Great list! I love retro Cobra Commander but Big Boa is my number one this year. Because he was my first figure growing up. I'm surprised no one has done who had a better team this year Joe or Cobra
I couldn’t agree more on your QK commentary. This Is a figure that Is cool and likeable from the Sunbow era of the lore. Don’t know his story in comic lore. It’s been my decision to militarize his alternate look just to blend him in with the more militarized Joes. This Is one of my issues with Jinx, other than using a Lady Jaye buck with her head on it, I’m kinda locked into the look she comes in as only lol i really wish they’d have simplified the female sniper head and neck connection to work with other females with the OG neck and head pin set up. I’ve yet to see anyone mod that but wish they would so i can follow suit lol
Cool list. Great content. I was waiting for a normal ish Cobra Commander. The HiSs coco is impossible for me to get, and all the other versions weren't great at the scalpers' price point.

Clutch is my fav of the year but Duke and Scarlett were as well, it’s a tie for this three for my favs and Doc is right there in that most liked but Jinx is also but ranking them is tougher because imo Clutch, Duke, Scarlett and Recondo were amazing releases for me this yr.
@ hey hey I just picked up a reduced price Retro Cobra Commander, a 35 dollar Falcon and Quarrel set (I have one open at two boxed) but i plan to use those bucks on other head sculpts for one of the three extra sets I’ve got, i finally got the retro Stalker at 14 i waited for that one since it was a hard pass at full price, and a got two more retro cobra troopers at 19 each. It was a good month to collect some figs the only one I’m lacking now is iron grenadier still cause I missed the sale for those in Nov. Getting harder to justify renewing my Pulse membership. I know we’re going into 2025 and this period is a way off for 2025 figs but damn some of these walmart and amazon prices make it hard to renew the pulse thing lol and even the rush to preorder
That is a great list. My personal top 10 list has 7 of what you listed. I would put in Raptor, Retro Duke and Retro Scarlett. I would take out Gnawgahyde, OAM Cobra commander, and Wreckage. For me, there is no clear cut #1 (any given day I change my mind). But I like your choice of Retro Cobra Commander. He is a strong contender for me. I agree with Nemesis and TF Tripwire for disappointments. Even if the TF Tripwire might be faithful to the o-ring (don't know, never had it), it is such an ugly color scheme. I don't mind the sculpt for Nemesis. but he isn't fun to pose at all. Mine isn't floppy but he is super stiff. I just put him on a flight stand and never bother posing a day after I got him. I wanted to put Torch and Storm Shadow on my top 10 (almost made it) but their flaws are tough to overlook. My Torch is also floppy at the torso. I know people prefer the sculpted in glasses. But for me, if they made the previous 2 dreadnoks with removable glasses, it bothers me a little that he has the sculpted in glasses. I know they likely would have messed up the execution. But I wished they would have tried and saved this headsculpt for a retro version. The samurai skirt and super pulled down hood bother me for Storm Shadow but I still like him. 😆I also consider Retro Beachhead as an almost made it.
There were some touch choices to make with this list this year for sure. Thanks for checking it out ! I'll have a couple more lists coming before the end of the year.
