Chapeau!
Michael Haydn is one of the most joyful composers I know. At least a dozen of his symphonies are as good as his brother’s or Mozart’s. I wish someone would record his complete works.

The opening theme of horn is very similar to that of a movement of a piano sonata of Mozart. Possibly JM piece predates but .... these things happened sometimes involuntarily...... On a side note .... my apologies in advance to issue a request... Charles Mayer is a great compiser, yet almost completely overlooked. Someone is resurrecting piano studies and other pieces. But so far nobody dared play his concertos op 70 and op 89. Is this something you might consider? Imslp has gotten both ones although scores are missing percussions if I am not mistaken.... Regardless, JM is indeed a solid good composer even in these small compositions, never trivial or repetitive
Dear Pietro. I looked over the Mayer's scores Opp. 70 & 89 and unfortunately I am not be able to edit and perform since it needs a professional musician. I am not musician, just a music lover who already learnt about the basics to edit some sheet music (mainly classical due is often easy to edit). But Mayer's music is way too far from my currently level. Maybe I could try it but probably it would take me more than 1 or 2 years to understand how to make it properly. Romantic music, and especially piano concertos, are a heavy challenge! Big sorry...

Meanwhile a lot of his compositions is available on CD, e.g. the complete symphonies.
