De bruyne best midfielder? Remember Ronnie played RM for united..case closed?
Mainoo reminds me so much of POGBA
I see a similarity of Mainoo style of play with Carlos Dunga.
Much better when Rio’s in the studio
Yea he’s the only one that everyone respects enough to STFU and get a coherent opinion across
Definitely better than some random woman.
I’m with joey barton
@alm31 terrible take. The women on the platform know there stuff. Even tho they played the woman's game they grew up watching men's football
Fr
@@eugene1leroyNo they don't, but it's not about having knowledge about what is occurring. Anybody can do that, but the women's game is completely different and mentality is the most important aspect. I will say it, Women don't understand competitiveness like men. Nowadays with all the hugging pre match many men are disgraceful as well in today's game.
Big up Joel, Rio, Ste 💥
Nice to see Licha back he got a nice applause from the crowd he's been dearly missed ⭐
Was nice to see Rashy & Højlund get on the score sheet ⚽
Rashy was a threat throughout, he wasn't perfect there's still some aspects of his game he could've done better on (in context to his own high standards) but it was a good game from him. I was happy with & for him. I hope he builds from this going from game to game 🙂
That goal for Højlund will do him good, he's still got many gears to go up, the energy/aura he brings was missing in this team. Glad we have him ♥️
Mainoo like Højlund still has many gears to go up, still much more to come from him, he's learning with every game he plays, a great representative for young footballers.
KDB is an phenomenal player he's definitely going down as one of the best to play in the League. You can't compare players from different eras with differing playing styles/roles who all played in different teams with eachother. I just appreciate them all, a good player is a good player.
GGMU 🔴
All this made-up, created, fabricated nonsense about Marcus having no "intelligence" or "no footballing IQ" was probably started & created by some hipsters online & it spread like wildfire.
When the lie/agenda is more entertaining no one seems to care about the truth. Such agendas stick & thereafter it influences how people view said player. Then when the player goes through a tough time they seek confirmation bias by saying "I told you" etc.
It's lazy analysis, bottom of the barrel analysis by those who haven't got a clue about football, regurgitating what they've read or heard others say.
Also it's fashionable/trendy to hate on Marcus so that's were this myth/lie/misinformation/misconception comes from. Everything I said above uncannily also applies to Bruno Fernandes & many others players even non-Utd.
Makalele, Yaya Toure, Vieira, Keane Scholes Gerrard Lampard David Silva, Cesc, Essien, KDB, Rodri.... EPL is truly blessed with modfielders
U missed carrick apparently hes better than Gerrard 😂😂
What's most impressive about out Mainoo is he came up in the academy as a box to box 8 but is doing bits as a lone 6 in the first team.
Agree but I actually thought yesterday showed that he needs a 6 next to him and some proper midfield set up
De Bruyne is class, gotta admit he has surpassed the kind of midfielders we had at Utd in Fergie days. Probably Cantona is in the same league. Few rival players have had this effect on me.
Mainoo is the definition of composure
The new heartbeat of the team
😂😂😂
Another overhyped talent. Give it 2years
Fans just need to chill on the lad. He was great against Wigan and poor against Spurs. He has talent but is along way from a PL starter. @@dealz5197
Martinez playing out with Mainoo is going to be an interesting vertical relationship.

