    I am new to these type of games and picked this up on sale. I started it, and had absolutely no clue what to do. So, I came across your video while searching for some help, and you did an excellent job explaining the game, could have maybe talked about general movement and the controls in the right lower side for those ppl like me who are clueless, but I'll figure it out now that I know more about the game. My husband was laughing at me (in a nice way, and I was laughing to)cuz I was getting so frustrated trying to start this game, and my ppl where starving cuz I forgot to pause the game while trying to learn. Gonna give it another try now and we'll see how it goes. Thanks for explaining it in a way that I think most ppl would understand!!

    Very good video my dude. You just saved me. I was smiling like an idiot the whole way through, realizing "It's still pause and showing you can queue stuff up" which is my favorite thing in a lot of sim games. The jobs board, the scheduling, it's all great. Really amazing video, I just downloaded it and am gonna play after the last time I did was a few months ago, so this was a great refresher. Kudos brother! That's worth a subscribe in my book!

    In the beginning you can use the "overview" tab to free up all the frozen resources across the map.

    • @bears_n_beans

      Yes, agreed, but I get more accomplishment and satisfaction doing it while I am surveying the map...but good call 🤓👍

    Thanks for the vid, I have restarted playing and trying to catch up with all the mid and end game changes. Usually I do a quick start by setting my initial storage zone where things get spawned in and then create a quick barn structure this helps get things off the ground quickly. I then add a small pen so my animals don't become wolf / fox meals. Thanks again for your tips, it helps to know I am goin gin the right direction.

    Imagine if they made this game an MMO like Pax Dei or something. Where you literally just control one villager but you can wander and find a new community to become part of or go trade. That would be so sick.

      The people behind _Foxhole_ are making a game similar to what you’re describing right now called _Anvil_ . Check it out. They were able to pull off a very successful iteration of a large scale permanent war mmo game with Foxhole.

    Can you show where/how to build the underground storage? Also, how can I stop people from eating where they get food, rather than sitting at a table?

    • @bears_n_beans
      @bears_n_beans  8 місяців тому +1

      I plan on releasing more follow-up videos to help with stuff like building stability and underground cellars.
      Unfortunately, the villagers are going to eat when and where they like...if you schedule time for it, they have a higher likelihood of using the tables (especially in the morning).

  • @eachitndye9808
    @eachitndye9808 10 місяців тому +3

    I had better luck setting schedule to anything vs work n leisure. Kept morale a lot higher and almost all of the villagers got and kept the joyful boost. But in fairness it was post 10 villagers.

    • @bears_n_beans
      @bears_n_beans  10 місяців тому

      In the larger village scenarios, then I would do as you did and recommend setting to anything. However, "forcing" leisure in small groups builds the bonds among them to make the end-game larger group dynamics much easier. Good call!

    24:30 Never forget to set Stockpile Priority to High. If you want it filled. VERY HIGH is saved for Shelving, and Cellars. 👍👍🤴⭐

    • @bears_n_beans
      @bears_n_beans  7 місяців тому +1

      I typically set everything to VERY HIGH because it is the only spot that item goes....I will use HIGH setting for back-ups or overflows. You're right if you don't want to take the time to individually check the items for that pile lol which is understandable 🤓👍

    • @OdeeOz
      @OdeeOz 7 місяців тому

      Problem with Stockpiles at Very High, is they detract from using Preservation Shelves for Cellars and more.

    I wasn't going to buy this game. But it's so blatantly a clone of rimworld, only in a new setting with all kinds of cool stuff added and tons of stuff to yet come. I ended up buying it, and like an tard I bought it the day after the sale ended. Not that the sale was a very big one, it was only 5 euro off
