly good acting all around.
jake actually has a remarkable memory
"The hope is nobody will actually weed through..." I've been going through the 698-video "Every Jake and Amir Video" playlist bit by bit. Tbh It's sad to see them not like all these videos. I think they are still some of the funniest things on YT and its surprising to hear Streeter say he never saw them and that they are too bad to want to watch them all.
"I don't remember these"
"You were IN them"
"Was I?"
Streeter saying "that's when it stopped being fun" made me want a full discussion on the death of that era of CollegeHumor. Or, if there's a podcast episode that talks about this, someone tell me which one.

Just replying for the sake of the notification when someone figures it out.
Lunch Conversation is one of my favourite episodes. I think about it often and I still laughed as hard as the first time watching you guys watch this.
The idea that ANYTHING Amir says is too far, even in the context of actually contributing to the conversation at hand is so funny to me.
I think the eagerness makes it funny as well. He clearly wants to be a part of the fun. He is so desperate for that interaction.
I think it really works well.
For the record I've always really loved lunch conversation. Sometimes lazy writing is the funniest writing.
Yeah their ratings of these episodes were terrible. I mean they laughed the entire way through. What’s the point of a comedy video if the intention isn’t to cause laughter? Who cares if it is lazy writing if it works. Like you some of my favorite episodes are the “lazier” ones. The fact that they laughed throughout and loved the jokes and the situational stuff and didn’t give them solid grades just make 0 sense. And no it’s beside the point that my grade for all 600+ episodes is A++... well except the Amir stomach flu episode with the pizza. That was just.. a little too grotesque. A-
Agreed, it's a legendary episode. One of the most iconic lines of the whole series.
3:33 more budget meetings than in the old building? So like:
"1st point: if you're gonna use two staples, just use one!"
"2nd point: loose leaf, if you're gonna use two sheets just use one..."
Is it too late for another 60s theme day?
I mean, we are in a punctuation recession after all
“Hey Mr. No Lunch, no lunch?” Is from the episode Step Dad, which was said by David

Can't wait for "Jake and Amir watch Jake and Amir watching Jake and Amir"
Very original and clever.
@@stevemyers3082 ok
It's as though they don't realise the undeniable talent and originality they possess. At the heart of their comedy is the tried and tested format of two men bickering, but the premise in each episode is initially so inconceivably stupid or outrageously offensive that most other comedians would reject them early on in their drafting process. But instead they persevere in the logic behind them, adjusting either the personalities of the two or the wider context, until it becomes just probable enough to be believable. Essentially they turn something that could never hope to survive into something that is so robust that it has an enduring fanbase. It is somewhere in this paradox that the genius of their humour lies.
Lunch conversation and Homeland are literally some of my favorite Jake and Amir episodes because they so outrageously capture a PERFECT mood change. It’s SO fucking funny. That, and Celebration. I just love when it’s a complete 180 in mood and Amir strikes a weird hidden nerve that doesnt quite make sense, but fits in the absurdity of the world of J&A. its so fucking good. Those are the episodes I just straight up laugh aloud to.
Mid-late aughts at CH are severely underrated and represent a golden age at the institution (RIP) and a stepping stone in comedy. The humor of Jake & Amir was original and groundbreaking.
I honestly think Lunch Conversation is an A+ episode, there's more to writing a good bit than just dialogue.
The bloopers for icebreakers really elevated "eater pie fell" to god tier level line
It's funny that Jake's so ashamed of Lunch Conversation. It's hard to keep people laughing in silence, but they were good enough actors that they carried the energy really effectively.
Original vest joke was Jake wearing a vest on laundry day and getting roasted by Amir... It's called Vest lol
I don’t care what videos they watch as long as they fill me with that boiling hot spum 🥵
Boiling hot spum???
I don’t like what just happened.
@@TimmyMcGowan Give daddy a like.
Boiling hot spum is actually one of my favorite jokes and reactions of the entire series so don't worry. I didn't feel cheated by this episode.
Props to Amir for standing behind Lunch Conversation
Loved this guys! Ice Breakers is one of my favourite J&A episodes, the kind where if you laugh too loud you miss the next gag.
Genius, next level. Make a bunch of awesome skits and then react to them.
Haven’t watched these guys since 2011. Now…here I am!
Haven’t seen meater dryspell in a while! As in, he can be seen here enduring a 5 minute dryspell of having no meat in his mouth
Jake's hand movement at 7:08 is one of the few things keeping me alive
"bad vest"
"Noooooo it's jeans"
Such an underrated line
They're thinking of Hardly Working - Ghost Stories where Amir tells a story about hitting a child with his car.
Was the line Nice Hat No Hat not from J&A?
@@Aryeh487 I'm talking about when they talk about Amir killing a child by accident and they wonder whether that's a running joke