It's crazy to think Eth had to use over 20 defensive combinations after signing 2 new goalkeepers, give that man a Bell's
I’m not a Man City supporter but that assist KDB put through was the best assist I think I’ve ever seen . The man’s vision and touch is unnatural
We should have bought Trippier at rightback when he was available for 12 million from athletico madrid and also James Ward Prowse in the summer instead of useless Amrabat or Mount. Our pathetic set piece problem would have been solved also.
That's the most normal assist from kdb. Last season at 3-2 vs newcastle at St James Park, He produced a pass from heaven by split the defence with SIX PLAYERS in front of him by passing it throught the defender's legs from about 30 yards. Haland's reaction after after bernado scored from that pass really summed up everyone's reaction.
Kdb = Longshot, left foot, right foot, unbelievable pass, vision
To be honest he is not the level of lampard Gerrard Scholes, de bruyne is Zidane level
How can you guys said Gerrard or lampard or Scholes better when they 3 played together England squad and their best result is quarter final
You could say that those England midfielders' were too redundant and not complementary enough of each other to make a good complete midfield but it's true, none of them are even close to De Bruyne's level.
How are you judging everything a player does only off of international competition results which is dependent on a good coach (which England never had) and a good draw.
Furthermore, they did better than KDB ever did with his Belgium golden generation. So stop talking rubbish you clown
Pep last year called scholes the best that’s all you need to know I’ll take his opinion over yours buddy
For club Zidane was very average and inconsistent too people only think of him for France or never actually watched him I swear
Zidane was average for club, lmao gettat here@@sloppygoo
Rashford is part of the reason we aren't doing well as he stops all our attacks. He gets the ball and just stops dead with it then passes sidewards or runs head down towards the players or runs off the pitch. His control is terrible as well even for Hojlunds goal when brino put Rashford through he couldn't control it
Really enjoyed that - subbed
Mainoo reminds me of moussa dembele play style wise , let’s hope he gets a strong as him and we’re sorted in that position for the next 10 years.
I wouldn't go that far. Moussa was a beast, using his strength and powerful running to get by players and also good feet.
Mainoo doesn't have that, he's actually quite a weak runner and doesn't seem that athletic, even if he's still young. Mainoo just has the ability to make everything slow down and make the pass that needs to be made, often the simple pass. He often makes the game look like it should be run at his pace, dictating the game, which is a very good quality.
So I personally wouldn't say he's similar to dembele in play style simply due to how dembele used his strength and skill as his weapons, mainoo doesn't.
@@JK_360_ hence “ let’s hope he gets as strong “ you absolute sausage gobbler !

Fantastic vid lads. Very North West Tonight vibez 😅
Becks is soooo underrated, his crosses were pin point accuracy right on a plate for his teammates. Plus long range shots and free kicks. Unbelievable player and hard work ethic. 👍
Becks showed how good he was when he signed for Real Madrid, played as central midfielder in a new League and didn't look like a passenger around the likes of Zidane and Ronaldo. Top player !
I think Beckham gets massively overlooked due to being a pretty boy and a bit of a celeb, a lot of opposition fans hated him.
Cool intro, good job
In relation to the Rashford celebration. It was because of the social media abuse he got for commenting on Sancho's insta post and people questioning his loyalty and commitment. He shut them up, if he didn't score he would have been abused. Replied on twitter recently confirming it.
Doesn't matter why he done it it's pathetic what ever the reason!!
Nice talk about Anthony Gordon’s work rate but it’s ironic that City’s first goal is massively due to him. Didn’t track Walker. Worth mentioning that

Oh, I've missed that intro🔥
Great show guys.....
@Rio if Høljund go to play the 1:2 for Rashford, how will he (Høljund) get the goals... Yes have missed some chances but we all know he not getting the deliveries... I remembered what you said Fergie told you guy about getting the ball to RVP. Same needs to happen is we want to see Højlund's numbers go up.... Even the his goal against Spurs was not an assistant from Rashford, he was him loosing the ball and fortunately it fell for Høljund
8:14 How does Joel get special treatment at Arsenal after saying the manager should leave
This is at OT. He doesn't go to Arsenal games. Just gets free tickets from Rio for OT. Literally got caught on a lie detector saying United's his second team !!

