Hope you guys enjoy, please leave any questions in the comments, I'll be happy to answer them! Till then, be lucky and hope you guys'n gals are well!! ☺️ Oh... and let me know if you wanna see the film I mentioned about a dovetail alinement jig, cause I'll get on with the edit...? Cheers, Ben x
Wow ,that tool cabinet…is the tops That what i love about woodworking ,ive just just watched another Top tool chest video from From The English Woodworker with his Clinching made Tool Chest another Masterpiece on the other part of the spectrum .Thanks to you both.
No spitting as there's no sawdust on the floor lol brings back memories, brilliant Ben. Wow all those spray guns. Inside your drawers are like mine lol. I like your messy???? workshop especially your fine tuning storage cupboard. You've got some really top notch gear. Enjoyed the shop tour. Tony
Haha Its nice to actually read someone being nice about that for a change, I get some dickheads go off on one cause of the tools.. What they dont know is I dont have any children I know of, confirmed bachelor 4 years now (women are 2 much like men these days) and my workshop is my solace from all thats wrong with all that and the world. Ive done may days of tools that need setting after every few cuts etc fuck that... Peeps just dont think, be prepped for that here mate, some real odd balls online!
Just came across this. Love the video man. Workshop organization is a constant battle in my world. When I'm chasing a deadline, and trying get a job out, our shop turns into a complete sh#t show! Scrap and crap everywhere, looks like a lumber pile exploded, every horizontal surface is covered with parts, mistakes, and tools, and the scrap bins are overflowing with mistakes. Like you said, I kinda feed off the insanity and power through! Best part is your comment early on about how having all the tools/machines helps, but isn't the end all. I couldnt agree more. Most people say that the nucleus/hub, etc., of a workshop is the table saw. I say it's YOU, the woodworker, maker, whatever. It's your brain, passion, soul and hands that makes things, not the tools. 🤘
Hi North Road Woodwork, sorry for the late reply. Man I'm glad to hear your bussy! I'm dead in the water... Very true that, its funny how some get so wrapped up in the tools, I do get a lot of narky comments like "yeah anyone with 10k's worth of tools could do that" and the likes, they so miss the point! Hope 2021 stays good for you man! Kind regards, Ben.
No worries! Thanks for taking the time. Sorry to hear you are slowed down. I really hope that changes. Look forward to seeing some of your videos. Stay well. Cheers from Maine.
I’ve only been woodworking for a year or so, so I should keep my opines to myself I reckon. I don’t want to sound like an idiot, but I have learned more about shop design and how to avoid encumbrances from this video than any of the 100’s of shop tours I have ever watched. Thank you so much. Subbed.
No, thank you! Receiving a compliment like that makes it worth making the vids! I watched the vid again to remind myself, I was like omg this is so bad, audio was a shocker too! 😂Hope you had a nice Christmass and new year!
...do skip to 2022 😂 I'm kidding. Very nice of you to say Micheal thank you! 🍻🍻🍻