I love Lunch Conversation episode, one of my favorites.
I love that streeter thinks that a condor is a mythical bird
Honestly, I don't see the times you've "sat" in silence as "lazy writing". I'll agree that it does save time writing though ;)
During the silence, Jake and Amir are both still interacting, emoting, feeding off each other. The physical comedy of awkwardness is hilarious!
Jake with the throwback look, legit looks the same as he did 10 years ago
you jokingly say that collegehumor fans tracked where everyone went off to but it’s not a joke. we did, streeter 😂
That's actually so true 😂😂😂😂
We *do.
And we will. Forever..
Good to see Eater Piefell back with the boys!
4:57 I was watching the hardly working with Chris Gethard as stepdad and David says something similar to Pat about not having a lunch. Might be a David young joke
Amir was from the future. Specifically, he witnessed the man who diarrheaed that one plane
a gift from the podfathers
4:52 is streeter thinking of Hardly Working Step Dad with Hugh Jackman where Pat sits down and David says “Hey no lunch, no lunch?”
Man I miss their shit. Watched em for years, it was kinda crazy when it all ended.
The awkward silences are my favorite episodes! Thai food menu kills every time
Editor in cheese Mr. Eater Piefell, don’t eat my frickin vest
Lunch conversation is hilarious not for the writing, but the acting from everyone, especially amir. A lot of what of Amir does in that silence, the little facial expressions and noises he makes, not only in this one, but Thai Food, Homeland, and Brownie that doesn't have anything to do with the writing. Some episodes are insanely well scripted, like Mouse Trap, New Shirt, and also Homeland, but the silence ones showcase their insane acting abilities.
More like Streeter Flybear. As in he's one fly looking bear... and he pretty much kills it.
How are the three of them wearing almost the EXACT same outfits as they are in the hot spum video... Not much has changed
Streeter looks like he eats sandwiches more frequently than the average person.
...the way that he's larger than everyone else.
his signature weapon is probably the minigun
Kinda annoying how they act like they have no idea why it's funny. The joke is that it is different than most episodes and that yeah what Amir says isn't actually worse but it is somehow more graphic and the fact they do treat it as worse is funny
3 of my favourite CH guys all together, just missing Murph
“Boiling hot spum” is one of my favorite episodes!
Haven't seen much traction about the origin of Amir's character's murder, but it's online debut was in Hardly Working: Ghost Stories where he tells a ghost story about losing control of his car in a blizzard and hitting a girl scout.
All these years later and "boiling hot spum" still makes me cry laugh 🤣
Lunch conversation is probably one of the best videos they have made in my opinion.
That was absolutely majestic! Take me back to 2012.
5:33 Jake has the exact same reaction in the video and the commentary
Honest to God, the lunch conversation made me laugh so so hard. I would have given it an A. Its Good!
I remember watching this and thought dont eat my vest was the funniest thing ever
You shouldnt feel the need to apologize
The kill the innocent child one was when you guys were telling scary stories and streeter forgot he was covering someone's shift at TGI fridays.. god why do I still remember this LOL
it is! hardly working ghost stories lmao good catch
The “hey no hat, no hat?” thing I think comes from a joke David Young made in an episode of hardly working: Step Dad.
Correct
Streeter, Jake, and Amir, make sketch comedy together. Funniest guys alive!
Finally one that isn’t cut way short.
I liked that real Jake and character Jake were both covering their face at the intern scene lmao
Reminds me of the college humor the golden years video with Streeter and Pat
“Nice hat, no hat” is a catch phrase from Dave on the Hardly Working series
I wish they watched Hardly Working videos too, at least the ones that they're in
Ben Schwartz was smart to have like 20 personas because everyone who had one think like eater pie fell or doobs haven’t escaped the jake and Amir fans
I hate how afraid people are of comedy these days, the whole point is to dance on the line of offense. You want to push the envelope otherwise what are you even doing? The comics the understand this are the ones who succeed. Jake and Amir shouldn't look back and be ashamed because their old videos are offensive to todays audience. They weren't offensive then and people loved em, and still do
@Spicy Memer47 First of all, that is the most articulate response I've ever gotten on a UA-cam comment. Secondly, yes I agree there is a difference between a joke involving a slur and than strait up insulting someone. It needs to have the right context and punchline, and that's what I mean about pushing the envelope. Some comedians understand how this works (like the writers of Rick and Morty) and some don't... they usually don't last very long. The idea is to be on the edge but not actually attacking a certain group or person.
Gen 2 is amazing! Playing thru heart gold for the first time right now and loving it!
Lunch conversation is in my top 10
These jokes would work equally well today. J&A doesn't glorify their characters; part of the fun is that they're idiots and/or casual bigots that nobody should want to emulate!
The "nice hat, No-Hat!" thing reminds me of "Hey Mr. No-Lunch, no lunch?" line from Hardly Working: Step-Dad. Another CH sketch featuring Streeter, not to mention Chris Gethard!
Lunch Conversation is one of my favorites!
I was so sad when college humor started getting crappy. You can see when things stopped being fun, because the comedy just started going flat. The fact that you guys were able to get this footage on your own channel makes me extatic
Agreed, I was very happy to hear that they own the videos now.

I would LOVE a College Humor exposé with Streeter where y’all talk about the end of the golden era of CH
SO GOOD to see Streeter again!

Streeter was always one of my favourite members of the classic Hardly Working crew.
