- Market Edge: Valenzuela City Mayor Rex Gatchalian urges the NLEX Corporation to not paint the LGU as the hostile party after suspending its business permit in the city due to its faulty RFID system that’s caused ‘atrocious traffic’ . Gatchalian says that the company had seven years to fix the faulty RFID system but did nothing, shrugging off the issue thinking it was a monopoly. Gatchalian adds that If SLEX can roll out the same cashless system with a 98% readability, NLEX should too. The Mayor is set to meet with NLEX corp officials to touch base and chart the next steps either on Tuesday or Wednesday.

Kagalang galang at mahal namin Mayor Rex Gatchalian. Ito ang masasabi ko na makaka-ganda at mapapabilis na serbisyo sa lahat ng Motorista kung ang magiging proposal ng NLEX management sa inyong tanggapan ay ganito;
(Install 2nd Easytrip-NLEX Scanner Support or Install Speedy Card Scanner & All Booth with RFID or Speedy Card Scanner will also have Cash Payment)
1. Kung matatagalan ang pag upgrade nila sa Easytrip-NLEX Scanner machine nila dahil sobrang mahal mag purchase nito o baka pwede maglagay sila ng 2nd Scanner para support doon sa current Super Slow Scanner na ginagamit nila o kung wala sila talaga magagawa sa upgrade, hindi din pwede na magsu-suffer ang motorista sa bulok nilang Scanner. Ibalik na muna nila ang ilan Cash Booth or Maglagay sila ng Speedy Card Scanner na nka install sa lahat ng Booth hindi yun portable na hinahawakan pa ng tao na kung saan yun Easytrip Card ntin i-scan nlng kapag dumadaan tyo sa side ng booth para cashless pa din. Doon nlng sa Card ang scanning possible mas mabilis kaysa sa Scanner nila na nsa taas na super slow at hindi ganun kabilis magbasa kasi nga lumang machine or as in OLD MODEL Scanner.
Kaysa sa aasa tyo sa Super Slow nilang RFID-Scanner na naiipon lang ang mga vehicle sa toll. Kung wala nmn load yun Card, or Easytrip-RFID nka ready pa din ang lahat ng booth para makapag bayad ka ng cash dahil madami pa din motorista ang iresponsible sa ganyan na hindi nagche check ng load nila o hindi naglalagay ng sapat na load bago pumasok ng Toll. Kung mag stay pa din tyo sa current super slow scanner nila at walang cash collector sa mga RFID Booth edi dating gawi na naka stock mga sasakyan sa booth dahil hindi ma-scan at wala din way to pay the cash (Bulok na bulok diba) at dating gawi na malaking abala sa ibang motorista!

2. Kung makakapag upgrade sila in less time or it takes time pa, mas maganda at makakabuti sa lahat ng motorista from North or South na yun Easytrip-Nlex System ay i-develop nila yun pag intigrate sa Autosweep-RFID System or mas maganda din kung pati yun user ng Autosweep-RFID pwede i-integrate sa Easytrip-RFID. Madami na nagsasabi na almost useless daw at hindi effective yun ganun dahil magkaiba na company kaya bandang huli napipilitan kumuha lahat ng 2 RFID. Pwede ba ganun nlng dahilan at magtitiis ang motorista? Gumawa sila ng paraan na effective at accurate scanning kung isang sticker o magkakaroon ng isang Speedy Card System nlng ang kukunin. Ex. Kung nka Easytrip kana pwede i-integrate sa Autosweep and vice versa.

3. More knowledge sa mga motorista na ang paglo-load ng Easytrip or Autosweep account ay pwede gawin via Gcash, other E Wallet System or via Mobile Banking. Mas maganda halos lahat ng bank sa Philippines nka integrate ang loading system sa 2 RFID System na ito at dapat i-advertise ng mga malalaking Toll booth yun ganitong payment system para malaman ng lahat kasi madami pa hindi nakaka alam nyan. Ex. Naglo-load mismo sa Toll (laking abala sa ibang motorista dahil parang snake yan kanan dito kaliwa doon naghahanap ng tamang lane kung saan Reloading), pumupunta ng 7Eleven pero minsan nmn palpak din machine ng 7Eleven yun CliqApp nila kaya abala lang.

4. In the future kung magkakaroon na ng super fast scanning machine ang Easytrip-NLEX System, lagyan na nila ng Toll bawat Exit via Nlex. Kasi ang nangyayari na matagal tagal na din laging 1 payment from Balintawak to Bocaue Toll or vice versa. Kung pataas ng pataas ang Toll Fee nila edi lagi buo binabayaran ng Motorista. Ex kung tga Marilao ka, pupunta ka ng susunod na Exit lang ay babayaran mo lagi yun buo na fee or kung galing ka Bocaue Entry Toll going to Meycauayan Exit babayaran mo ay buo na fee din. Para fair sa lahat ng motorista, ang babayaran mo lng kung saan ka galing na Entry tpos kung hanggang saan Exit ka lang hindi yun lagi buo binabayaran ng Motorista. Dati ganyan sistema pero mas maganda ibalik yun ganitong payment system, basta yun ilalagay nila na Scanner ay super fast hindi yun nararanasan ng Motorista ngayon sa NLEX dahil kung hindi magdudulot din ito ng Heavy Congestion sa lahat ng Exit point.

I myself experienced this inefficiency of mntc. After installation of my rfid and have it activated, my first two travels was a mess.

This is DOTR's mess also. Giving not enough ample time for the operators and the public before implementing this RFID. Imagine, I'm from the North and I can't even use my RFID if I use TPLEx

nlex sucks - if they upgrade or fix their toll sensors means we commuters need to replace our rfid stickers too. meaning nlex is in big trouble to face till 2nd quarter of 2021.

@@nhengprintz5053 - I think the problem is not just the RFID itself but more on the network lag from the Internet connection and the replication of the Infrastructure Servers’ data. This is evident from the Mayor’s statement that he placed a load but the load does show it is accessible.
The actual solution is actually complicated.

Right here waiting for the effect of the last domino to fall where all not just valenzuela city will have a toll holiday. RFID's should not really be a hit or miss and technology of that scale should really be alleviating not the other way around adding more to reasons of congestion to an already congested traffic situation. That is very gracious of NLEX allowing travelers to travel on their roads for free until they get the systems working and get business permits reinstated.
