Yep. I had actually managed to Stop myself from crying when Alexis told David she loved him right before she started walking him down the aisle.............................and then like 2 seconds later they start singing That and that's what broke me ='''''''')
randolph rivo yes! That wonderful moment where they say “I love you” (probably for the first time ever) to each other and then dance as a family in the barn. That was the song! So to have that followed by Simply the Best and then Patrick singing a Mariah song😭
Same. Especially seeing has Roland’s last line was they look like husband and wife but yet in season one he couldn’t see their town sign looked like a man and wife doing it from behind. 😂
David, so innocently and cheerfully thanking Patrick for gifting him the Happy Ending, was so hilarious that laughing was not enough for me. I actually had to stand up and laugh.
I get the impression that Noah is the kind of guy who is so present and attentive it gives people the impression that he is halfway in love with you. The miles of broken hearts and hopeful wishes must be truly impressive. 💔😢
I know that Noah Reid is straight, recently married to a lovely woman, and I wish him a lifetime of happiness. But damn..he made me believe that Patrick and David are soulmates. He (and Dan Levy) are a wonderful acting team. Serious chemistry.
Great episode! I love how Patrick handled the Happy Ending because technically, he blundered and knows it. My two favorite scenes regarding the Happy Ending are 1) David's "sharing" with Stevie how amazing it was without Patrick catching on and 2) not only how David put it in his wedding vows, but Patrick's snicker at the inside joke during the ceremony was perfect!!!!
I wish they would've done a quick wedding reception "montage" scene like of all of them dancing and drinking, etc. Since according to the kids they were up all night. Would've been a funny scene I think to wrap it up.
Agreed! It's one of the few reasons I wish the network had been able to do an hour-long finale episode. We could've gotten just a few more little grace note scenes of the family preparing, bantering, and celebrating together before it all wrapped up. :)
The might be the only complaint I had with S6 and the finale. They could've easily had an hour long finale and a wedding reception at maybe the lawn outside the motel or even at the Cafe would've been wonderful. I really wanted to bid a final adieu to Ronnie, Roland, Jocelyn, Bob, Ray; and see them bid their last goodbyes with the Rose'. Also, a small scene with David and Patrick inside their new abode...ughhh they could've covered so much! I truly feel we didn't get to say goodbye to the rest of the wonderful supporting cast, except for Twyla. Would've loved to see a last banter between Ronnie and Patrick, and everybody dancing together. Jeez yeah, a lot of missed opportunities
What I love most about how that scene plays out, is how Patrick's train of thought leads him to realize that it was partial his own fault lol. Gawd, I wish this show hadn't ended!

I think that the fact that there is no homophobia or bigotry in Schitt's Creek is wonderful and that is why it means so much to LGBTQ people and their allies. There never needed to be an angsty episode where people were commenting on David's Pan-sexuality, Patrick being Gay, Jake being Polyamerous (although I suspect that Jake is a Sexual Hedonist rather than poly) or Ronnie being a Lesbian. Everyone just accepts everyone for who they are and wouldn't that be a wonderful world to live in?
If my fiance went with a happy ending like David did, I would have to seriously re-think the situation. But, that's me... All in all, Patrick handled it.
I agree i would be devastated. I really wish David's "happy ending" on his wedding day was not put in. Some people on other threads found it funny, I did not. Maybe they had the right idea not to over think it.

@@tanyaporter8455 Totally agree!!! Unless we had an open relationship, Which I can't see myself in, accepting a happy ending from someone else is cheating. That scene ruined the finale for me. Some people found the humor in it but I could not.

Roland should of got a huge, lift ya off the ground hug from Johnny.. he helped them so much..and was just being real.. n not fake like their former rich friends.. I wish they would of had a draw or something for a fan or two to attend the final taping of the wedding!! would of been awesome! P.S. I watched the finale twice in a row. lol
I didnt love the happy ending massage- i didnt want to see them in an open relationship but it was just a misunderstanding & Patrick’s response was so cute
Maybe. I, personally, still wish it wasn't that way in real life. But, it does seem that a majority of people do put sex in a separate box from love. Like, once you are in love, I think sex should be included with all other loyalties... not set apart like it's still an individual thing.
@2freeIvX not really... In my fantasy of having a gay relationship, it has always been monogamous and intense and like a traditional hetero committed relationship. But Dan has explained here that their relationship is more open and sexual tendencies are not boxed. He is a pansexual in the show. It's OK in this show because the show format and it's sexual interpretation allows for that. Well this show is a stretch..they have a town which is very comfortable with David's sexuality.. that's not something we see IRL

Nah I’m sorry but if my significant other just let the masseuse give them a “happy ending” I’d call the wedding off. To me, it’s cheating. On the WEDDING DAY. David could have easily said no, and if the masseuse said it’s what Patrick paid for, I’d say that doesn’t sound like Patrick at all and that no, that kind of action is absolutely inappropriate and damaging to the relationship. I’m glad David and Patrick sorted it out well, but for me I’d be pissed.

