So great to understand and appreciate the importance of the priesthood. The great dedication and commitment that our priest have to Jesus Christ and to all of us is certainly deserving of our honor and respect.

I found an SSPX church and the Traditional Mass about a year ago -- an undeserved blessing. I watched an SSPX ordination video about 6 months later and heard the Te Deum for the first time -- the heart rises to God -- it's amazing!
Thank You for the Sacrament series!

So nice to see one of our priests, Fr. McFarland, in this video and learning so much about this process!

Thank you so much for these podcasts. I listen to them every morning while exercising. I am up to date in the sacrament series and am in episode seven in the crisis series. My husband has started listening and I’m sharing with all I know. Thank you for this amazing catechesis. We are blessed and so grateful.

If men are to be also ordained as SubDeacon they are ordained before the Epistle and then one of the newly ordained SubDeacons sings the Epistle of the Mass. Then Deacons are ordained before one of them sings the Gospel of the Mass. Then the Deacons who are to become Priests are ordained and then, for the only time as Traditional Priests, they concelebrate the Mass with the Bishop who just ordained them.
Tradition also has it that the cloth which binds together a Priest's newly anointed hands will be placed around the hands of the Priest's mother when she passes away. Heaven holds a very special place for the mothers of Priests.

A very nerdy question. When Bp Fellay was superior, did he ask for the vow of obedience in the form of an ordinary (promittis mihi) or in the form of a bishop taking the vow on behalf of the superior of priests under a rule (promittis praelato ordinario tuo)? I assume the latter since regardless of being a bishop he was a superior not an ordinary.

I believe it would be on behalf of the superior, not as the ordinary, since at the time he was the Superior of the SSPX not by dint of his episcopacy, but by his election in the Fraternity. (This is my understanding, but I reserve the right to be corrected by one of our priests -A)
Bishops of the SSPX do not exercise (nor claim) juridical power as is normal for Diocesan bishops.

Why the inverted crosses on the candles hold by the priests (19'17") ? Saint Peter's sign? I see the Most Holy Trinity symbol and that Cross. It is good to clarify those things. Some people freak out when they saw it behind Woijtila's back on a pontifical kind of throne and on a table (new "mass" altar) at Saint Peter's basilica more recently.
That, setting aside the judgment of the heresies of Woijtila and Bergoglio in this case.
I mean it is not a symbol strange to Catholicism before 1962, is it? (The inverted Cross).
