Not sure it matters at this point, but I didn't find the review because of the HoveAir X1 typo in the title. Or at least it didn't show up until today.
Great, in depth and reliable video review for the drone! Mine just arrived today and I was nervous about taking the battery out, couldn’t find a video anywhere that shows how until I found yours.
I really appreciate your feedback! It's always great to hear that my videos are helpful. That is why I put the effort into making them the way I do. They are never going to get crazy numbers like others but generally I pride myself for having some of the most complete one stop videos you can find on something.
Great presentation! Very through with details that others didn't cover. Mine arrives today and now I feel I have much better understanding of the entire system.
That is what I try for. Happy this was able to help you out and make you feel like you have a better understanding of things before you even take it out for its first flight.
hello, do you have any photos taken with Hover x1, because everywhere there are only videos. I am interested in the quality of the photos taken by the drone?
I can understand that I thought about that myself but just did not think they would look good in a video. If you are interested here are some sample photos I had taken when I was testing. Hope this helps: drive.google.com/drive/folders/1XUKaRG7XV-Nm_nh4fC176IqXQHjl04GU?usp=sharing
Can you confirm that in orbit mode it maintains level flight? I have seen videos where someone is on a hill top or by the sea where the drop or water does not seem to affect it. Thanks.
I have not tested on a hill with a large drop off or over water. The setup of this drone states it needs to see what is under it in order to maintain its flight path. So with the hill and drop off I could see that working, water is supposed to be avoided as it is reflective and may cause the drone to do some odd things. Other than that I can say it does maintain a level flight other wise.
Thank you. I think it would have been easy for the developers to program it to maintain level flight in orbit mode ignoring any data on what is under it. If they did, good. If not, I hope they do😊
Samsung s10. The phone were able to successfully pair up via Bluetooth but unable to actually activate the drone through the given app. Looks to me like Maybe a future app firmware update may fix this. Until then, I cannot recommend anyone running out and buying this drone just yet.
I just purchased this drone, and I like it ! But there are pros and cons. On the positive side, it does most of what it says it does; on the negative side, there is only a 10 or 12-minute battery life, even though it comes with two batteries, and it takes up to 4 hours to charge 1 battery. I see the advertising showing people getting followed on their bikes, I guess the bike ride is less than 10 minutes long. There is very limited instruction on how to really use it, I had to research UA-cam to find how to work things; with that being said, I give it a 7.5 out of 10 rating
35 minutes to charge a battery with the battery charger. Or 1 hour just plugging into the drone. I use a small power bank when out so pretty much always have full batteries with the two I have. Take a few shots or video captures, top battery up in 10 mins and it full when I'm in a different area to take different clips. I could film all day this way if needed.
Thank you for sharing your feedback with everyone. The only thing I would add to this is that the drone is made for quick shots here and there. It is not meant to film a full bike ride or walk. Just clips of the best parts, or something you know you want to capture.
@@unbornwriter The battery does take forever to recharge fully, I plug it in direct from electric wall circuit and it literally takes 4 hours to fully charge, so I have decided to purchase two more batteries, it cost about $40 on Amazon
@@BSmallssalonfindermagazine try another plug you attach the usb c cable into. It should not take 4 hours to charge. I charge 2 batteries with the charger supplied in the box in 1 hour 10 mins. If I don't use the fast charger supplied and plug directly into the drone then each battery takes 1 hour. These times are exactly what it says in the manual out of the box. It should not take 4 hours so something is not right there.
@@Wanderer001_ReviewsJust to add, your demos are very nice, you cover in some depth most of what we want to know and the production quality is very solid. Regarding UA-cam speak, just keep in mind that a bit of dead air is fine, you don't need to cut all of it out, just speak in slightly larger clusters of sentences and limit yourself on the number of cuts. Great work and good luck.
Haha, I guess I got a little carried away with the editing! But I'm glad you enjoyed the demos and found them helpful. I'll try to let the air breathe a bit more in my next videos, just like you suggested. Thanks for the tip and for watching!

Just bought it last week. I own multiple dji drones. This is a great drone
Thanks for sharing. I have never had a drone before but really wanted one. This does scratch that itch for me.
Hi! How is the quality of vertical mode? Coz I’m mainly posting on social media that’s the reason I’ll be getting this. Thanks

This is the most comprehensive video i have watched so far.
Great job and thumbs up.
Cheers.
Thanks, that is what I was going for.
I want to buy hover x1 so I watched a lot of reviews on youtube. This is one of the best review! Good job! 👍

I just purchased mine, and now still in transit. Can't wait...
Thanks, hopefully this video will help you hit the ground running when you get it.
Great review and guide. One thing: no problem with video in smart preview or manual mode on my android based phone.
There was an update that took care of that. I now can now see things on my phone for preview and manual mode now too.
Thinking about to buy it . Can we setup the videos or pictures in vertical format too ?
Yes, it can be done in the app.
Would the phone/Mic feature work with air pods or Bluetooth wireless phone mic??
It will, tested with my Bluetooth earbuds.

Skydio no longer sells to the consumer market. Plus, they tried to control DJI's market reach and failed in litigation.
Very detailed presentation! There's a lot of really lame basic reviews out there!

n the uk they will fall under the rules for sub 250 gram drones lol rid anybody
Similar rules in the US as well.
And totally unnecessary, what possible harm could this do to anyone or thing, it's basically a glorified selfie stick
