As a metal fan I respect the aggressive hardcore music I just don’t understand why you would take the spotlight off the band leave the entire floor empty to watch one individual thrash dance or whatever it’s called rather than at a metal show when the whole floor is packed looking at the band head banging & circle pitting paying attention to the music
there is no "spectacle" at a hardcore gig, the band is as important as the people who are present, that's why. However, I'm a bit embarrassed for those people who learned the kick dancing shit by watching USA shows on the internet, I guess I'm a bit old we don't all socialise in the same way and maybe I'm being a gatekeeper.
