My favourite is without doubt the cessna tricycle (182?) with wheel pants giving it everything he could including tail strikes 5:50. Great video. Enjoyed every second thankyou 😃
Was ZK-FDO ever an Australian aircraft at one time and by chance carried over the "FDO" from a VH- registry? My first flight as a 11yr old was in a Cessna 180 in 1959 then registered VH-FDG at Carnarvon Western Australia. The "G" was chosen to represent the "Gascoyne" region. It was later changed to VH-FDO with the "G" repainted into an "O". If it is, then I have a photograph of it in its then RFDS paint scheme.
Helio H295. Heaviest airplane in the competition. Shortest landing, just don't cut the power too soon or it will drop as in the first landing. Safest airplane in regular use in remote areas.
Nice to see a Pawnee in the bunch. those planes have worked very hard in the ag industry over the years and still pull a lot of banners to this day.

Damn, that 182… haha, pushing it to the limit.
I'm not the greatest at identifying airplanes, but man! You can sure tell a 185 by the whine it makes!
Helio's have slots...that's a big plus in these situations!
Amazing airplanes!
Saved the best for last!
Guessing a sizeable headwind was available???
the Helio is bad ass
Totally agree with you, it was specially built as a STOL!
Ineke Mateman they don’t fly, they just levitate
Helio wins the prize.
That's it! I gotta dump this sleek, fast tricyle-gear airplane and get me something with Big Wheels. Nice job!

ZK-FDO is indeed ex VH-FDG / FDO. Imported into New Zealand June 1995.
Excuse my ignorance-but why is it called Healthy Bastards competition?
ZK-TCEs landings are aaawwweeessssooommmeeee. Excuse my ignorance but what make is that aircraft?

It would be a lot more impressive if they where doing it at full grose!
Yep, well didn't say what kind of headwind they had…...
20 knots head wind
Excuse me, H250. If it was an H295 it would have had the shortest takeoff and the shortest landing.
ZK markings? Where does this astonishing exhibition/contest take place?
MrCapi55 New Zealand
The best to the last one. I dont Know why have a plane 182 to competition.... Do Not do well.