He is puppy cute now but he will be another Jacky Gleason when he gets older though. Great cast all around.
I loved the episode and see their point but as a massage therapist, when shows have these massage experiences in the episodes it brings my profession down and makes people think that’s what I do.

Your sex life not defining loyalty is the definition of having an open relationship. David and Patrick did not have an open relationship. David offered Patrick seeing other men but Patrick refused. They even backed out of hooking up with Jake. Some people, myself included, saw David accepting a happy ending as cheating. And it being on his wedding day made it worse. I agree with Noah, I have no idea how I would have handled that if my future husband did that. The scene was pointless because David is not in a celibate relationship. It put a stain on the finale for me. I admire Daniel Levy greatly but he missed the Mark on this one. But still think Schitt's Creek is one of the best TV shows to ever be on TV and I will miss it.
@@jamieleeke14 Wait....I'm confused. You don't consider it cheating if there is no emotion or love involved? It's okay as long as you don't seek it out? You would never be in an open relationship but you think people put too much emotional weight on sex and consider sex make or break? Those are the views of a person in an open relationship. Your views are kinda all over the place. I unfortunately did not find David's happy ending funny at all. Patrick just came out, David is his first everything, Love, Sex partner. @@jamieleeke14 We clearly have different views on what constitutes cheating and that's okay. I value everyone's opinion; people don't have to agree with me. And of course I bring my personal views and experiences into everything. I think everyone does. Our experiences make us who we are for the most part. But I totally agree it's unfortunate that the happy ending scene ruined the finale for me. Not to try and sway your opinion but there is another conversation on this on another thread. Just another perspective if you are interested.
Agreed and this shows that no matter how devastated I was that the show was over, it was time to end it andit would have been like all thse other shows who had way too many seasonsans lost what made them so special
David thought Patrick wanted it for him. It was a misunderstanding and not something that would happen again. You can see with the Ken scene as well, that David's really NOT into Patrick dating another men. The point is that Patrick didn't blame him for it because sex isn't what their relationship is all about, it's deeper than that.
If there was another season, it would probably begin with David giving Patrick his own happy ending as a wedding present. And although Patrick would enjoy it, he'd also be a little weirded out.
Vinnie Rattolle Remembering that this is FICTION, surely David and Patrick have given each other far greater experiences than just a happy ending to a massage. And now I’m gonna go think about what they are.
I can't imagine he'd be weirded out, they're getting married and there have been many scenes of them spending the night in each other's beds. Pretty obvious they're not celibate!
The happy ending did not bother me at all. It's just a hand job people! Some straight people do even worse things on their bachelor/bachelorette parties 😂 Chill you prudes 😂
Allowing someone to give you a happy ending is not an issue of gay versus straight people. If a person wants to enjoy other people sexually don't be in a committed relationship or find a partner willing to be in an open relationship. Honestly, in the times we live in now marriage is an antiquated concept. I say be with a person until it stops working then walk away, no fuss, no muss. Binding yourself to someone legally is not necessary to be happy with them.
i wish i hadn't watched this one.. i don't agree about the happy ending that's a deal breaker for me... why would you let someone else have you on their wedding day :0(
@@nicolasnicolas2801 1. A happy ending is a hand job 2. HIV is transmitted only through certain bodily fluids 3. One man doesn't get HIV from another just because there's a lack of condom.
And David kept kissing Jake even after being in a committed relationship with Patrick
Not too many gays wear lipstick out in public!...goood for you Dan!!
Exactly! How many straight men have "fun" with a stripper or hooker at their Bachelor Party
i wish i hadn't watched this one.. i don't agree about the happy ending that's a deal breaker for me... why would you let someone else have you on their wedding day :0(
Ew David
Happy ending I DIDNT LIKE THAT. that was so much.
For young boys this is dangerous No condoms=HIV. Please take care yourself 🌈
@@nicolasnicolas2801 1. A happy ending is a hand job
2. HIV is transmitted only through certain bodily fluids
3. One man doesn't get HIV from another just because there's a lack of condom. There has to be a presence of the virus first
4. Sperm, even HIV infected sperm does not permeate the skin
5. David and Patrick were in a long term committed relationship. There was never any indication that either had sexual health issues.
What IS dangerous is spreading misinformation.
@@g00rb4u na dude. I have many friends HIV. Happy ending is sex after a masage. Condoms or nothing.
nicolas nicolas No dude, it’s a handjob
Happy ending is just a hand job.
The lack of disrespect for Patrick on his wedding day ruined Schitts Creek for me. David and Stevie smirking behind his back made me sick to my stomach.
Dan is poly omg
It’s a sitcom
Super irritating condescending background music.
