    The "suspenders" are often referred to as "sheet stays", and neat idea employing them for the boot bag storage. Looked like the clothes in the baskets were just folded. Roll everything in tight rolls, and you can get a lot more in the baskets ;)

    • @skywaystohighways
      @skywaystohighways  Рік тому

      @retnav92 Yes, I remember they were for sheets but I couldn't remember the name, so thanks for that! Gary and I are always debating on that subject. Whether it's baskets or suitcases, I'm a "folder" and he's a "roller"! Lol! I've tried it his way and still think my way works better. 😆 Happy New year and thanks for watching our videos!

    You will love the solo stove. If it’s the Ranger then cut your wood in half so it doesn’t get above the top ring. It will burn smoke free then.

      Thanks @Philip Weidner Already in love with it! Fits perfectly in the galley. Gary bought a small, portable chainsaw and just finished cutting logs in half, for tonight’s fire! Thanks for checking out our video!

      @Heather Hikes You will love Acádia! We’re going to have to plan another trip, soon. Unfortunately, we got rained out for most of our time there. We had one beautifully sunny day, before torrential downpours and high winds. Hopefully, you’ll have better weather! Thanks for supporting our channel and safe travels!

    Hi guys,,,,,enjoyed the video very much. Just stumbled across your channel and Hiker trailers. Love both!!! Years ago my wife and I used to own a Runaway camper that we fitted out and dragged around New England and Canada. Had a fantastic time. Now back in the market for a small trailer/camper. The Hiker is definitely high on the list. Thanks for posting and passing on your info and experiences. We live just a stones through from Patuckaway and Mount A. So it is nice to see vids of home turf. Thanks and well done. Cheers!!! SnJ.

      @steve Robinson Hey there neighbor! Sorry for the delayed reply. We’ve been skyways for a while! Thanks so much for checking out our channel! So glad you’re enjoying our videos. Hikers are a lot of fun! It’s been a year and no regrets! We watched a ton of videos and they were so helpful when we were making our decision. We’re kinda paying it forward. Pawtuckaway and Aggie are definitely our favorite spots in the area. Haven’t made it to Canada in the HT yet, but it’s definitely on the list. Thanks again and safe travels!

    I enjoy your videos! Thanks for posting them. What size curtain rod did you go with on the curtains? and do you think a similiar system would work for the doors?

    • @skywaystohighways

      @Zeroorez Thanks so much! Glad you’re enjoying our videos! The curtain rods are 37” in length and 2” in diameter. I definitely think you could do something like this for the doors. Perhaps you can try one long curtain rod and use it for both window and door! Let me know how it works out for you, if you do!

    Hi! I'm planning to order a Hiker (Highway Deluxe) for next season. Do you regret not getting doors on the cubbies? Does your stuff fall out while driving?

    • @skywaystohighways
      @skywaystohighways  Рік тому

      @robynbrown4668 Hi there! Congratulations! Wouldn’t consider it a regret, but we probably would add it to our build if we had a do-over. Items do have a tendency to fall out, but we rarely put anything other than jackets in there. So, it’s not really a big deal. I would recommend it if you’re planning to use it to store anything delicate.

      @@skywaystohighways Thank you for your reply. I have never owned a camper or towed anything. I'm not even sure what I'll put in those cubbies at this point. I do have another question.
      If I get the big 270 awning, will it be difficult for me to set up by myself? I'm just over 5 ft tall.
