- Experiencing Car Culture with Skid Society Car Vlogs; revisiting the automotive art form native to California; Lowriding. This 2021 Lowrider Cruise took place in Santa Ana, Orange County, California, as Classic Cars cruise under the summertime sunshine.
In today's video, we've got more Classic Car Culture Content; from the "No Mans Land" Lowriding Cruise and Classic Car Show in Santa Ana, California for lowrider cars including Cadillac Lowriders, G Bodys, Classic Cars, Mini Trucks and other clean Custom Car Builds from various car clubs in the Lowriding Scene on the West Coast of the USA. The classic cars with wire wheels, hydraulic suspension, custom paint jobs and period-correct trim were out on display and there were custom paint jobs, old school Chevrolet Impalas with Hydraulics, Lowriders hopping and hitting 3 wheel motion. There were all kinds of clean Classic Cars were bouncing and showing off their hydraulics at this Lowrider Cruise in Orange County, California. This car meet and classic car cruise was action packed, showcasing classic cars with hydraulics, lowriders cruising and hitting switches, gas hopping, bumping oldies and having a good time, showing out for the spectators that came to enjoy the Lowrider Car Culture and retro vibes! Cop Cars and the Police helicopter showed up to shut down this Lowrider Car Show, with lowriders and spectators being ordered to disperse. This Lowrider Cruise was a Car Meet and Lowrider Show with pristine examples of Classics such as the 64 Impala Lowrider, Chevy Bel Air, Lincoln Continental, very early model classic cars with loud exhausts and sirens, Cadillac Fleetwood Brougham, Lincoln Town Car, Chevrolet Monte Carlo, El Camino Lowrider, Chevrolet Malibu Wagon, different types of G Body including the Oldsmobile Cutlass and Buick Regal, Chevrolet Caprice, Mercury Grand Marquis, Chevrolet Special Deluxe, a few Classic Lowrider Trucks as well as a range of other vehicles from the 1930s all the way up to the 2000s and beyond!

I most definitely remember cruising Whittier Blvd back in the mid 80s, America is a car culture, besides cruising is safe , its not like these people are doing a street take overs, most low riders cruise low and slow thats why it's called cruising , it's not like they are speeding like some of the younger people in their tunner race cars. These cops are targeting the wrong people!!!!!
@Paul Martinez true, but most car meets with the older crowds dont turn violent, I know I go to a lot of them, most low riders don't want the problems or want their vehicles damaged or wrecked , some of these car enthusiasts have 70,000 plus invented in their rides , My friend has just shy of 100 thousands in his low rider and its beautiful!!!!!!

A lot of the cars and coffee events have low riders in them , I love all custome old school cars low riders, hot rods rat rods and my favorite old 60 and early 70s muscle cars !!!!!

Right on bro I have Familia in Santa Ann and it is a shame when this shit happens especially when there was no one getting out of line , most of the time these car meets are extremely chill I know I go to alot of them here in west Covina at the home depot and othe places , im a muscle car enthusiasts but I love me some old school low riders , because I grew up in anaheim watching these cars and great shows, cops need to learn respect especially when there's no problemos going on , God bless the cruisers !!!!!!!

These people have spent serious money and time and love and dedication to make these cars works of art that are amazing mechanical wonders. This is a legit car show!! Love it!! They need to let these people show off what they can do!

You can with a permit. That's why event planners and planning is so important. It allows for the businesses and surrounding neighborhoods to better prepare for extra traffic of vehicles and people. Closing off roads, safety stations, food & beverage, portapotties, enough prior announcement to the event to let people know what to expect, etc We have the right to peaceful assembly, as stated in the Bill of Rights. But I get what you are saying, you made some really good points. I pray this world and, especially our great country, can get back on track soon. It's good to see people wanting to get together again!

Also, just from watching the video, I don't think it would be necessary to close a street unless vendors set up "shop". I think a law enforcement officer could direct traffic in such event--perhaps one willing to "moonlight"??? (If I was a cop I would be proud to direct traffic for such an event!)

I think law enforcement needs to practice better PR with the Lowriding community/automotive enthusiasts. With cars like these, I think it's safe to assume no one is going to do anything too stupid. Events like these could be real money makers or perhaps an economic boom to the community its held in.
Also the Chicano community is doing an awesome job of keeping AMERICAN automotive history alive.
As a an Anglo, if I had a Lowrider car like one of these, I would fly the Mexican flag with an American flag on it out of respect--I recognize that this movement is "theirs".

From what I can gather, just from this video, I doubt the heavy police presence is all that necessary. Maybe a few police just keeping an eye on things, but I'll admit that getting everyone to disperse was a little overkill, along with the chopper in the air....That is not good "PR", and it can build unnecessary resentment.