Hello my friend. You have a nice woodworking workshop. I watched a workshop tour in autumn. You have a really professional place. Thank you for sharing. See you all the time. Big greetings. Yours truly. +1 like.
Thank you Graham I appreciate the compliment mate! I will be, unless something tragic happens, I’m dry on content at the mo cause some dickhead drove into my car so haven’t been at the shop, till today.
Great video and tour (and excellent editing too). Plenty of solid advice I’d agree with. I’ve no idea why you’re only on 4.5K subscribers but I’m off now to catch up on the rest of your vids!
Amazing the amount of places you can establish to place things, I appreciate that you as a professional woodworker have set up a workshop within the space you’ve got & made it your business headquarters that works. Cheers Cobber 🍻🍻👍👍👍👍
Mostly true, all-though I did visit a workshop with about 20 or so employees and the place was spotless but busy - then one I went was an absolute mess that i dont know how anyone works in...
Thank you! The hand tools needed more love you could say, like a temple not that I'm religious but I will pray to my hand tools haha. Hope you're well, hope you're good, cheers, Ben.
Heck of a good video, I enjoyed everything about it. I only do very small projects due to my disabilities so small cheap tools keep me happy, I like semi decent hand tools and consumables though. I’m sixty and it’s only since I was forced into semi retirement so I’m never going to be professional or build a heavy hardwood table. Great I’d love to see anything you’ve filmed, I like your straight way of talking. Definitely subscribed.
Thank you Mark, thank you for the complement too! Im not great with words or good at getting things said correctly. I'm dyslexic and have another along the similar lines, dyspraxia - what makes sense in my head and what comes out my mouth are usually different, but either way both still makes sense to me, if that makes sense but takes a better mind to understand me/what Ive said mostly. Its kinda odd talking to a microphone too... I appreciate you saying that, its good feedback and something I'm hearing more and more so I will work on that! PS, never say never - working wood is infectious 🙂
That double doored cabinet is a work of art! I know people love to say "Drawers and cupboards are where tools go to die" and then stand there in a small village tool museum. But I've got stuff on the wall and it's constantly getting covered in dust and that's not good when you've just painted or finished something and you have to tip toe out of the room so you don't make clouds of dust. :)
Cheers Chris 😊 I’ve heard peeps say that about cupboards but never drawers, was kinda what I was trying to say.. I had cupboards and anything at the back was lost for ever lol
Brilliant shop tour, Ben. Good to see the layout, storage solutions and tools used on a professional level. And never seen so many festools in one place either 😜. Where was that festool dado tool thingy, didnt see it with the other 2 track saws.
Thank you mate, you kinda did see it it’s the bigger of the two saws just didn’t have the attachment in, something s like I thought better to leave out as may of been taken as bragging 🤷🏻♂️
All I can say is I really hope you have a bloody huge padlock on that front door! Probably a moat and portcullis would be a better option to keep those pesky bloody villagers out 😂
Hope you guys enjoy, please leave any questions in the comments, I'll be happy to answer them!
Till then, be lucky and hope you guys'n gals are well!! ☺️ Oh... and let me know if you wanna see the film I mentioned about a dovetail alinement jig, cause I'll get on with the edit...? Cheers, Ben x
Always enjoy your banter and your work. I’d like to see the dovetail jig video 👌
Thank you, appreciate you saying that! 😊 I’ll get on that edit then 👍 Hope you’re well and save! 🤗

Great space and fab tools Ben
Thank you Paul! Glade you enjoyed it. Hope youre well and safe!
I'm off to build some drawers and a hand tool cabinet. :-) The MX5 joke tickled me. Hope you can keep this content coming. I love 'em all.

Thank you Eddy! Getting Subs is like pulling teeth here, I dont really get it, on IG I have over 30K and FB 11K - pretty tough here.
Thanks for sharing, always enjoy your videos!
Cheers Peter, nice to hear thank you! Hope youre well!

Cheers Cobber 🍻🍻👍👍👍👍
Thanks buddy, it’s kinda an organic space I’m always tweaking it, but I could do with a bigger shop said no maker ever 😂
A clean workshop is a productive one. A workshop that is spotless is one that has fuck all To do.
Mostly true, all-though I did visit a workshop with about 20 or so employees and the place was spotless but busy - then one I went was an absolute mess that i dont know how anyone works in...
Very nice setup. Love the tool cabinet 👍

Great tour, great tip about the drawers. I am definitely looking to make some draws as I am fed up of how dust does get in every where.
Thanks mate 😊 Hope youre well?
@@HewAndAwe I'm good thanks, hope everything is good with you.
You are doing an excellent workmanship and the layout in the place is great, I hope you will come to better places on this platform

Killer video!

Well done.
Thank you David - hope youre well! Kind regards,
Ben.
Did anybody else hear angels singing when that hand tool cabinet opened, or was it just me?
You did hear angels 😆
I secretly wanted one of the doors to open and there to be a dartboard in it :)
For me it was either Jonny Black or Jesus...
All I can say is I really hope you have a bloody huge padlock on that front door! Probably a moat and portcullis would be a better option to keep those pesky bloody villagers out 😂
...wont stop a pikey! 😂
Hmmm on a technicallity doesn't qualify for the #AussieWorkshops2020 hashtag... but a very interesting honourable mention 😁
Cheers buddy, I have lived in OZ for a couple of years if that helps 😆
