What a great find. It is a lovely spot that Jake would have really enjoyed. I especially liked your old bench picture. I used to collect bench pictures and have a fair amount of them. I would have loved to spot that bench and add it to my collection!

And close to wine tasting - HA HA! That bench was cool - really a pretty park and a lot to see!

Amazing to find redwoods in Napa Valley! Next time we would like to tour the grist mill and do some of the hikes - we are limited as we have the ball and chain (Lexie) with us...

We would love to see that!!! We just had some family move out to Napa Valley and are hoping to visit.
By the Way: We "tagged" you in a video today. Do with it what you will. We really enjoy your channel and wanted others to check it out. ;-)

If you're still out this way, if you have not already, you should head towards Santa Rosa area and hit up places along the Russian River and then make your way to HWY1 and camp in the Emerald Forest in Trinidad out there on the coast. Nothing like being in a redwood forest on the Pacific. The best of both worlds. My dream is to get an RV (possibly a Class B) and work my way up that way and along HWY1 till I get to Ventura and SB. :) Someday.

I wish we were still up that way - we visited several months ago - it takes me quite a bit of time to organize the pics & videos, edit, find music etc + I work full time (ugh)! We have not done the Russian River but want to! Friends used to Work Kamp at a campground there. So many places to see!!! Panther Flat on the Smith River was gorgeous too... and Oregon! I have a lot of videos on Oregon and several on Northern CA. Thanks for watching and I love the "UseHerName" - ha ha!!

First thing that popped into my mind when your video showed the campground....poison oak😂Ken and I used to live in Redway which is in the Ave of the Giants area, less than 2 hours from this park. I didn’t know about this park. Now that we are in a B+ motorhome, this is great to know.
It’s going on my NorCal Campgrounds playlist. Thanks again. Missed Lexi in this one.

I hate poison oak! I have been lucky to never touched it, although it is all over several places we have camped. I didn't really notice any, but we didn't hike other than to the old graves. Bothe-Napa was a cool little spot! I would definitely stay there again! And take that shuttle in to the wineries :)
Several years ago we stayed at a private campground near the Ave of the Giants and I let Lex swim in the river THEN we were told it had the blue green algae - UGH!
I will work on some Lexie videos for you soon! Thanks Jane :)

Really nice Campground. Looks very peaceful and relaxing. That's a first, a campground with a shuttle. How cool! I'd take total advantage of that service.
    Peace!

How funny! I was just responding to your last comment to me asking where I lived now and I live out here haha! I left you a response BTW. I actually live up by Lake Berryessa which is outside Napa proper. I never even knew about this camp ground! lol Thank you, this is a great video. I just showed my husband, next chance we get we're coming out with the dogs for a day visit (we don't have an RV - yet). ;)

That's so cool! My cousin is a Chief Park Ranger with the Bureau of Reclamation there! Someday we will get to Berryessa. Not sure if the dogs can go on the hikes - they aren't supposed to go on the one to the cemetery and Grist Mill, but the day use area is really nice! We love the hidden "not well- known" campgrounds. Let me know when you go!

So sad, lots of damage from the Glass Fire 2020.

I was wondering about fire damage... sad to hear. We really enjoyed our stay here and wanted to go back some day. We were supposed to camp at Shaver Lake about 3 weeks ago, and that area had (has) a horrible fire as well. :(
