Family Movie Night: Breaking Away

I show the DVDs and VHS tapes that were left at my daughter’s house when she bought it. Question #1 Have you ever tried to have a family movie night with physical media and what was the reaction. Question #2 Have you ever tried to convince anyone not to throw away their physical media collection?

Free movie collection with house is a good deal. Family nights seems like a great idea. I have not urged people to keep physical media but i do often warn people that online digital copies can be taken away at amy point.

I love Breaking Away. I even liked the TV show. Someone I know lost about two hundred dollars worth of movies because he thought he bought them as digital copies. I reminded him why I still collect physical media. I don't think he was happy I said that. I'm a great fan of 3rd Rock From the Sun. Streaming services would pull it over and over again. I think it's behind a pay wall. I bought the entire series for 20 bucks.

Yeah I remembered a few scenes that I thought were cut out of my copy but I’m probably thinking of the show. Great examples of why it’s good to own physical copies. I never really thought it was possible to “own” anything digitally- there are too many things that can go wrong. Thanks Charles!
