It's going to be unfortunate if his career ends with us before he starts again. Because his last game pitched was that World Series game where they kinda just had to forfeit the game and he ended up giving up 5 homers
24 straight curveballs will be one of my favorite baseball moments for the rest of my life tbh. Looked forward to the future with him as our ace or #2 guy, injuries blow man
yeah we're pretty used to our best pitchers being on the injured list lol, example: Justin Verlander, Luis Garcia, Hunter Brown, Christian Javier, Jp France, and McCullers
As an Astros fan I think we can all say we miss lance. what a stud when he isn't getting railed by his body. poor kid I hope to see him this year at least once...
Look up Darren Dreifort, who basically had the same career as McCullers with the Dodgers in the 90s and early 00s before he finally realized his body wasn't going to let him throw another pitch at age 33.
When an athlete’s body breaks down, especially prematurely, it is heartbreaking. It’s completely out of their control, no matter how badly he loves the game or how earnest and hardworking they are to be the best they can be. I wouldn’t wish it on my worst enemy. As a non-athlete I can’t imagine how helpless these guys must feel!
It’s a pretty devastating contract for us. That money could be going to much needed upgrades for the past 2 seasons. I feel bad for him, but ultimately I want the team to win and paying a guy for 2 years to hangout is tough
As a HUGE Astros fan, Mccullers has been my favorite pitcher when he’s healthy, he was great in 2021 until his injury, I bought a 2022 gold jersey of his for $200
Saw his workout video from a couple of days ago. He looked good. Throwing curves and sliders and in great shape. I think the Astros are just going to be cautious.
As an Astros fan it’s hard to hate on him considering the 27 straight curveballs against the Yankees in 2017 and the fact he literally threw his arm out to get us to the ALCS in 2021 he also had an rbi in game 7 of the WS in 2017
Lance is wild guy. I saw him working at his coffee shop inside Toyota center during a rockets game. All the money in the world and the dude was making lattes.
What an awesome picture this man is he's just had so many health issues with his arm it's sad just very sad hopefully somehow someway he can come back but I would say if he doesn't come back this year it's pretty much over for him
I don’t know but I found interesting that pitchers got less money than batters for some reason, people and media makes more echo and talk about it more when a batter gets a big contract than when a pitches gets a big contract, isn’t that interesting huh
@@bronsonbamnallen1633and there is 100% more risk towards pitcher contracts with the amount of injuries we’ve seen towards pitchers over the last couple years.
If Lance is serious about staying in baseball he should think about learning a knuckleball. It's pretty clear he's never going to throw another curveball that's for sure. He could have a long career if he mastered it. I don't think anybody else is throwing a true knuckleball any more. Didn't Phil Niekro pitch to near 50?
Dodgers fan here, I got into it with lance once through DMS A family member passed away in 2019 it hurt that he wasn't able to watch the dodgers win one I went off on lance about stealing the championship, and he challenged me to roll in a MMA challenge. I never took him up on it, but I did explain why I had hate.. he felt bad and offered that if the dodgers and they made the world series he would hook me up with a ball and gear. He's a good dude and I pray he gets better
165 innings is not even worth noting. Bob Gibson pitched as follows: 1961: 211.1 innings 1962: 233.2 innings 1963: 254.2 innings 1964: 287.1 innings 1968: 304 2/3 innings. These modern pitchers are “worthless and weak.” Not smart enough to stay healthy.
karma for showing zero remorse on his team cheating their way to a championship. I'd never wish a career ending injury on anyone...but I certainly won't lose any sleep over it!
Very refreshing video since for a solid year now this guy changed over night and became so sarcastic and negative in so many vids but this one was solid
Funny how his body betrayed him after he got his 5yr. 85 million contract. Just saying! They should release him and eat the rest of his contract just like Jose Abrau and chalk it up to a bad deal and make room for an up and coming talent with a sturdier body.
That's a shitty thing to say. Then again, it's exactly what I'd expect from some bitch with an anime character as his pic. Sad, bitter, little men love the internet lol.
as an astros fan , tbh i don’t remember the last time he’s played but dude is a beast when healthy.
It's going to be unfortunate if his career ends with us before he starts again. Because his last game pitched was that World Series game where they kinda just had to forfeit the game and he ended up giving up 5 homers
World Series when he got lit tf up by Phillies
Now he didn't reach the highs, but maybe you can say he's a kazmir or josh Johnson. Just take what you get
Now we have Forrest whitley lance Jr. Jr. Lol 😆
And when was that day. I say stros should get rid of him , he's always hurt .
24 straight curveballs will be one of my favorite baseball moments for the rest of my life tbh. Looked forward to the future with him as our ace or #2 guy, injuries blow man

They called him “HEB Star” because he showed up in more commercials for HEB grocery store than he actually pitched.
As an Astros fan I think we can all say we miss lance. what a stud when he isn't getting railed by his body. poor kid I hope to see him this year at least once...
As an astros fan here, we'll see him alright but unfortunately just in HEB commercials 🥲
He’s my favorite pitcher when he’s healthy

Hadn't heard of Dreifort before. Super interesting!

