All these games look amazing! I had moved from the Speccy to the Amiga A500 from 1990 but I always felt that the Amiga plus it's community were lacking the sole and creativity of the Speccy. Speccy games felt more fun to play! The Amiga felt like a slightly dull early PC in comparison to the Speccy. ZX Spectrum 'Next' here I come! Plus I'll be getting some of these games for it 👍
I know you were avoiding the mainstream releases but there's a good few commercially released titles from 1992 / 1993 that would've been nice to see here. Street Fighter 2, Space Gun and G-LOC would've been good to see just to show how far people tried to push the system. Also Terminator 2 and Space Crusade.
There once was a ZX spectrum game that had a yellow grid flooring with three number doors at the end of the room. When you died once, a wizard would come and resurrect you. He would tell you what to do from then on. The goal was to get through door 100. Does anyone know the name of this game? It is not wizards warrior or wizards layer.
Well, I don't see it as stealing (although it de facto is). It was more a "demo scene" in my opinion, and games are probably from programmers that couldn't really create gfx or something. I'm just glad there were (are) enthusiasts that keep the ZX scene alive. DOOM and Prince are impressive though - I really was in awe...
Wow! I didn't know there was a port of Prince of Persia or Doom un Spectrum! All those games are awesome!
Yeap, I was surprised as well. And they are actually very playable.
Maybe you don't know, but there is a game like a Warcraft :) Black Raven called. And of coz by russians.

that doom demo is great,
Yes, I didn't think anything like this was even possible on Speccy.
Looks more like "Wolfenstein" but still great.
Got to love those speccy games👍🏻
Agreed :)
Still play a lot of those. Captain Dynamo was so much fun.
Interesting video, but is sad to note that two of the countries featured are now at war.
A fake war all about money laundering

Imagine they tried to make any of these things work on the C64 with it's pathetic 1MhZ CPU !! 😀
So today we learned that there is DOOM on the Speccy and that Russians like stealing Dizzy stuff lol
