Don't hate em but don't love em. Finished well in sport shot handicap tournaments over the summer on em. Definitely see some difference with em. Alot more weird leaves quite a few pocket hits leaving 5-7 but at the same time some splits are easier to pick up because of the way they fall and move.
This is why bowling is a dying sport. All these changes and regulations required to get on the tour and the conditions in which they have to bowl on with not having balls that are over 2 years old to a 25 second shot clock violation for each roll and now string pins. Disgusting 🤮
String pins take virtually all possible pin action out the equation....its 0 doubt it makes the sport less entertaining to watch
too much intro blah blah blah. 5:47 wasted.
Those are string pins?
Pretty obviously yes..
I will never buy the strings. A way to save money while it screws the game.
Nope not for me. I’m sorry I can’t watch this.
looks like troup pulled off the win in the first match due to string carry ... what a frikkin travesty
did the PBA conduct any kind of player surveys or anything after the tournament to get an idea of how the players felt about the string pins?
If they did, they would just do the opposite. Sometimes, I think they are bound and determined to end this sport. More so, the USBC than the PBA.
53:10 string on 1 pin changed its path. Don't know if it would've knocked over 7 pin, but you can definitely see string jumping and holding up its momentum.
Players had/will have the opportunity to provide feedback, Neil Stremmel (PBA Director of Rules & Equipment) was on site, and players could bring up possible pinfall issues for review/research. Neil discussed this, and other factors about the weekend, on each of the Main Feed livestreams on Saturday's qualifying.
Bottom line… String pins = way less pin action. Less messengers. Lower scores.
The scores are almost identical on legal string pins vs free fall. Cite some sources that say otherwise
this is absolute nonsense. why are they trying so hard to push string pins? joke
Physics says "strings" influence the pins. Somebody smarter than me PLEASE show the calculations
You don't need equations to prove that the strings knock pins over that would have otherwise remained standing... all you need are functioning eyeballs. Hell, one eye would be sufficient.
PbaBowling, That was a fantastic upload of the Stepladder Finals of the Pba Family Ford of Bluffton/Yergy's BBQ/EZ Bowl Central Open. Also, both E.J. Tackett and Kyle Troup are 2 of the best Bowlers on the Pba Tour.
E
PBA sold out to Bowlero. String pins is a terrible idea.
string pin suck
Keep it up haters. Just giving another reason why bowling is going to fail because of negative comments. The tackett family forked out a lot of money and put more money into the prize fund. Wish i was still bowling competition I would br honored to bowl this event with string pins
