I absolutely love the line “I stop to say hello cause I think you should know by now”, sounds like a true and emotional message from someone who’s trying to get rid of the things that harm him
My friend and me
Looking through her red box of memories
Faded I'm sure
But love seems to stick in her veins you know
Yes, there's love if you want it
Don't sound like no sonnet, my lord
Yes, there's love if you want it
Don't sound like no sonnet, my lord
My lord
Why can't you see
That nature has its way of warning me
Eyes open wide
Looking at the heavens with a tear in my eye
Yes, there's love if you want it
Don't sound like no sonnet, my lord
Yes, there's love if you want it
Don't sound like no sonnet, my lord
My lord
Sinking faster than a boat without a hull
My lord
Dreaming about the day when I can see you there
My side
By my side
Here we go again and my head is gone, my lord
I stop to say hello
'Cause I think you should know, by now
By now
By now
By now
By now
By now
Oh, by now
Oh, by now
Oh, by now
Oh, by now
Oh, by now
Oh, by now
Oh, by now
Oh, by now
This really is one of those which deserves more views.
Man is a legend, as they carried my big cousins/Foster bro coffin away 3 weeks ago they played bitter sweet symphony and I had a moment watching this, this band bring me so many happy memories of watching him grow into a man over the years I love them ❤️they were his band thru and thru rest in peace bro
Fuck me there is no songs that mean anything anymore 🤷🏻♂️ always back to the 90s
You'd expect the best acoustic version to come from the writer of the song... doesn't disappoint! Carefully played/ sung. 3 mins 23-25 seconds ("here we go again....".etc) very nicely done on the strumming/can clearly hear the change...smooth and subtle
The best song in the world
Amazing.
No words.
What a voice, brilhant. Que voz, brilhante. RPA forever.
Is it sad that I have to come back to bands like the verve to find any meaning in songs? Where the next Richard Ashcroft or Noel Gallagher? Instead we get materialistic garbage 😞
@@petermurney9840 great artists but doesn’t have the same feel to me personally. Thank you for suggesting them though :)
I’m right there with you Jon, I’m an up and coming singer/songwriter my influences are NG and Ashcroft if you wanna check my new single out. I’ll have verve/oasis banger out in a few months

Una joya, un clásico, una huella real en la buena música!!! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Gorgeous interpretation! I think the Verve was the best Brit pop band of the 90's!
Per sempre Richard 💙✌

That Hummingbird is taking a beating, but she can take it!
They experienced something together right there, for sure. She was waiting for him to strike her! And she responded.
Beautiful
Brilliant!
My friend and me. Love this song best song on urban hymns with space and time. Acoustic demo of drugs don't work better also. Peace world x Check out merry go round Rosco. Just ruff acoustic but ideas there
Just ordinary lads from Upholland. Who would have thought they'd become famous!

One of the best songs ever written, and the acoustic stripped back versions better than the original.
