btw, this very steam train/ the set of it, went off to the middle east and never came back, probably scrapped. there is STILL one of its own kind in the UK, it's called the 2-8-0 austerity
@@thomastsangthomas1616 hahaha, british railways have been long gone, it's now national railway that's in charge. oh, and it's preserved by a railway society instead of the government
this very steam train is part of War department/ministry of supplies, (WD for short) and it is called an austerity 2-8-0, i'd wish they kept those and didnt throw them away into the middle east
Well, like you told me, one is well and truly persevered in the U.K. , also there are also at least eight other cousin-brothers or cousin-sisters who are like the WD Austerity 2-8-0. They are the WD Austerity 2-10-0, which three of them are now in U.K. , while others are staying around the other countries. Despite they have longer wheelbases, they have got the same traction force and a lighter axle load compared to the WD 2-8-0, as well as having interchangeable parts, making it able to travel on secondary lines.

@@Braveplantt I know there is still one of these type on British Railway, preserved and can haul passengers and freight.

@@legoisthebest001SCR sadly, only one Austerity 2-8-0 still exist, perhaps you were also counting the S160s as well
