China , India, Malaysia have far far far more diverse cuisines, instead of different combinations of just 3-4 ingredients. Only a person with under developed taste sense will like it i think.

They have to actually try. I'm America it's commonplace for fast food to just be bad in quality and service but in Asia they're competing with actually delicious street food at a quarter of the price.
Not gonna lie Jimmy, you're not the only one surprised by the KFC. Even I'm surprised about that. Generally KFC in Malaysia is so bad that some of the branch was closed in recent months (Some might say because of the boycott, but I think it is because of both factors). The quality in KFC here were so bad that some people posted that their drumstick is the same size of sauce pack you were given in fast food. So when you get a decent-sized chicken, even I was shocked😂
They started to improve a lot in the past 1 or 2 months ago by changing their supplier, providing way bigger and fresher chicken and also free replacement if you’re not satisfied with the size or taste. So do give a try again 😂
In Malaysia, we have a high standard with fried chicken. That's how much we love fried chickens . And yeah even as Malaysian myself, I'm enjoying eating fast food here which is not going to be good for my health 😂. A&W and Texas Chicken got some good chickens as well. For fast food, for me McDonald is the best, I love their burger the most and their seasonal or limited menu. McDonald chicken is one of the best in fast food restaurant but personally I think A&W fried chicken is better. When we talk about size, Texas Chicken is the top here in Malaysia. They got huge burgers and huge chicken, it's really fulfilling . Their burger is the best after McDonald. For KFC, they actually not the best in Malaysia, they actually dying here but the franchise you go is Avenue K which is one of the few good KFC in Malaysia.
It's a shame that you haven't got to try the real deal for the McDonald's seasonal dishes that only happens once a year in Malaysia. It's the 2X Spicy Chicken and Prosperity Burger.
The American fastfood franchises in Malaysia are Halal just like in a couple of other countries around the world, I think since they only serve chicken and beef as meat the quality overall is higher

Hey Jimmy, just my observation from eating KFC worldwide...due to the Chicken which needs to be Halal, the chicken in Malaysia are juicer and tender as blood needed to be drain in Halal ritual but don't quote me on that...just my observation. I wanna travel to Arab countries and see if their chicken is the same as those here in Malaysia. By the way I love Lotteria's Hanwoo Bulgogi burger and the Saewoo burger...both you don't get in Malaysia and Korea's Mcd Spicy wing with Cajun sauce...oh my gosh...I miss my life in Gangdong-gu!
Regular potatoes can come in different colors. From gold to white to purple among a few of the colors that they have. But that was cool that they did sweet potato fries.

The chicken taco is very similar to what we used to have here in the us called the naked chicken chalupa, interesting to see it's been kept/reintroduced in other countries, or at least Malaysia
about KFC & McDonalds fried chicken, i prefer regular one instead of spicy one. up to individuals preference though. but u better try both. & here in Malaysia maybe u should try our Domino Pizza & Pizza Hut too. they have many varieties too & local touch. do try our drinks & coffee franchise as well