McCullers Jr's curveball would make Bert Blyleven take notice. That's beautiful and plainly wicked at the same time. Godspeed on his return.
theres gonna be a lot of "ceased to exist" puns when dylan cease stops playing
Cease and desist
As an Astros fan, i dont expect him to pitch this year. If he does great, but i find it unlikely. Dude has only pitched like 8 times in 3 years.
He prolly needs to go to the bullpen or closer role
Thanks for the content I love the video keep it up. Have a great one
Maybe, instead of calling him a “disappointment,” we should call him a “tragedy.” He has all that talent and his body just can’t keep up.
As a HUGE Astros fan, Mccullers has been my favorite pitcher when he’s healthy, he was great in 2021 until his injury, I bought a 2022 gold jersey of his for $200

How does that translate to oh, good luck?
Love these videos can’t wait for baseball season
Don’t forget, Mccullers holds the Astros record for most K’s in a postseason game by a rookie, and he had an RBI in the world series
Remaining: Two years at 17m each for his age 31 and 32 seasons. No trade clause.
Braves fan - he is our version of Mike Sorka so much talent just injures hurt him

As a rangers fan who doesn’t really pay attention to other teams I just thought the astros traded him or he walk in FA 😂😂
Dude every single year I am completely confused why we still have this guy on our roster. It's insane
From throwing heaters to potentially getting back… damn
we have paid this man every single year for a decade for literally no reason
24 straight knucklecurves to close out Game 7 of the 2017 ALCS. Suck it, Yankee fans!
How could iTalk Studios tell that I've been rewatching the 2022 postseason highlights?
LMJ was a monster when he was healthy. I honestly feel bad for the guy. He makes good HEB commercials, though, so there's that.
I don’t know but I found interesting that pitchers got less money than batters for some reason, people and media makes more echo and talk about it more when a batter gets a big contract than when a pitches gets a big contract, isn’t that interesting huh
pitchers only pitch every 5 days. They deserve 1/5 the pay of a hitter.

He will be back this year. I personally think he should make the move to the pen but the astros and lance seem to disagree
His name banner on that invite should read. Lance McCullers on Astros roster instead of "pitcher"
He kind of looks like tiago alves when hes interviewing the good burger guy.
His dad also had health problems and had to retire early. Honestly thats what he should do and take a office job with the astros
I honestly forgot about him and I like the Astros lmao
I wondered what happened to him. He seemed promising then kinda dropped off the face of the earth. Thanks for the update.
Can’t wait until the Super Bowl is over so baseball starts
He’s currently throwing off a mound and is expected to be back early in the season
astros fan, and ive always been a lance jr believer, but its starting to look really bad for us, like he fleeced us out of 85 mil
I’m rooting for Lance. I hope he can bounce back.
His dad had a brief career. Great start, injured. Failed comeback. It's pretty much the same story.
his elbow is made of string cheese and it is heartbreaking
5th place redsox
aw man
Pepperidge Farm remembers
When you willingly ignore your body, this is what happens. The body didn't fail him, he failed the body
Dude was throwing 90 mph curveballs...when he was on, he was nasty.
I said it at the time they signed him, but this was a bad contract. He was plagued with injuries before the 2021 injury.
What's with this "Top comment is gay" trend
They’re coming out.
Glad he signed early
lol Scott boras
The astros are my favorite cheaters in all of professional sports....
U mad
Have you pitched since 2017 bunny boy?

If Jacoby Ellsbury had been a pitcher...
One of the most overrated players in the last twenty years who clearly also acted like he didn’t wanna be on the field.
By the time Lance McCullers is able to pitch again, he will be a Sr.
i would not be shocked if he never pitches again he collected all that money and sells coffee now
I guess talking all that shit back in 2017 is coming back to bite him in the ass 😂
LMJ literally gave his arm for Houston. He doesn’t deserve the hate for his ill fortunes health issues
And he also still has more World Series RBIs than Shohei Ohtani 😅
Italky! How do you feel about an eagles chiefs Super Bowl also FIRST RAHH
I hope Bane shows up and does his thing
a Hall of Fame worthy career it seems. Writers keep lowering the standards.
The Dodgers will take him!!
How do you get injured while injured? It's like getting fired on your day off 🤷♂️
Why sign a guy to a 5 year 85 million dollar contract if he already had injury history. 🤣now he hasn’t touched a baseball for us in forever
Maybe he shouldve went to college for a year or 2 to build up his arm
Shame, the guy was so talented.
I can’t bring myself to feel bad for an Astros player
You really think ppl care about who you feel for non factor
he's a pitcher so he had no part in the cheating scandal
He is never ready to play...
Come on lance you are the only Astro I like

How hard did Gibson throw?
This is God's way of punishing them for constantly cheating to win 🤣🤣🤣
duda was a beast but being hurt can kill the best of them get off the astros hate wagon kid

he’s eh when healthy anyway
Yeah those where the drafts when Astros tanked to manipulate the draft causing the draft rules to be changed even before they found trash cans!
McCullers talked a lot of shit after he was part of the cheating Astros. Guy came off as a douche so I have a hard time feeling bad for him
Has more World Series rbis than ohtani cry harder

What did bro do?
He’s a nice guy…
@iTalk You're really gonna delete my comment calling this guy a bitch after he says it couldn't have happened to a more deserving player? Grow a pair.
He's also a cheater never admitted his team cheated in 2017
Better than ohtani cru
Cheater. Karma got him !!
Better than ohtani
Really dislike when he has videos about the Astros
It's a change for once, don't worry. He'll make a video about the dodgers and Ohtani soon enough
@ I’m an Astros fan.. lmfao
So luhnow didnt have his scouts give him a percentage chance of his injury. Wonder if they got fired?