Sounds like amateur hour to me. I hate this intro.
KDB's assist stats were wasted for a few years with Jesus and Sterling consistently threw away chance after chance that KDB handed to them on a plate!
Since when do you rate a CM on goals and assists?
Just commented to the Paddock regarding Uniteds attacks. With alot more players back and more time in the training field to practice we might see better combinations starting to develop in february. At the moment everything is going thru Bruno and it's not enough. Shaw back might give Rashford a boost with someone taking up abit more space out wide on that side and it even opens up the right side more if defenders gets pulled over to the left. Let's just hope this happens.
Yes agreed.
I've cut ten hag a lot of slack but now with everybody back and predominantly one game a weak, the playing out from the back, the combinations HAVE to improve.
Playing out via the back should improve now that onana will actually have passing option to Martinez, who in turn can pass into the midfield. I want to see more of Amad on the right and building a combination with Dalot. He is a ball playing winger which is what we need rather than just runners in behind.
Bruno is finished, one season wonder. He's not good enough to play the no.10 at the highest level. Poor set-pieces, poor dribbling, poor passing (1 out of 5 accuracy), poor decision making. He's a bad bad footballer and the sooner he is dropped the better we will be at dominating games because he spends half the time giving the ball away.
My question is why are ppl so patient with shaw and his injuries but are not with Martial when he has a better injury record
Big up Steve
How I missed the intro song
KDB Number 1. need not say any else
Top 8 midfielders in PL history (no order):
Gerrard, Scholes, Keane, Vieira, Lampard, De Bruyne, David Silva, Yaya
This list is indisputable.
Silva can't be included. All the rest played both at least as deep as 8, and/or as systems evolved, further up as 10, all through the centre. Silva never played deep and played much of his career out wide as well. The rest of the list is spot on.
Ozil?
@@InstantInstinct10111 lol. No. Ozil doesn't lace their boots. What you talking about 😂
@@tooshlongnot true, in what way has kevin de bruyne played deeper than david silva? they literally both played the 8/10s together for pep exactly the same on their respective sides. the game changed and allowed him to play higher- he’s still in that list 100%.
@@tdzzzzzzzzzz.22 City no longer play with an out and out 10. 2 staggered 8s Infront of Rodri. Just generally. If you think Silva sat deeper than 10 (ever) you can't have watched him. Sorry. Factually incorrect
37:08 If Beckham played kdb role he would be up there, wait, I thought Beckham played for the greatest coach that ever lived
YES...but it wasnt an era of 10s...it was era of two strikers (4:4:2) and the two needed to be supplied mostly from the flanks while the midfielders just control the game. With the 4:3:3..A 10 was introduced to supply the wingers and a lone striker. And a DM was also introduced to cover the 10..Becks would be a perfect 10 in the modern football.
what? even if becks matches kdbs passing range as an all timer, which he doesnt, kdb is an all timer ball carrier of the ball and ball striker, becks is at best bruno fernandes profile, hell never be able to carry a ball like kdb
Rio says Hojlund needs a lead striker like welbeck and chicorito had but look where them two ended up, never lead united themselves
KDB is great, but the competition he has in midfield is poor. In the 00s, you had Veira, Keane, Scholes, Gerrard, Essien, Makelele, Lampard, Fabregas, Alonso, Giggs, Beckham etc. It's so much easier to stand out in this era. Plus, there's no such thing as the greatest PL midfielder. All were different.
De Bruyne stands out in any generation. He has the most assists in a PL season ever. The fastest to get to 50 assists ever and the fastest to get to 100 ever. The league is so much more fast paced, there are more games and higher intensity than ever. Talented players like Pogba, Di Maria, Ozil couldn't hack it the way he's done. Other midfielders' performance have nothing to do with him getting 20 assists. That's like saying Messi and Ronaldo didn't have other competition as R9, Zidane and Ronaldinho had so that undervalues their performance.
@@dichiewosu1719 It's more fast paced, but the quality of individual football players has massively declined. They make up for it by being more athletic nowadays. Also, the fact that you named Pogba shows how the football talent isn't as good as it was before. Ozil and Di Maria are good, but not elite. I named around 11 elite midfielders all in their primes battling it out. You couldn't name one De Bruyne battles with on a weekly basis. Again, KDB is incredible, but to say he's the greatest unanimously is ridiculous.
Messi and Ronaldo's era (post 2012) was definitely weaker than the 00s. It doesn't take away from their greatness though.
@@AJ-nd4nk That's my point. The fact that talents with such ability could not hack it shows how demanding it is right now. I'm not Saying Pogba equates to KDB or any EPL great. I'm saying such a clearly talented who could not deliver consistently makes you understand how difficult KDB delivering week in week out for 8 years really is. Also, you just said the competition is weaker but it doesn't take away from Messi and Ronaldo's greatness. I agree with you that competition for KDB in the EPL is weak. I'm just saying it shouldn't take away from his greatness too. For e.g He now has more assists than Gerard in almost 300 games less. That's has nothing to do with other midfielders in his time. That's his output vs the output of the other midfielders and he's in a more demanding era. He fulfills the athleticism the game requires and individual brilliance too.
@@dichiewosu1719KDB benefits from modern football being system focussed and his role in the system is to play the final ball.
@@sloppygoo What modern football? KDB would have been still brilliant even back in the day. It's like saying cr7 or messi wouldn't be where they are IF IF IF they played 10 years earlier than they did. Doesn't make sense.
KDB is a living legend
He (mainoo) reminds me of kante, not ability or stamina but his simplicity and calmness

