This negative part of our supposedly friendly rivalry in athletics has spilled over, possibly permanently tainting the FAMU/BCU relationship. It is incumbent upon leadership to correct this budding challenge, that may not end well. Resolution is in the laps of leadership of both institutions.
Tainting the relationship? Both bands have calmed way down after the incident with Famu band destroying one of their own life. And don’t get upset. The way fam had been very very disrespectful to cookman band all these years. Famu Trying to play over cookman while in the stands. Saying derogatory things during their performance about us so don’t cry now that the shoe is on the other foot and you all got embarrassed. Now go on with that
@@victoriabostick2935 I have often heard that "playing the dozens" is part of our culture. There are some things that we must reevaluate and determine whether many things we do are helping us or hurting us. Time will tell whether we want to build our community or destroy our community. Have you ever noticed that much violence is preceded by words that often lead to violent destruction?
@@jmanhope1745 I understand that in everyday life but you going too far with the bands competing. Thats a different level it adds an element of fun. Just a competition that is not meant to harm anyone. Well at least on cookmans end.
@@victoriabostick2935 it takes one bad apple on either side to cause irreparable damage to needed positive relationships in our community. We will look back realizing what appeared to be honest fun has hindered cooperative progress in our community. By the way, can bands compete, musically & marching, without including referencing to unfortunate misfortunes of the other band?
