The attentiveness system was flashing to get your attention for about 30 seconds, so its fair enough it disengaged itself while stopped after feeling no pressure from the driver. The FSD system after 5 strikes does not turn off forever and you never get it back again, you get 5 strikes and then it disables for a week before resetting back to 0 strikes and restoring FSD capability.
As well its pretty interesting to know that the visualization of the cars and lanes around you on the screen has nothing to do with the full self driving or control of the car. The car goes end to end in its AI processing now from camera in to control command out, meaning there can be discrepancies between what the car slows down for/avoids and what is displayed on the screen.
The precision maneuvers and driving in general will improve quite exponentially as the AI model is refined and the dataset is expanded so it's a bit of a waiting game as the different versions come out for now.