Great chat about spurs. Lasted about 1 minutes sane old tripe

How have united not fired the setpiece coache/coaches. This club needs to be more ruthless.
We’ve been top 3 worst set piece team for the past 3 to 4 seasons.
I’m with you 100%! It doesn’t help tho that our players that would put their head on the line to clear the ball - Licha, Maguire, Casemiro and a couple others have all been out. We’re left with Varane and Evan’s and they can’t cover 4 of the opposition. Asides from those two were basically left with a box full of players scared to head the ball
When they started talking about pies Joel looked confused 😂😂😂😂😂
Manchester United will never find it until the mentality and players suit the club.
Players we haven't replaced
De Gea - Onana?
Evra - Shaw?
Rio - Verane
Vidic - Martinez
Gary Neville - wan bissaka
Giggs - Radford
Scholes - Fernandez
Carrick - mainoo
Nani - Sancho
Rooney - Hojilund
Ronaldo - ???
The one thing that made united a force was that they were UNITED we at least on that pitch, even with 8 defenders against arsenal, so if that isn't there then we are relying on pure talent.. which we are lacking!

I’m a United fan but KDB is easily top 3 midfielders in prem history
His #1 but doesn't have enough unanimous achievements to shut up the people who don't believe it . I think Gerrard is #2 now and I'm a man united fan btw . Not ability wise because Scholes for me is the most gifted prem midfielder ever. But effectiveness and overall midfield output from a player . 1 kdb 2 Gerrard 3 Scholes
@@chadb1806how can Gerard be 2nd in the effective and output list if he never won the premier league lol. It’s an oxymoron
@sloppygoo it's how people look at what's good. Now I won't give someone who won little a prem a lot of credit but if you search up his individual awards it's really good . Meaning it's only because he was in such an average Liverpool team for most his career that he barely had premier leagues ( team awards ) city and united could have won premier leagues without Scholes and kdb im sure
@@chadb1806 if you go on pure ability as a midfield my top five in order from 1st down is Scholes, yaya,Kdb,Gerrard, silva

