Thanks for showing how to unfold the mattress! There were no instructions included with the product, so I thought I'd check first. After our first night on this new mattress, we are quite pleased!
I'm still in my sleep trial for the Avocado Green-almost 7 months. First, this mattress screams high quality. The materials and construction are remarkable. However, it's not a great mattress if you're a petite, athletic side sleeper--125 to 135. I experience hip pressure point issues within minutes of lying on my side. It's fantastic when I'm sleeping on my back. Consumer Reports' review does mention that it might not be the best for petite side sleepers but gave it a B for that category. So, I took the plunge and am paying the price. I give it an F for side sleeping and an A for back sleeping.
@Emmie T they said you only qualify for that warranty if you buy the specific bed with the specific slats sizes/measurements they want....which a lot of beds don't come with those measurements. So it was a pain to find a bed that met their requirements. Even after buying a bed with their requirements, the warranty return policy took forever. They purposely for few months kept delaying it. They asked for a couple of dozen pictures and it just never stopped. In the end they were hoping I would give up, which I did. They won! 😡😫
@@alwaysinsearch I'm sorry you didn't get your refund. They're picking mine up tomorrow. I have a standard adjustable base. I did have to call them to restart the return process because I hadn't heard from them for a few weeks after submitting the return request online. I'll update this response with how the process went.
Mine is getting delivered tomorrow but it's for the spare bedroom (aka my parents bedroom). They are elderly and usually have some aches here and there. Hopefully they will like it.
Yes we love it for our son who needs a firmer mattress. I fall asleep on it all the time with him during naps. If I had this mattress for myself I would put an extra latex topper on it.
Naturally Made Mom so you got the pillow top model and still plan to add an additional topper? Wouldn’t it be best to just get the non-pillow top version and add an external topper , if you prefer a softer feel? Seems like you’re paying for the (too thin?) topper twice.

I’m worried with no pillow top it will be too firm. They are just so little. But then I worry with pillow top is too soft. I inquired to avacado about it and they said the pillow top was a 5/10 - medium firmness. Which I don’t necessarily believe. Every review says a firm medium-firm feel. I just am having a hard time finding info for this mattress for toddlers! Thanks so much!!
We don’t flip it, but we do rotate it. So far it hasn’t been a problem. I know you can buy the pillow top part separate though so I’m theory you can flip your mattress and then just put the pillow top on after.
@@naturallymademom so was mine .... it was the IKEA Malm bed frame. The full size Avocado Mattress fit into it perfectly. I love that there is NO BOX SPRING and I am loving my Avocado Vegan Mattress and "mini" pillow.

I would not recommend avocado mattress at all. Within a year, the mattress started sinking. It was a waste of money....a lot of money!

Its been 3 yrs now; how is it keeping for you so far?

I’m afraid it will be way to firm for them, no way I’d be laying on this thing as an older person with aches and pains. It will cause aches and pains.

I presently have a Serta mattress and box spring with my bed. Can this Avocado mattress be used on a box spring mattress? Nobody seems to know!
You can use it on a platform bed, on the floor, or a normal box spring mattress

It's a different process than other latexes. You can't have allergies with latex mattresses if that's what you're worried about

Worst mattress ever. It’s extremely firm and so uncomfortable, you will be in pain. Do not buy this mattress, I wish I had listened to other reviews.
