    Nice video mate! I love it out there, however most of the time I camp in the national park and stay put for the weekend. I have seen the Turon in similar condition to that, it seems there is no middle ground with the Turon, it's either a raging torrent or a piss weak trickle...Pretty keen to to Upper Turon Rd to/from Sofala sometime soon. Thanks for the vid, great effort!

      I have heard that a couple times now and I’ve only been there twice. First time was all passable and not too deep but I definitely love the area, great spot to spend the weekend.

      I’m not surprised though, if it was anything like this! looked like it had some real power behind it!

    Hey buddy, as you can tell from my clips, we LOOOOOVE Turon National Park, we frequent it often but in all the years we’ve been going there, I’ve never seen the water like that - that’s just nuts mate !!!! The little Lux’y did it with ease mate, we’ll done. Great to see someone out there in the less than ‘ideal’ conditions, well done buddy 👍🇦🇺

    Well done mate. I did the drive from Turon Gates to Sofala on 11 Dec....the long way around...given the volume of water out there. An awesome spot. Another great video. 👍

    There are some very difficult shots specially where the places are flooded. You needed to cross them physically, then come back to the car, drive the car, then take the camera back, then going to the car again - massive job mate. These waterfall sort of sounds are very relaxing, now I am feeling sleepy.
    A personal request: can you make a video without talking? Only the nature and activities sound - there are examples on youtube from Aussie campers if you need to understand the concept. Cause the places you go, their serenity is sometimes dope

      Great for ASMR mate. A great channel for that is a Japanese content creator ‘Morinone’
      Fantastic channel for that sort of thing. Great to help you sleep when you’re not overly tired. Used it plenty of time myself 🤣 I’ve thought about doing one or two vids like that myself. 😉👍

    I'm Keen to get out before Christmas, Do you have a map of the tracks you took?

    • @shaneod
      @shaneod  3 роки тому +1

      There is a map log in my Garmin but basically I went up to Capertee area and followed the map into diggens campground and took some random tracks around the river there
      Then drove up to the upper Turon rd and mostly followed that along the river through to Sofala. Few random tracks I took but this was the main part of it.
      Hope it helps mate, it’s great place to explore

    • @4WheelingInNSW

      Unfortunately they closed a couple of the tracks within Turon over the last few years due to ‘track regeneration’ ( 🤣🐂💩😡 ) so there’s not a hell of a lot of tracks in there now. But one awesome track you can do, which can be a little daunting to 4x4 newbies, is The Pinnacle Fire Trail which goes from the Woolshed Flats campground ( within Turon NP ) all the way up and out to Sunny Corner. That’s a fun track but be warned, the red clay in the area gets very slippery after some rain so make sure you take recovery aids 😉👍
