The indigenous American Indians have been mercilessly genocided by the white colonialists. This is a historical curse on the Yankees until eternity.
It's not Tibet. But a Tibetan region in Yunnan Province. BTW, Tibetan is a cultural concept. There're multiple provinces and regions being Tibetan in China, including the Tibetan Plateau, Sichuan Province, Yunnan Province, Gansu Province, Qinghai Province, & Xinjiang.

This proves Tibetans are free to live anywhere in China, and they have a happy healthy traditional Tibetan lifestyle, unlike the native Americans in USA who are living in misery lost of their traditional identity, being oppressed and discriminated by the dominately white European colonial regime.

The Tibetan granny's name is 次仁卓玛 or Tsering Dolma, where 次仁/Tsering means longevity and Dolma means a goddess

I've known a lot of Tibetans and as far as I know majority of Tibetan want to thank the government because they are pulled from desperate poverty due to the good policy and intensive investment of the government into the region. Nowadays there are paved road in almost every village in Tibet, and I know USA still has 40% of road which is unpaved in its rural area... So face the truth and come to Tibet to talk to local people, it will open a new world to you.

I just had a very tough day and feeling overwhelmed, thanks for this video that brings some inner peace back. This is not the most scenery village but it’s raw beauty, the way you present and the music bring peace and happiness to me. There is no easy solution to a lot of problem in life, but at lease for now, I am living in a peaceful moment. Thank you.

This is a far cry from 1996 when I was there. Concrete paved roads were unheard of at that time. Visiting a distant village meant a Yak and cart ride! I'm fortunate to revisit my Asian roots through your videos and winsome narration. Definitely will try to follow your journeys through China as a bucket list item after finding my family roots in Guangdong.
It seems their prayers were answered. They live a tranquil way of life!

Surprised to see that the Tibetan Village is still here in the present day.
I learned briefly about their culture in General Studies class back in elementary school, which was Zhonghua minzu (中華民族).
Zhonghua Minzu basically means Chinese People. All 56 ethnicities belong to Zhonghua Minzu. There's no such thing as race or racial distinction in the Chinese mentality.
Zhonghua Minzu implies diversity.

It's been almost ten years since I've visited Tibet. The images from these videos bring back great memories of the mountainous scenery and the yaks. The two of you look unaffected by the high altitude. I needed to take medication for the thin air in the area. Keep up these great videos!
Wei was hit by altitude sickness right after this bike ride ended and was wheezing on an oxygen tank in the car but wouldn’t let me put it in the video 🤣🤣🤣

You turn all prayer wheels in clockwise direction at the beginning of the video. In the movie "A Blossom of Love in Gannan", the doctor turns the hand wheel in clockwise direction as well. Good to aware of Tibetan culture.

Oké, at the moment I think it’s a bit hard to get a visa to enter China. when the restrictions are lifted Lhasa does have an international airports and there are many magnificent hotels and resorts where you could stay!

Now, the reason why there's so many of them around and funny looking as you've commented is that they were once humans like you and they were circling the prayer wheels the "wrong" way and that's why when reincarnated they've become, YAKS! Coolest yak ever, licking its nose clean with its tongue😛. Walking around prayer wheels and chanting mantras daily is a great way to concentrate and practice a kind and compassionate mind. Therefore, we develop ourselves and share our well wishes to all beings in this world.
Generally clockwise around stupa and player wheel are for Buddhism, and anti-clockwise was for local Bon culture belief but less prayers followed now. 🙏