What beckham could do with a football was just breath taking I’ve never seen rangers and accuracy quite like his in todays game Beckham would be making the same passes as KDB with his eyes closed
I think aerial balls they are similar , alongside messi as well. But where for me kdb is an all timer in passing is the long range passes from the ground. It's one think to curve the ball in the air but to curve the ball on the ground from 30/40 yards and split defences from long distances and reach your player with that kind of accuracy is what put kdb number 1. The ground has much more resistance or force, so you need a crazy lazer sharpe accuracy to put the perfect power and technique to do that so well. Raheem Sterling and Jesus robbed kdb of some of the greatest through balls you'd ever see .
they might not activate martials extension because theyre trying to reduce his wages
Was mainoo similar to Cesc fabregas when he burst on to the scene Im a bit young to remember the impact he had at that age
No, fabregas was better. He is very underrated
fabregas was WAY better. hes one of the best youngsters ever in the prem
I’ve always said that the way in which the 99’ CL final ended overshadowed the fact that Beckham was the MoM by a mile - and doing so “out of position”.
If that game had been a regular 2-1 game, that would’ve changed Beckham’s career and the way he was looked at as a player, and I really think, he would’ve transitioned to a central midfielder after that. He completely dictated that entire game
Hoodle is still the best I've ever seen ..Kevin is amazing but he runs like a coal miner whereas Hoople was a gazelle ..have we also forgotten about Eric and berkamp
I only watch when it's the holy trinity of rio, ste and Joel. This show has gone from one of my favourites to probably my favourite. Wish they were more regular though.
Im United till the end, but Gerrard had the baddest pile driving long range shots, him and Becks.
Why didn't we mention Vieira in the best Premier League midfielders list
This is how United should play. Hit a long diag for the wingers to run onto and play from there. They have to stretch the other team or they won't be able to play
Why no reaction bout El Classico?
Ste forces this “not arsed” behaviour.
i see the same attitude of being obsessed with being amazing in gordon as i saw in rice. rice when he came through at west ham as an average youth player and he left as one of the best defensive midfielders in the world all because of the desire to be the best. gordon has the same even though he looked average at everton he wanted to be great. you have to respect that desire
Yes he is. Next question.
KDB got his hairstyle from an anime called jujutsu kaisen there’s a character called nanami who has that trim
Ste since you like talking about coaching so much , may you please touch on a bit of Rooney class my dawg
I love Mainoo but has anyone noticed how he gets outjumped everytime in the box thts why I wouldn't start him with eriksen, bench eriksen cause his energy levels are 0
I'd put KDB at top 3 of the best prem midfielders, and Rodri at top 5.
Rio didn’t know what a United pie was ?😮
Steve G will always be the best cos he specializes in all attributes of a midfielder...Complete player👌
I think Mainoo is a ridiculous talent. Still young but the sky is the limit. One thing tho is his long passing isn’t as good as his short range passing
Liverpool and spurs was also a good game
HEY JOEL.....WHERES MY MINI PREMIER LEAGUE TROPHY 🏆????
The disregard for Ange when he came down south was embarrassing and shows how little the pundits actually know….. Rangers & Celtic jobs come with pressure the English will never understand
When's Rios pony tail reveal
The only thing stopping KDB being considered the best, is whether there is a certain little * next to a City’s titles 😏
CMON CITEHHH💙💙💙
No goes missing or gets injured in big games, looks world class against shite teams missing against good teams
I think recency bias is the only way anyone can put KDB ahead of Scholes and Gerrard. Gerrard was basically KDB but better, and did it in an infinitely worse team, while barely ever being injured. Scholes was just next level. Zero physical advantage over anyone, but still played them off the park. Won more than twice as many titles as KDB. Fully agree about Becks too. Gets underrated because he was too famous off the pitch.
Martial testimonial depends on Wes or O'shea? Bro De Gea didn't get one
Kdb is the best over the 10years hands down. And I’m a United fan
Did Licha nutmeg a Spurs player on the sideline? 😅
Why does Steve always onto stevie g for what did he do to him
Rio is speaking facts about his comparison with Beckham and KDB. Here's an equally great comparison, you put Trent in KDB' position he'd be just as good.
It's a foolish comparison. Trent already couldn't make it in midfield and got shifted to fullback in the academy. There's much less pressure on him in the fullback position, he's basically wide open any time he drifts forward and he gets acres of space to make his next pass.
@@TP-pq9xx lool now this is foolish! Saying Trent didn't make it as a midfielder in the academy is like saying KDB never made it at Chelsea as a midfielder! I'm sure you've seen Trent play in midfield for England
@@K_Truth7 Trent can play midfield against Malta and Macedonia, that's his level.
@@K_Truth7trent is better than becks but not as good as kdb, but thts just about their passing range. ball striking trent and kdb clears becks, but BALL CARRYING, bruh kdb is an all timer in that department in his own right, thts why bruno will never be close to kdb
I'm a life-long MUFC fan, and after what KBD pulled off over the weekend, I can say with my full chest, that Kevin De Bruyne is the best midfielder the EPL has ever seen. The ONLY asterisk on him is injuries. Everything else, he is top.
Beckham shooting ability isn’t even close to KDB lol
We had 14 world class midfielders in the prem: Ince, Keane, Vieira, Scholes, Lampard, Gerrard, Makelele, Carrick, Fabregas, Yaya, D Silva, Kante, KDB, Rodri
Mainoo is the closest thing I've see to Thiago of Bayern 🔥

LOL ??????? HOW CAN THEY SIDE BY SIDE BECKAM AND KDB :SSSSSS ARE WE SEEING THE PRESSURE AND TEMPO OF TODAYS GAME :SSSSSS PLEASEEE
Beckham can’t do what KDB does and KDB can’t do what Beckham did
@@sloppygoo That's the correct answer. People compare them all and try to pigeon hole then into one overall title, midfielder, but they're all exceptionally different in their own right.
It's criminal that you haven't had Ally McCoist on the show yet. Just saying
De Bruyne is a better big game player than any of his rivals save perhaps Gerrard, but he's more skilful than Gerrard.
Will Mainoo make the England squad 🤔
No
De Bruyne has not been a midfielddr fornthe majority of his career, he has basicallt played as a forward and when played as an actual midfielder hasnt produced the same level of quality consistently. Can people stop saying this rubbish?
KDB is clearrrrrrr
Tottenham controlled the ball but not the game. Both keepers had not much to do. Man U shared the first half and Tottenham the second half. Good advertising for the Premier League
