Everything can be seen within metro Cebu . Imagine only half an hour to get to these places. metro cebu has mountains , beaches. skyscrapers, cultural and old places.

I like Cebu City more than Manila because its very accessible to almost everything. The cool mountain havens of Busay, the world-class beach resorts of Mactan and the vibrant and cosmopolitan city that are all short distance away from each other. You dont have to drive long hrs just to enjoy different sceneries/environment.

It's a long month celebration and hope you could experience Filipino Festival. There is a lot of activities specially the Indak Indak sa Kadalanan on Aug 20 and Pamulak Festival on Aug 21. U should try also street foods in famous Roxas Night Market. There is a lot of food u can choose to eat. And Davao is known for Durian fruit and Philippine Eagle... Please come to Davao Mergim. I grew up in Cebu and have been to Manila maybe 2-3 times in my life mainly to apply for tourist visas etc. I couldn’t stay in Manila for more than a day as it was too dirty and congested for my liking. Its good they now have BGC and Rockwell so it’s eased out some of the burden. The airport is still a turn off and so I never really dreamed of moving to Manila. While Cebu is lovely, its good for tourists as it’s got “Beach, City & Mountains” package. So much potential remains. But career opportunities still better in Manila. Lived in Singapore in 2008 and moved to Melbourne 2013. I am missing Cebu so much now and plan to take my partner and son with me soon! It will be a new perspective. Thank you for your videos, I’ve now learnt more about my country in the past few days than in the 16 years being away. Looking forward to your Boracay, El Nido and Siargao reactions. These are pretty much the well known tourist destinations. For more off the beaten tracks, try and reach out to Finn. He’s so good with less known islands most locals have not even explored! Well done and thanks Mergim! Also, you must get a scuba diving license. It would be a sin to be in the Phils and not explore the underwater treasure! We compete with the worlds best! 🤿

Each city has its own vibe. I visited Baguio City, Angeles City, Dagupan City, Tagaytay City, Lucena City, Naga City, Legazpi, Dumaguete, Cebu City, Iloilo City, Boracay, Palawan, and Puerto Galera in my youth but they've changed drastically over time as modernization and infrastructure development came about. The same phenomenon would be happening in Davao City, Cagayan de Oro, and other cities I haven't gone to. If you intend to explore lots of different places in the Philippines, take the time to stay about a month in each province or region with a major city that you can use as a base to explore the surrounding areas. Learn what the locals and the expats who've settled there like and what things those places are famous for.

Thé reason I like Cebu (not only being a Cebuana) as it has everything. mountains, beaches, falls, modern or old types of places, foods, less traffic in a small island. Then most of all it is central hob to all islands of the Philippines. By the way that dilapidated pyramid was due the typhoon. You should go back to IT park as it’s where the Sugbo Mercado Garden bloc as where you can find all types of food from different food stands in the evening. Just inquire from anybody.

As a tourist, you get so much more out of your time and money in Cebu than Manila. Enrichments in a diverse sources of pleasurable experiences and adventures thru marine natural wonders; thru rare mystical beauty of natural land formations, vegetations, natural springs and unique waterfall characters; thru interactions with locals for cultural experiences in old traditional values and character traits of Filipinos; and thru exposing taste buds to a variety of new senses. COST and BENEFIT ANALYSIS for a TOURIST, hands-down, CEBU WINS!!! Any other agenda for visiting the Philippines, THE ENTIRE COUNTRY OFFERS SO MUCH MORE THAT EVERY ONE CAN EXPERIENCE AND TAKE AWAY SOMETHING UNFORGETABLE.

Simple answer, no, but i do agree the islands around Cebu is amazing...
Long Answer is that you have not explored enough of Luzon to see how amazing it is - for an example, 1000 islands is just a bus ride away, so is la union (be it a lot longer), you also have the islands off quezon province then again you have Camarines Norte. Depending on how far you want to travel you have Baguio, Vigan City, Pagudpud, Donsol (whale sharks)... I have not been, but i have only heard good things about Batanes..
So many places to visit even outside of Luzon and Cebu...
The Philippines has been blessed and one day i will retire in the PI

I don’t live in PH, but my parents are both born and raised in Cebu. I’ve stayed in Cebu ug nindot kaayo. Cebu is better because it still has a city-country-beach life balance. It may not have as many celebrities pero if you’re from Manila and go to Cebu, they’re more likely to accept you than from Cebu and staying in Manila. In Cebu, most people speak Bisaya, English, and a good amount of Tagalog. In Manila, they don’t speak Bisaya unless they’ve lived in the Visayas. Daghan ang tourist attractions sa Cebu, kasi most tourists visit the Cebu beaches. I’ve met Americans, Japanese, and a lot of Korean tourists while going whale-shark swimming. Definitely recommend you visit the malls para sa free aircon haha

No question that's why Cebu is intittled "the Queen city of the south" when it comes to personality mas gusto KO taga Cebu, north and south just distance no need to ride or drive long hours, less traffic, not that crowded, not over populated, some squatters area are way more better than manila ......we are from Davao but I love Cebu honestly speaking, the people are more discipline, more alive, more fun.✌️❤️

I really do hope that Cebu is better than Manila and would surpass it in the future. Why? So that people in the Visayas and Mindanao would instead go to Cebu to find work rather than in Manila. That way Manila would be decongested since majority of people going there looking for work and a better life are from the Visayas and Mindanao.

Cebu is insane! From mountains, beaches, islands, lakes, waterfalls, and modern city. The only problem that cebu need to solve or add is:
    TRAFFIC
    TRAFFICCC
    ROADS
    MORE ROADS
    TRAIN
    BIGGER ROADS
    TRAINS
    MORE BIGGER ROADS
    ROADSSSSS
    Over all: The Traffic!!!
