- A really special race on Memorial Day in the Great State of Indiana! We had speed all night... the dash draw is still my down fall. Was able to time in second fastest in Group B. This started us on the outside of the front row for our Heat Race. The top side was dominate all night. I picked up the heat Race victory and pulled a Number 7 in the Dash Re-Draw. Started 7th in the A Main and after a few Race Cautions worked my way up to 4th. A Solid Top 5 Finish for our Big Game Motorsports Team. Thanks to my great crew and amazing fans for the support! I trucked the Merchandise Trailer 13 hours to our Race Shop here in Windom, Minnisota! Ready for the weekend at Grand Forks, North Dakota "River Cities Speedway" and Brandon, South Dakota "Husets Speedway"
Really hard racing in the a main great stuff. David next dash draw use the other hand and see if your luck changes. Thanks

When you grab the pill and start to pull it out drop it and pick any other pill. You have everything else going well.
OMG! Freakin' 7 again....Wow the dust was crazy... the track blew off and took a ton of rubber. You must have had a pretty hard tire on the rr. I cannot believe how much rubber got laid down, everybody must have put on a super hard tire on the right because there were no flat tires due to wear. I guess the writing was on the wall after the heat races and seeing how much rubber was laid down just in the heats alone. Did you have to break into that "special" cupboard where you guys hide the special occasion tires.
Alright DG, no screwing around anymore. It's time to try the 2 different color shoes or you can do my favorite thing to get the bad juju off of you.... you have to do 3 right hand circles with you left had on your head... you really should do it in the car but if you don't want to use the car, you could do it up in the trailer lounge or somewhere that know one can see you. It's just 5 seconds out of your day.... it couldn't hurt, your just wasting time running around in the middle of the pack when you should be putting an ass-whoopin' on them boys every night. The camera footage was really good even with the complete dust bowl you guys were running in. The Go-Pro camera's are pretty incredible. They take awesome video and they can take a beating. I would like to see the rear suspension working along with getting a bird cage in the shot... watching the car, and how it floats on the torsion bars. I think it would be cool to see the car lay over on the left rear, take a set and haul ass the other way. Just throwin' one out there. I have a buddy of mine that I was telling him the anatomy of a sprint car and he thought I was crazy as I was trying to get him to believe me. When I told him sprint cars run live rear axles..... he wouldn't believe me. I was almost beating my head against the wall trying to get him to understand a single rear brake rotor.... OMG DG it was pain full. The last thing I tried to explain to him "crank fire" FMR..... he was lost and couldn't wrap his head around anything. I drew him a picture of a quickchange rear end and how the direct drive works....................Finally, I just gave up and told him that he just needs to come with me to the races and buy a pit pass so I can show him how it all comes together to create the baddest of all short track cars. IMHO of course.
My god, he thought there was no way, NO WAY, to have a live rear axle.......... F!@! listen to me dipshit! LOL

Stay focused David, your finishing solid every race. The pill draw luck will change, maybe instead of a big mix just reach in and grab first chip, shit can't hurt at this point. As far as video, subs etc, i think you need a fresh look, maybe use some race highlights for opening, got to keep it new looking. Also try multiple angles n fuse them for flow, more pit stuff, don't show setups but stuff like u telling crew what the car feels like, you know stuff that may seem mundane but its a race story. U most likely gonna need a dedicated cameraman. Dont let ur content get stagnant, most importantly keep pushing forward, it will all come. Go DGR,.........

What I like to see is the behind the scenes stuff, like the carwash, hotels, restaurants, working on the car, setup changes, etc. What its like to be an outlaw on the road. We already see the racing on dirtvision so I dont think you need to show as much of the racing. my 2 cents

@DGR you ask the question "What can I do to i crease viewer participation and increase subscribers" Here is my two bits; with NASCAR imploding under the weight of driver misbevaiors this is a great time to increase views and subscribers. People watch your channel becUse they love sprint cars and they love you fir your uncomlicated honesty. Here are some things that might help you;
1) Decrease the length of your channel intro. Cut it in half.
2) Add a closer to every vlog something like "If I could redo the last race I would......"
Don't be afraid of admitt there might have been a better way of drawing the pill for the dash, or I wish I would have not thrown the slider on that lap or at that end of the track. I think this might improve your channel traffic and increase subscriptions....
Solid runs like you string together night after night is what wins championships, Keep it up david.
I think the behind the scenes content is more interesting as someone else mentioned. I'll always watch your videos but they've been all the same thing basically for a while. Intro, then some in car footage and Johnny narrating the races followed by the wrap up. Maybe talk about the cars and set up. Talk about some technical stuff like dialing down the horsepower after qualifying at higher HP (and how/why).
Hang in there! Fingers crossed for the next draws. You guys ARE amazing. If you want to grow on UA-cam, I feel like a drone is the way to do it. The more coverage of your car from all angles will bring us into your experience. Wall mounted cameras as well, capture some wrecks where others don't, you're the one. People, including me, want to experience this with YOU more than the other racer. The more footage you can offer that no one else can will put you at the top for views. David, the UA-cam race is a bigger one than the Outlaws, I perceive. I won't lie, I like Sheldon, but I love your UA-cam channel. To win a race with the Outlaws is huge, but to win on UA-cam is another race. I suggest, focus on the race you really want to win. People, including me, will love you no matter which you choose. You are great at both and will soon be the best at one. Either way, just know that you have the love of fans everywhere. (Don't listen to voices that indicate otherwise).
Man your luck in the dash draws is at least consistent. But those 7’s and 8’s suck. Keep up the battling back. Besides dirt vision your my guy for sprint car vids.

I know I watched a video one time of how to become a bigger youtubber. and one thing they said was to use tags in your videos. like for u it would be world of outlaws whatever the track is. sprint car david gravel ummm idk what else but I know with those tags your video will show up if ppl look up whatever u have tagged. just trying to help ya out I love the videos man!
Really enjoy your videos. I would enjoy seeing more of the crew. Maybe more of stuff they do during a night at the track or what they do to get ready for an event.

Good videos, and they highlight the weekend very well. Unfortunately they all tend to be very similar. Much of it ive already seen on DirtVision except the in-car I find the Swindell Speedlabs videos on track issues, car setup and feedback to be very cool. Sheldon is doing a great job with cinematics but obviously they are more produced and less of a Vlog.
I feel we are trying to be consistent. Us overlaying the go pro with dirtvision is unique. speedlab has a full time video guy and editor. Sheldons deal is a very high end movie style video and will only do 10 in a whole year when we do that in a month nearly. My goal is to get a camera man at every event and be more like speedlab to get more of the crew action. Thanks for the feedback!

I'm agreeing with some other comments already here, love the tech and mechanical stuff regarding the setup of the sprint for each track. Also enjoy watching the crew prepare/tear down. Is there any chance the crew could explain all of the specifics of the motor/drivetrain/suspension, and how difficult it is to make repairs during the race?
the problem is I don't have a camera man and we all have jobs throughout the night. We can do technical things when we're off during the week tho!

That was a great run this weekend. You and the team did a great job. I'd be interested in hearing more about the track conditions and some more behind the scenes work of getting the car ready for the race.
