Breathtaking! I didn't mind the noise, it gave it a raw experience of being in a helicopter. My heart was pounding just watching it, I can't imagine how exhilarating it was in real life!
If you visit Hawaii again, I highly recommend taking a helicopter tour of Kauai. They have tours inside Waimea Canyon and up close to some spectacular waterfalls.
What a wonderful gift you have given us! Most of us will never get to experience this first-hand, but this is an excellent almost-trip. Thank you for posting : )

So…at the time of 5:40, was that rock side of the mountain from volcano eruption? I can see the smoke is coming out and half of trees on top are yellow, does that mean it is actually burning underneath???
The worst noise polluters on the Big Island, flying low over residential areas with little regard for folks who live on the ground below -- dawn to dusk, everyday.

Indeed, spectacular is the word for these views.
*A bit of helicopter noise is fine, but it was a bit disturbing to listen to it from start to end.

$550 for 2 hours of flight. It might sounds pricy but totally worth it :)
