This kind of offers will number millions upon million times in this country and received same shameful conditions. Just last week, I met a Ghanaian who has come to the country with Canadian business people who want to come and invest in our renewable energy. And your guess is as right as mine.

At times all pax already checked in, seated and waiting for crew to arrive from Manhattan to jfk , ita a shame ,even the ghana ground staffs in new york working for the airline are always drunk , ridiculous, in new uprk at a time we owe soo much we couldnt afford gate boarding, passengers are taken on a bus to the ramp to load . Ridiculous, i remember there was one lady that was arrested lost her green card and deported , cause she was doing up and down for about three months , free tripd , and immigration said the greed card is to stay in america and work not to travel like that so they took their green card and deport her. There were people who fly for free most on staff discount tickets , how could we have made it , i am sure even the restaurant couldn't even make it

Poor management was also a major contributor factor. In October 2001, I went to Ghana Airways office at cocoa house to purchase a ticket. The staff laughed at me and said I couldn’t buy tickets from the office and that I had to contact an agent. When I contacted the agent he told me that the airline was full from August 2001 to January 2002. The protocol officer of my employer bought the ticket for me and on the day of travel what I saw was shocking. The airline was two- thirds full. There were many empty seats meanwhile it was a problem to buy tickets

I know GH had DC9 and DC 10, I never heard of DC 11. Could anyone confirm there was DC 11 after 1999 when I left or before 1995 when I joined? Who was the MD involved( Quartey, Kwakwa, Kirby or who?)

The problem is not with leaders but we the citizens because if the citizens are not corrupt the leaders will also not be corrupt. Because every leader is selected from the citizens and the kind of seeds that has been sown in the citizens will reflect in their leaders. We need to to change our mindset and be patriot. Hmmm tribalism won't allow some Ghanaians to agree for development to spread throughout Ghana. Even common international airport in Kumasi was a big problem. Which would even help us on our transformation. How can we even get trains to operate through Accra to Kumasi to the northern regions than from Accra to Elibo or from Accra to Aflao. Ghanaians hate modernisation and transformation.

Oh yes. Ghana Airways was then a joke. Over 50% of cargoes were for air hostess, officials etc. You have to bribe to get items into the plane. Meanwhile Gh luggage was 45 kilos. Two times higher than other airlines. I predicted in 2002 taking a flight from Heathrow to Accra, that this Gh Airways will be sold. Yes it was.
Under which government will they prosecute these criminals? We still have a lot of them walking freely, no need for names to be mentioned
