  • 'Seven Nation Army' - The White Stripes - Drum Lesson featuring The Andy Guitar Band.
    Introducing the first song from the 'Andy Guitar Band Programme’; having linked up with UA-cam guitar maestro Andy Guitar, we’ve put together a series of songs showing you how to play along with a live band!
    There’ll be 21 songs in this series and each song has an accompanying full drum play through video, which you can view here: • Drum Covers and full drum lesson which you can view here: • Drum Song Lessons breaking down the major sections so that you can learn the parts and then play along to the live band version.
    Also for all you guitarists and bassists out there make sure you check out Andy's guitar & bass tutorials over on his channel: / andycrowley
    I hope you enjoy watching, learning and playing along to these videos… If you do remember to like, share and subscribe, and please comment me if you have any questions at all!
    There will be a new song / tutorial every Sunday at midday so make sure you subscribe to keep up to date!
    Massive thanks,
    Thom....now let's hit some DRUMS!

    Absolutely amazing! Thanks Thom! Been searching for a while how to play this song, and finally found not only someone playing it right, but great instruction and so easy to follow (that 16th note kick on the chorus - so straight forward, and works perfectly with the song - seen so many people try all sorts to make that delayed snare sound, and never sounded right)

    My floor tom sounds wayy lower and harder what's wrong??

    • @ThomMillsDrums
      @ThomMillsDrums  3 роки тому +1

      It will be tuned differently for sure, and is a different drum it all depends on what sound you want to go for. Nothing is wrong but have a play around with the tuning, and remember the bottom head plays a huge role too!

    It is a triplet! Dude, and everyone knows this! And why are you leaving out the open high-hat 1/4-notes???

    • @ThomMillsDrums
      @ThomMillsDrums  2 роки тому

      Yes of course it’s a triplet bass drum timing, never got to that conclusion my bad! Which hi hat opens? In the verse?

    I have absolutely no skill on any instrument.
    Do you even think about what u gotta do or does it just flow naturally, so to speak?

    • @ThomMillsDrums
      @ThomMillsDrums  Рік тому +1

      When I first started I was genuinely bad, I’ve taught a lot of students and I was probably the worst of all. The key ingredient at least for me was that I love it and wanted to get better so just stuck with it and had the right attitude. If you love it and enjoy it that’s what matters and takes you there
