"Stained Class" (1978) is a step above "Sad Wings of Destiny" (1976), pretty much plotting the future of metal from that point forward. Not only one of the best heavy metal albums of all time, "Stained Class" is one of the best pieces of music & lyrics of the 20th Century.

This entire album is nothing but bangers all the way through. There are easily 4 songs that would have been perfectly suited on Painkiller.
