I've heard several of your talks and am grateful you are putting this out to the world. The way you explain things from a Jewish point of view is refreshing. I would sit in Christian church when I was young and none of the books of the Tora made sense, now with age and with better explanations, the Bible makes a lot more sense. Thank you.

    • @johnmcgraw3568

@Z I think your anger has you missing some key ideas. I can't back this up with references so its can only be described as a personal belief and therefore subjective. In ancient mystery schools there was an outer order teaching ment to satisfy the masses and an inner order teaching of the people in the know. Different ways of looking and understanding similar or same materials for different results and levels of understanding.
Man did seem to cherry pick scriptures and place his own spin on the Bible, there were many mis translations on accident and maybe purposely, much less missed interpretations on how it is taught to the flock by leaders even today.
If you look at history, the church was very powerful and would have at the very least imprissioned you for comments like that. So where would someone who wanted to safely explore science, philosophy and spirituality go to study and be safe? The belly of the beast but would have done it carefully. There is a legend that the church didn't wipe out the Druids all together, some actually hid there. You think they may have had some influence behind the scenes?
Even if you call bs on all ive said, it can be argued you are Christian whether you want to believe you are or not. For many generations everyone in the west has been influenced and still are influenced by the Judeo-Christian belief system paradymn. There is no getting away from it is deep within everyone whether we consciously agree with or not. Even if you are the exception, 99 percent of people you interact with are unconsciously subjugated by that tradition. By listening to true Jews like this wise man I can gain better understanding about myself and the world around me by understanding how the original holders of that wisdom teaching understand, not just how the people that killed and subjugated my ancestors have mangled it to serve their own purposes.

God is love, He teaches, because he wants all that is unseen could be seen, all that is known by happiness, makes it devel in truth not in an illusion, He is the full, the commitment, the love that makes real all the things that are good, He is a Priciple, before the Principle , that Principle could not exist. God is Love, why people worries about hate? No hate fills the knowledge of the Almighty. Is an old phrase that says: The love of a mother is the most equal to the Love of God.

The very first letter in the Bible is a B that represents a tent or a dwelling. People need to understand the incarnation. God is infinite and we are finite. How does the finite contain the infinite? This is where they get into a discussion about "The shattering of the vessels". Even all the books in the world could not explain the first letter in the Torah.

The first known schools were known as Universities because they studied the stars and galaxies. Memphis was an African school where people sailed to for knowledge (know) (edge) of the EARTH because they had the planets highest civilization! Solon described a mythological land of Atlantis, then Plato searched for the land by using an ATLAS, (map) (Atlantis), then found it in Africa just below the ATLAS MOUNTAINS, in a place called Mauritania where king ATLAS ruled. Today its referred to as the Ricat eye of the SAHARA! People today would rather refer to it as an unfounded land because they refuse to give credit to black people for civilizing the world.

The "hand of Gd".... is the Torah description of Him in terms of humanity's understanding His existence and involvement or role in the life of existence.
His existence is manifest in obscurity.
This means that - His existence is found in the wind, the trees the natural environment.

I want to highlight the Bible from an economic perspective. Man realized that it is not only natural disasters that can trigger a trauma. Creating a society of hierarchies and slaves can also create an unchallenged position of power as in Egypt.
The Bible describes Exodus and an invisible God. Later in the Middle Ages, the Torah and the NT removed chapters written by women.
Today, companies operate from an invisible position of power where, for example, Amazon uses prisoners in China. The push button are in amygdala who has no time limit. The trauma goes on for 24-7 and we feel powerless. Here and now thinking, will release us all.

When I heard the Rabbi speak of G-d both existing and not existing, it reminded me of subatomic particles and all the mysteries of quantum mechanics. On a gigantic cosmological scale, we've trace things back to the Big Bang. And what existed before that? A mystery. On the tiniest scale, we find ghost like particles (if you can call them that) that seem to pop in and out of existence. Particles that behave differently when they are observed, as if the "know" when they're being watched. The very fabric of the universe seems to echo the Rabbi's beautiful portrayal of the mysterious nature of G-d.

What about those who sincerely fear and love God, and realize that in the beginning God knew the ending and chose to create them and waited for thousands of years and all those thousands of centuries God has hated people not in existence, but created close to the end of days, they can never over come all the years God has had them on his mind, ...I am 54 years old , and I have had many experiences with God, and never was given more then a moment of peace,, I fear even writing this, but at some point if I had a teacher or someone that sincerely knows God, maybe I would have a chance! Whom God loves he loves, but why does he create those he hates? Or ignores? ....abortions shouldn't be the only truth and way for peace, but it appears day after day ,the only way not to suffer ,is to not exist, not to wonder , not to have needs for God to love you, if you dont exists then tranquility fills the air, God created the heavens and the earth in the beginning! That kind of power and authority teaches anyone who reads it, that God can answer prayer immediately! Yet weather men predict the weather, doctors try to heal, and when a person saids a prayer to God, they have to have excuses in their heart why God does not answer? ...do you know of a rabbi or anyone that can pray to God and have God respond with love?

Who am I to say if Jewish people are the "chosen ones" or not. It does raise the question however if Jews are the chosen what then are the other 11 tribes? Not chosen? All of Israel are not Jews only a small portion. If the claim that Jews are the chosen ones is a claim to an Abrahamic blood birthright and Jerusalem was totally sacked in 70 Ad by Titus with all the records destroyed who is to say who is a Jew and who is not legally speaking? Something is very wrong here. This person claiming to be a Jew can not legally prove it. For me this presents a problem. If Jewish people are Gods Chosen the Rabbi certainly does not know who they are and neither do I. So he is either deceived or he is lying by making a claim he can not legally support.

      Hi.
From my understand, Gd presented all the nations with the Commandments and the Torah. The Hebrews were the only people to choose to accept. Hope this helps!

Had it fed to me daily for the first half of my life twice on a Sunday.. in truth its merely what someone else imagined and we were taught it using ink on paper.. problem is we can now prove so much that we can see the word belief is just another term for imagination.. thats why we have so many religions and gods throughout time and today, its not truth they speak, but merely imagination..

And maybe you're the one having imagination? What convinces you that they're certainly wrong?

And who is the one who first imagined it? Meaning when did this belief start? And who did it and what was the motive? And how as he able to successfully convince so many people?

@@weeklydaily4775 The world, Science, History..people. let me ask you have we really got anything more than ink on paper and imagination? any less or more than what say a Hindu has for his belief in many Gods?

I guess we have ink on paper plus witnesses who testify from generation to generation.
But there's no proof that it's not true.

@@mickhealy572 how does the world and science and history prove religion is false?
I don't know anything about hindus. Do they claim to have had a revelation of their beliefs in front of hundreds of thousands big people?

I have to turn the sound off and read the closed captioning because of your voice which hurts my ears. Better than hearing/listening, but not ideal.

Interesting points, but a better dichotomy seems to be the difference between existence and life. God does not exist; he lives. This is why only he can give life. The question is not "what" God is, but "who" he is. I have much respect for Rabbi Manis Friedman's thinking, but his logic appears to be circular. Before God existed, he wanted something? Isn't want a feature of non-existence in the Rabbi's paradigm? Was there want before there was existence? Then it would mean that existence is the product of nothingness.
